May MFT Creative Challenge!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the May MFT Creative Challenge!  This month, the MFT Design Team is creating masculine projects for the men in our lives!  I love to make masculine cards, and I am excited...my Father's Day cards for my hubby are now done!

I have two cards to share with you today!  My first card features the new Rectangle Frames Die-Namics, Tool Time Die-Namics, Pegboard Cover Up Die-Namics, Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-Namics along with the new Let's Tool Around set!  PERFECT for my hubs (he is an electrician).

I went with a color combo that my husband likes (he loves those Irish colors!), Gumdrop Green, Orange Fizz and White, and I added in some Kraft and Black Licorice.  I used the current Mojo Monday Sketch, MOJO347 for the layout.

I stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice Ink onto a Smooth White panel cut with the Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics.  I added a screwdriver (so cute right?) cut from Orange Fizz and Steel Grey.  I added a bit o shine to the Steel Grey portion using a Clear Wink of Stella Marker.  The Gumdrop Green panel was cut with the new Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-Namics.

I am LOVING the new Rectangle Frames Die-Namics, and cut it here from Black Licorice Cardstock.  The Kraft panel was cut with the new Pegboard Cover Up Die-Namics.  I added a little flag cut with the Bitty Banners Die-Namics and topped it off with a Sweet Tooth Button tied with Hemp Cord.

On the inside, I added two more panels, and stamped a strip of Smooth White cardstock that I cut with the Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-Namics with the screws and Steel Grey Ink.

My second card is for my girls to give my husband.  I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch for the layout, DS152, and I used the fabulous Clearly Sentimental About Fathers and Plaid Background Builder!  I LOVE this sentiment...I may have to use it for my Dad's card too!

I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice Ink onto a Smooth White panel cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics.  I added another circle cut from Orange Fizz Cardstock.  The Gumdrop Green panel was cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics.  I cut a panel of Smooth White Cardstock using the Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics and stamped it with Orange Fizz, Gumdrop Green and Kraft inks using the Plaid Background Builder.

I used Blueprints 14 Die-Namics to cut the stitched Kraft panel, and I used another die in this set to cut the three rows of dots on the bottom.  SUCH a fun little element no?

On the inside, I used the same Blueprints to cut the panels, and stamped another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Fathers in Black Licorice Ink.
