Happy World Card Making Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday and Happy World Cardmaking Day!

All of us here at My Favorite Things wish you a Happy World Card Making Day! Maybe your personal style includes coloring with markers, or possibly you enjoy some fresh and clean stamping. Maybe you simply like creating custom elements with our Die-namics dies. Whatever it is that you like to do, we only hope that you get a chance to create something special today!

Don’t forget that we also offer an assortment of coordinating Replenishments including cardstock, felt, buttons and ribbon.

Sketches are always a great starting point for a little cardmaking, and we have 92 weeks of sketches available as part of our ongoing Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. The first year of sketches is available here: MFTsketches1-52, and year two (to date) is available here: MFT Sketches 53-92.

 I LOVE that we have our very own holiday and I had LOTS of fun creating my card!  I started with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch, MOJO261.  I LOVE a good sketch and it was SO fun to have time to play along with this week's sketch!  All of the patterned paper is A Mother's Love from My Minds Eye.

I cut the circle panels using the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics.   Using Kraft cardstock (love), I cut a flag using the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics, and I stamped the quote "All You Need Is Love" by John Lennon from Clearly Sentimental About You.

Using the Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics I cut two hearts, the smaller heart from Kraft Cardstock and the larger heart from Red My Favorite Felt.  I attached  Kraft Button, threaded with Hemp Cord, on top of the circle panel.  The vertical panel has a border cut with the Postage Stamp Border Die-Namics.

On the inside I added another strip of patterned paper, another felt heart with a Kraft Button, along with the stamped "xoxo" from More Essential Sentiments.
