Serena Faethe {MFTWSC66}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!   It's week 66 of our WSC Getting Sketchy (April 4 - April 10). We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC66!

My friend Lisa asked me to make a card for her friend who had a little girl.  When Lisa had her daughter I made her a card and she keeps it her little girl's baby book.  I was excited to create a card for her friend...I love to be able to personalize a card!

I started with the darling Pure Innocence Girl and Baby and stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with the same papers I've used on the card, Victoria Park from Lily Bee Designs.  I cut her out and popped her up onto circles cut with the new Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics, and I added a rhinestone circle for a bit of shine.

For the vertical panel of the sketch I used the fabulous new Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics, which are seriously swoon-worthy.  I added a bit more interest with a small panel cut with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics tucked next to the flag.

I used the Mini Banner Day Alphabet to stamp out the baby's name onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  It only took two tries to line it up correctly!  LOL.   I added a layered flower cut from patterned paper using the Pretty Posies Die-Namics and topped it off with a button cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics.  I added some Flax Twine (this color is SO delish) as well.

For the inside I added more patterned paper, another border cut with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics, and a sentiment from Pure Innocence Girl and Baby.  A bit more Flax Twine ties it (pun intended) into the design on the front.  I used Bubblegum Cardstock for the cardbase and Kraft Cardstock for the main panel.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2012.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC66 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, April 10th to play along.
