Hi everyone! Happy Monday!
It's time for the June MFT Release Rewind, and both today and tomorrow the MFT Design Team will be sharing more inspiration using the newest release from My Favorite Things!
I have two cards to share with you today, and I've used the two new Pure Innocence sets! I just love them and wanted to share them again with you! I've also used the new Washi Tape Die-Namics on both of my cards...this is my new favorite Die-Namics and I have not put it away since I used it during Teasers!
First up I have a card using Pure Innocence On A Picnic. I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I did a bit of paper piecing on the picnic blanket, her shirt, and her bow, using the same papers I've used on my card, Trend Setter from Fancy Pants.
Here is a closeup of this sweetie and her teddy bear. I cut out the panel, and layered it, using the Rectangle STAX Die-Namics 1 and Rectangle STAX Die-Namics 2. I also added a layered circle, cut with the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics, behind the focal panel.
Using the awesome new Washi Tape Die-Namics, I cut out two patterns of paper and layered them for a fun little accent. I think it gives just the right element to that side of my card, and I LOVE how I can now either cut, or stamp with the new Washi Patterns stamp set, washi tape to match ANY card I create. Bliss.
You'll also notice the scallop border on the vertical panel in the background. It was cut using Sweet Tooth Cardstock, which I use for all my matting, using the new Blueprints 4 Die-Namics. The card base is Nightshift Blue, which was the perfect compliment to the patterned papers I've used.
On the inside I added a few more layers of cardstock, with Kraft as the main layer, and a trio of panels cut with the Washi Tape Die-Namics. On the smallest piece of "washi tape" I stamped the sentiment, "Let's Do Lunch" in Black Licorice Ink.
Here are the MFT products I've used on my card:
My next card uses the darling Pure Innocence Gone Fishin' set! As I did in the card above, I stamped her onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her shirt using the same papers I've used on the card, Down The Shore from Fancy Pants.
I cut out the panel, and layered it, using the Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. I stamped the fish separately, colored it with Copic Markers, and then fussy cut it out and added it to the fishing line.
Behind the focal panel I added a layered circle cut with the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics. If you don't have these in your collection, you really need them! They layer so beautifully with the perfect spacing!
I put the Washi Tape Die-Namics to work again on this card, and cut two from patterned paper. Isn't that the most fun? LOVE it! I added a big, delightful Lemon Drop Button on top, tied with Hemp Cord.
On the inside I added more patterned paper, and stamped both sentiments from the set, one on top of the other, in Black Licorice Ink.
