I am SO excited to share a DARLING new Petite stamp set with you today from the Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions, illustrated by Doug Applegate.  Meet the ADORABLE new Polar Pete!  LOVE him!
All of the patterned paper, cardstock, ribbon and embellishments on my card are from one of the new Taylored Card Kits being released tomorrow!  Each kit includes 10 solid colored cardstock card bases,10 neutral cardstock image panels, envelopes, patterned paper, ribbon, KaiserCraft rhinestones or pearls - all packaged in a Petite Storage Case!  I've used the October Afternoon Sidewalks Taylored Card Kit today!  I must mention how AMAZING the new Petite Storage Cases are!  They can hold six Petite Sets and I LOVE how the are the same height as the TE Mini Binder Boxes from Taylored Expressions, so they look fabulous on my shelf!

I stamped this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I cut out the panel with Circle Nestabilities and then added dots all around with the fabby Viva Pearl Pen in Cream.  Love.  I added some Crystal Stickles to the iceberg for a shimmery, icy look.

All of the patterned paper is Sidewalks from October Afternoon, and I added a border with the Small Scalloped Border Taylored Die.  For the sentiment panel, I started by cutting patterned paper with one of the dies from the Totally Tags Taylored Die, then put the die down on Choice Buttercream Cardstock, traced it and cut it out.  I love a layered look.

I then took Fly Your Flag 1 Taylored Die (which is sold with the coordinating Fly Your Flag 1 Petite Stamp Set) and stamped the sentiment, "Floatin' by to say hi!".  I added some pearls and the bow was created with The Bow Easy.  The focal panel and sentiment panels are popped up with Foam Tape. Wouldn't a Taylored Card Kit, paired with perhaps a new Petite set or two, make an awesome gift for any stampy friend?  Hmmm...my wheels are turning!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

Please head on over and visit with the rest of the Baker's Dozen and see what they have cooked up for you today!

Season's Greetings {MFTWSC48}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It's week 48 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week! Meet MFTWSC48!

I absolutely LOVE this sketch and will be using it ALOT!  It's such a great sketch with the one main focal panel.  For my card today, I've used Clearly Sentimental About Christmas, the current Triple Scoop set at My Favorite Things!  I LOVE this set...it really is a must have.

I pulled out the amazing Well Worn Greetings Die-Namics, along with some Christmas papers, Signature Christmas from My Minds Eye, and got to work.  I stamped "Season's Greetings" onto a piece of patterned paper and the other panels were embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder for some texture.  I added a Maya Road Wooden Button to either side of the sentiment panel.

For the flower part of the sketch, I used the Let It Snowflake Die-Namics to cut out two snowflakes...one out of patterned paper and one from vellum, which I layered together and then topped with another wooden button.  I added a bit of zig zag stitching down the vertical panels.

The inside is super simple with some more patterned paper, zig zag stitching, and another sentiment from this set..."Wishing You A Joyful Christmas".

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!

Today is the first day of MFTeasers for the newest release from My Favorite Things!  Oh....the new stamp sets and Die-Namics are OUT of this world!!

Today we are sharing with you the latest in the WTG lineup...May I Have This Dance?  LOVE this gorgeous new set!!  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her dress with the same patterned paper I used on the rest of the card, Meadowlark from My Minds Eye.  I love the black and white combo with this fun stamp set!

I added an amazing (I think!) border with the new Skyline Border Die-Namics (love).  I cut it out twice...once from black cardstock and once from yellow, and put the yellow behind the black so it looks like the lights are on in the city.  The yellow is really the only color I introduced on this card.

The sentiment, "Let's Dance" was stamped on a panel cut with the...get ready...Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics.  (swooooooooooooooon!).  LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!!  I embossed the background with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and added a big ol' black satin bow using yummy ribbon from the My Favorite Ribbons Black Collection.  Two pearls finish off the front.

For the inside I added some more of the same patterned paper, and another sentiment, "I Love Dancing Through Life With You" (love this sentiment), and I featured it on panels cut with the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

I am SO excited about this release, and the fabulous Perpetual Occasions Calendar I've used today!  This calendar is a DREAM!  I am a cardmaker that NEVER sends cards out on time...now I have this baby in my stamp room and can see, at a glance, every occasion for every month...LOVE it!

With the Perpetual Occasions Calendar you can go simple or wildly embellished, cute or elegant, for yourself or as a gift - it's all up to you. And the best part is that you'll keep this creation for years to come as it tracks birthdays, anniversaries and other re-occurring special occasions.

While there are an ENORMOUS amount of new stamp sets being released this month, I've used the previously released sets, A Year of Sweets 1, A Year of Sweets 2 and A Year of Sweets 3 for my calendar.  I have two pages to share with you today...January and February!

For my January page, I created a scene with this sweet wintery Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 1.  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I then created a mask for him and the snowy ground, and using my Copic Airbrush System, airbrushed in the sky (I used B000).

I added some glitter to the snowy ground, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to each snowflake, and I sewed all around the perimeter with my Janome Sew Mini.  I want to mention that when using Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, the Embellie Gellie makes it a snap to get them just where you want them!  Using the Winter Wonderland Snowflake Taylored Die, I cut two snowflakes...one out of Choice Snow White Cardstock and one from Vellum, and layered them together.  I added a crystal snowflake that I've had in my stash forever for some extra bling.

Here is the Taylored Die I've used on this page:

Next up is my February page.  I LOVE this sweet Cuppie scene, also from A Year Of Sweets 1.  I stamped the scene in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored the image with Copic Markers.  As I did for my January page, I masked all the images and added in the sky with my Copic Airbrush System (again using B000).

I added two clouds cut with the Cloud Duo Taylored Die and then added a heart on top, cut with the Tiny Toppers Taylored Die.  As I did on my January page, I sewed a border around the edge with my Janome Sew Mini.  I added some shimmer to their cherries and all the hearts with a Lipstick Spica Glitter Pen.

Here are the Taylored Die I've used on my card:

MFT November Creative Chat - Stamp Desk & Tools!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:

Show us your desk.  How do you have things set up, and why?
What are your "go-to" tools?  Tell us what you can't live without.

Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team.

Oh how FUN is this???  I LOVE our monthly Creative Chat posts...it's SO fun to see where everyone creates and how they store their stuff!

My stamp room is in the unfinished portion of my basement (for now...we are planning a big basement redo!  WOOT), and I have my parents old kitchen cabinets and counters.  The entire legnth of my desk spans about 6 or 7 feet, so I have lots of room for all my essentials.

In this first picture, you can see what is the start of my desk space.  I have a caddy which holds the tools I reach for all the time, such as scissors, paper piercing supplies, Corner Chompers, etc.  This spins so it makes it super easy to have what I need at my finger tips.  Above the storage boxes I keep a basket with my acrylic blocks as well as a box with the Memento inks I use on most every card.  When stamping, I simply pull these down and then put them away when I am done.  (I scrubbed the cabinets before taking the pics...guess I should have waited until they were dry...lol).

This next view is directly in front of where I sit.  My Copic Markers are one of my most used essentials, so they are right smack in front of me.  I work on my Scor-Pal with the Scor-Mat, though I usually keep a piece of scratch paper there to stamp on.  My paper cutter stays right next to me, and a daylight lamp is a must have in my world as well.

This next view shows you all my Die-Namics in their storage.  You can see that they are in easy reach, since I use them on just about every single card I create.  I ♥ my Die-Namics!  I have an extra container just ready to fill up when I need it.  I keep my big shot in a separate die-cutting area...I am sure I will show you that in the future!

Above these containers I keep my extra die-cut holder, and the heart basket contains all my adhesives (Scor-Tape, Jody Boosters, Tombo Multi, etc).  I have this on my desk when stamping but put it away when I am done.  I also keep any extra stamps I have for blog candy up there, as well as a box of envelopes.

Finally, here is a view of the last part of my desk.  As you can see, I have my laptop right there, as well as my two sewing machines.  I am currently using just my Janome Sew Mini.  Right next to my laptop is a sweet pic of my man, Jon Bon Jovi.  That was taken when I saw him while prego with Meredith...there is no zooming on this pic my friends...he was that close to me.  Sigh.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!  I'm off to go check out the other girls' posts!!

Warm Winter Wishes!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!

Now that November is coming to a close (can you even believe that?), I am nearing the end of my Guest Designer stint at Your Next Stamp!  I've had so much fun this month and have another card to share with you!

My card today features the super darling Fhiona's Snowman.  I stamped this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I added some Rock Candy Stickles to just one side of him for some sparkle.  All of the patterned paper is Be Merry from My Minds Eye, and the Kraft background panel was embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

The border was created with the Icicle Border Die-Namics from MFT, and the sentiment, "Warm Winter Wishes" was stamped onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  I added a snowflake cut from vellum with the Let It Snowflake Die-Namics and added a button to the center tied with some twine.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel and the bow was created with The Bow Easy.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and a HUGE thank you to Karen for having me join you this month!!!

Let There Be Peace On Earth!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I created using this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC360!  Another card for the Christmas Card stash...woot!

I've quite a few My Favorite Things products on my card today!  To start, I used the Decorative Doily Duo Die-Namics (the larger of the two) for the base of my focal frame.  I then using Circle Nestabilities to cut the other two panels.  On the patterned paper panel (all of the patterned paper are from The Merry Days of Christmas from My Minds Eye), I stamped "Let There Be Peace On Earth" from the gorgeous Inspired By Christmas set.

Using the Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-Namics (the leaf dies), I cut a bunch of leaves out of My Favorite Felt in Sour Apple.  I then arranged them around the focal frame.  I cut the bird and wing using the Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics out of My Favorite Felt in Cherry On Top and added a Baby Braddie for the eye.  The border was cut with the Faux Crochet Border Die-Namics and I added a bit of stitching and two silver brads.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, another border cut with the Faux Crochet Border Die-namics, and another sentiment, "May Your Season Be Filled With Love And Laughter", which is from Clearly Sentimental About Christmas, the current Triple Scoop Promotion.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

I {Heart} U!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!!  I have another card to share with you using the fabulous November SFYTT!

This month, the SFYTT sisters are sponsored by the fabulous Verve, and my card today features some Verv-age that I have been waiting to get inky!  Yay!  SO glad I finally got to use these goodies!

For my card today, I used the fabulous You and I stamp set from Verve.  Everytime I glance at this set in my stamp cabinet, I start singing You and I by Lady Gaga.  I've paired this set with the coordinating I Heart U Die Set, also from Verve.

I cut the "i" from patterned paper and the "u" from cardstock, and I stamped the "you" stamp from You and I repeatedly onto it.  All of the patterned paper is from Mischevious from My Minds Eye, Halloween papers...yes...but I like the masculine feel of them for all year long.  A bit of bakers twine and two silver brads are the only embellies on this card.

You still have a few more days to enter your card for the November SFYTT Sketch!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Recipe:
Stamps:  You and I from Verve
Paper: Terracotta Tile (PTI), Kraft (PTI), True Black (PTI), Choice Buttercream (TE) and Mischevious (My Minds Eye)

Oh.My.Word.  These tags were SO much fun to create!  I now have two new obsessions...tags and Viva Pearl Pens!  I've used one of my favorite Taylored Expressions stamp sets for my tags today...Season's Sweetings!  There is just something about holiday Cuppies that makes me smile!

I started with a Kraft base cut with the Gift Card Frame Taylored Die.  I cut two for each tag.  I then added a panel of green cardstock, cut with the Take Note Frame 3 Taylored Die, and impressed with the woodgrain side of the Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Taylored Impression Plate.

I added a panel of patterned paper, which is from Holly Jolly from Echo Park Papers.  This darling holly decorated Cuppie was stamped onto a panel of Choice Buttercream Cardstock cut with the scalloped circle from the Totally Tags Taylored Dies.  I colored them with Copic Markers and paper pieced their "liners" with some of the same patterned paper collection.  The leaves of holly and her cherry have a bit of shimmer that I added with Spica Glitter Pens.

The sentiment, "Merry & Bright", also from Season's Sweetings, was stamped onto a panel of Choice Buttercream Cardstock cut with the Favor Frame Taylored Die.  I attached it to the side of my tag, and then added the "back" of my tag, which is the other Kraft panel cut with the Gift Card Frame Taylored Die.

I added a jumbo eyelet to the top of the tag, which I threaded with some rope twine from my stash.  I used the AMAZING Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White to add the pearls around the Cuppie panel.  I finished off my tags by adding an acetate snowflake to each one cut with the largest snowflake die from the Winter Wonderland Snowflake Taylored Dies.  I then adorned each snowflake with a button and some twine.  Of course, I used Foam Tape to pop up some elements for extra dimension.

Check out the Tags & Tag-a-longs available now @ Taylored Expressions:

Here are the Taylored Dies and Taylored Impression Plate I've used on my tags:

Now it's time to hop around and check out the taggy goodness from these amazing designers!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a card to share with you today using a darling stamp from Your Next Stamp, Football Dude (currently in the YNS Stamp Bargain Bin for an unbelievable price!  I thought he was appropriate for Thanksgiving since all the men in my family will most likely spend the day, aside from dinner, in front of the tv watching some games!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I cut him out with Rectangle Nestabilities and then traced around the inside of the die with a Copic Multliner to create the frame.

The layout is the November SFYTT...it's such a fab sketch with that big center panel!  All of the patterned paper is Nest/Endless & Fair-Weather from Authentique.  I added some silver brads and some die-cut stars to finish this one off!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  I wish you all a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!!

Merry Wishes {MFTWSC47}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It's week 47 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC47!

I am slowly but surely building up a stash of Christmas cards!  This week's sketch was perfect (I thought!) for a sweet Pure Innocence, and I pulled out the ever so darling Pure Innocence Making A List from My Favorite Things. She is colored with Copic Markers and I paper pieced her dress with one of the patterns I used on the card, which are all from Jingle by Lily Bee Designs.

I cut her out and popped her up onto a panel cut with the Tag You're It Die-Namics.  I traced this Die-Namics die as well and then hand cut out the panel to layer it.  I embossed the tag with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and then added some more patterned paper.  A big ol' bow adorns the top of the tag, along with two jingle bells for fun.  The sentiment, "Merry Wishes" is from Pure Innocence Presents For You, and I stamped it onto a panel cut with the Oval Tab Die-Namics.  A simple scallop border of patterned paper, cut with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics, separates the two other patterns.

On the inside I added more patterned paper, and again used the Tag You're It Die-Namics, this time as the sentiment/message panel.  I cut it out of Kraft cardstock and again traced the die and layered it.  I stamped this cutie again in Riding Hood Red ink, and added another sentiment, "I've made a list & checked it twice.  In my book you are nice, nice, nice!", also from Pure Innocence Making A List.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:
