For my card today I've used the fabulous Girls Rule Who's That Girl set! I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copic Markers and then paper pieced her dress. All of the patterned papers are from Clippings from Basic Grey, and I used the floral pattern for her dress. I stamped the sentiment, "It's A Girl Thing", onto a piece of Sweet Tooth Cardstock cut with the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics, which I tucked on top of the focal panel. I added two brads from the Vintage Jumbo Rounds for more embellishment.
All of the buttons on my card are from the Seaside Round Color Mix. LOVE how perfectly these buttons compliment the papers I've used! I tied them with some linen thread. I've also used some twill ribbon and added a border of My Favorite Felt in Puff Cloud White cut with the Simply Scallops Small Die-Namics.
I created a flower using the Plentiful Petals Die-Namics and adorned the center with one of the Seaside buttons. LOVE how that turned out!
On the inside I added more patterned paper, and cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock with the Sentiment Strips Die-Namics and stamped another sentiment, "I'm Here If You Need Me". I also used Kraft for the card base.
Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:

ReplyDeleteYour background patterned paper is interesting, Your sentiment is in a nice girly style. I like your choice of colors and textures in your buttons, and the flower makes me think of 60's/70's Flower Power! Especiall in orange. It was also a nice repetition of the flower being held. I like that you repeated the use of white in layering the paper, the felt scalloping, and the sentiment tag. I also liked the use of the twine, and the twill ribbon. Thank you for sharing.
