February MFT Creative Challenge: Stencils!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's time for a new MFT Creative Challenge, and this month it's all about using our stencils!  I recently took an online class about stencils, so I was super inspired.  I have two cards to share with you today!

My first card features the fantastic new Wildcat Stencil, and my oldest daughter has already decided that this is her birthday card!

I started with panels of Smooth White Cardstock and Black Licorice Cardstock, and cut them both using the Blueprints 1 Die-Namics.  Starting with the Black Licorice panel, I used the Heart STAX Die-Namics to cut the heart shape window.
I then took the Smooth White panel and, using the Wildcat Stencil, sponged some bright colors, using Grape Jelly, Razzle Berry, Blu Raspberry and Lemon Drop.  When done, I popped the Black Licorice panel up on top of the stenciled panel using lots of Jody Boosters.
Again using Smooth White Cardstock, I cut the banner using the Dimensional Banners Die-Namics.  I stamped "#HAPPYBIRTHDAY" from Friend Request in Black Licorice Ink.  I finished off the front with a trio of enamel dots.

On the inside, I cut another panel of Smooth White Cardstock with the Blueprints 1 Die-Namics, and then masked off a line and sponged more colors using Wildcat Stencil.  I then stamped another sentiment, "#BESTDAYEVER", again from Friend Request, in Black Licorice Ink.

Here are the MFT products I've used on my card:
My second card has a few of the same colors as my first card, but has a completely different look.  For this card, I used the Fleur De Lis Stencil and some Clear Gel Medium to create the background.
I started with a Black Licorice panel and I taped the Fleur De Lis Stencil down and then, using a palette knife, added Clear Gel Medium.  It was pretty fast drying, so I put the panel to the side while I created my flowers.  I cut the flowers from Lemon Drop and Razzle Berry Cardstock using the Plentiful Petals Die-Namics and Layered Rose Die-Namics.  The leaves were cut with the Layered Leaves Die-Namics using Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green Cardstock.  I also tucked in a Grapesicle Button.  The sentiment, "Hello" is from On The Line, and I stamped it with Black Licorice Ink onto a panel of Smooth White Cardstock cut with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-Namics.

Here is a better view of the background.  When the Gel Medium dries, it has a shiny, raised look, which I just LOVE.  I cut the panel out with the Blueprints 1 Die-Namics and layered it with Smooth White Cardstock cut with the Blueprints 2 Die-Namics.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the gorgeous new Simply Fabulous Sayings set using Razzle Berry and Black Licorice Inks.
