Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
I have a card to share with you using the current MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC211, which you can find right on the MFT Challenge Blog!
This card was made as a special request for a friend. She asked for a Bat Mitzvah card for a girl with a candy theme. I was stuck at first, but my Die-namics never let me down! I started by stamping the sweet Pure Innocence One Of My Favorite Peeps using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, taking care NOT to ink the little peep lollipop. I colored her with Copic Markers and added shimmer to her dress using a Clear Wink of Stella Marker. I added a heart to her lollipop stick cut from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock using the Love Centerpieces Die-namics and added shimmer to that as well with a Clear WInk of Stella Marker. I cut her out using the Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics.
I cut another panel of X-Press It Blending Card using the Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, and after cutting it out, I flipped it over and ran it through my machine again so that both ends have flags. Using the Negative Dot Alphabet Die-namics, I cut out “MAZEL TOV AVA!” from Cotton Candy Card Stock and adhered it to the flag panel.
The main panel of Cotton Candy Card Stock was cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and stamped with the Swiss Dots Background using Cotton Candy Ink. I added a panel of Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock to the top and bottom of the card, per the sketch, cut with the Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-namics and stamped with the Diagonal Stripes Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I seriously think I need a Diagonal Stripes Background Intervention. I CANNOT STOP USING IT. I added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics…another die that needs to be pried from my hands. The scallop border just lends the perfect sweetness to any card! I finished off the front with a Razzle Berry Button tied with Hemp Cord.
On the inside, I cut another panel of Cotton Candy Card Stock using Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and added another mat of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics. I added a panel of Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock cut with the Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-namics and stamped with the Diagonal Stripes Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. The sentiment, “Have a Delicious Birthday”, is from LJD Delicious Birthday and I stamped it using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to the MFT Challenge Blog to play along!
