For my project today I knew I wanted to decorate a Perfect Package box to house photos. Lately I have really wanted to get better at photographing the small moments, and I want to get better photo quality too! I am anxiously waiting for the Project Life kit I want to come back in stock (anyone have a Clementine Core Kit that want to part with??) and the hubs and I just ordered a new camera...which I am SUPER excited about. In preparation of all the photos and memories I plan on creating, I decorated this box!
All of the patterned paper is Howdy Doody from My Minds Eye and I cut the camera using the Behind The Camera Die-Namics out of Kraft Cardstock and then embossed it with the Retro Diamonds Embossing Folder. I added a strip of patterned paper across the camera and adorned it with a border cut with the new Mini Monarch Border Die-Namics. I cut the two pieces of the lens with the Behind The Camera Die-Namics out of both Choice Buttercream Cardstock and patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment from Behind The Camera, "every photograph captured is a memory stored" and added a circle bling. I also added a Howdy Doody button to the inside circle.
The flowers were cut with the Royal Rose Die-Namics and tucked underneath the two roses is a panel cut with the Large Leafy Flourish Die-Namics. I sponged the edges of all the patterned paper pieces with Tea Dye Distress Ink..it really adds so much depth. Lots of twine, stitching and brads finish the front.
Here is a closeup of the "lens" on the camera.
And here is a closeup of one of the roses cut with the Royal Rose Die-Namics (seriously my favorite rolled flower Die-Namics to date!).
For the front flap of my photo box, I added another "lens", this time using another sentiment from Behind The Camera, "capture this moment, it will never be returned". LOVE that. Using the By The Letters Die-Namics I cut out "click!", sponged the edges and then popped them up with Jody Boosters. A bit more stitching, brads and another bling circle finish this part up.
Here is a closeup of the "lens" on this panel. Another Howdy Doody Button is in the center. Yummy no?
Here are all the Die-Namics I've used to create my photo box:
