Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It's week 71 of our WSC Getting Sketchy (May 9-May 15). We have another fabulous sketch for you this week! Meet MFTWSC71!
I am SO bummed that I missed last week's sketch, but I am back on track with today's card, featuring the darling new Pure Innocence Goldfish Girl! Isn't she a cutie? I stamped her and then cut out the panel, and layered it, with the new Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. I colored her with Copic Markers and then paper pieced her shirt and leggings with the same papers I've used on my card, Indie Chic Ginger from My Minds Eye (yum).
On the lower horizontal panel I added a border using the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics, and the sentiment, "You're Golden" was stamped onto a panel cut with the Ticket Tab Die-Namics. Can you see my error? Yep, I put my sentiment tab on the wrong side of the focal panel. Sigh. Par for the course for the past few days.
I added a fun detail in the top corner using the Photo Corners Die-Namics, and I created a flower using the Pretty Posies Die-Namics. I added a paper button cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics in the center of the flower tied with a bit of Charcoal Twine. I added two silver brads to one of the panels and called the front done.
I added some Glossy Accents to the goldfish bowl. LOVE that little detail!
The inside is simple, with just a strip of patterned paper along with a border cut with the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics again. I added another sentiment from Pure Innocence Goldfish Girl, "You've Got Me Hook, Line and Sinker".
Here are the Copic Markers I've used on this card:
And here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly
draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the
sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps
and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the
sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery
at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the
upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from
that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2012.
