Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It’s time for a new Color Throwdown, and this week Joan has challenged us to use white, black and yellow! As soon as I saw this color combo, I immediately knew I wanted to use the Houndstooth Background! It’s a classic black and white pattern!
I used Blueprints 12 Die-namics for the layout, and this is one of my favorite go-to layouts! I cut a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 12 Die-namics, and thanks to the MISTI, easily stamped the Houndstooth Background using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I layered this panel onto a panel of Kraft Card Stock cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics. I added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 2 Die-namics.
I used Blueprints 12 Die-namics to cut the circle from Smooth White Card Stock, and I stamped “You’re All I Need” from Smitten With You using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. The two flags were cut from Kraft Card Stock and Black Licorice Card Stock, and I cut the flower from Daffodil Prestige Card Stock, cutting the leaves from Gumdrop Green Card Stock. I added a trio of enamel dots to finish off the front.
On the inside, I cut two panels of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics and Blueprints 2 Die-namics, and I stamped another sentiment from Smitten With You, “Love you to Pieces” using Daffodil Premium Dye Ink and Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
Check out what the Color Throwdown Team has created today!
