Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!
I've been working on some Valentine's Day home decor items the past few weeks, some of which were inspired by pins on Pinterest, and I have been having a blast!!
I made this floral arrangement for the shelf in my living room. This was SUPER fun to make, and super easy too!
I started with a flower pot that I purchased from a big box craft store and painted it with white acrylic paint. Using a hot glue gun, I glue a styrofoam ball inside the pot. I then went to town cutting roses using the Large Rolled Rose Die-Namics!
I used three different colors of MFT Felt. This felt is a DREAM to work with. It cuts SO beautifully...no fuzzy edges to worry about! I cut the roses from Razzle Berry Felt (my favorite!), Bubblegum Felt and Red Hot Felt. I rolled them all while watching tv, and used my hot glue gun to attach them to the styrofoam ball.
Here is another view. It's SO pretty in real life...I hope it's coming off that way in the photos (smile!). In this picture you can see how poofy the roses are. LOVE.
I tied some gingham ribbon from my stash around the pot, and added a bow. I cut a tag from Kraft Cardstock using the Notched Tag Die-Namics, and stamped "Hugs & Kisses" from Homespun Hearts in Black Licorice Ink. I attached it to the pot with some Hemp Cord.
Here are the MFT goodies I've used on my project:
