May MFT Creative Challenge – In The Background!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

This month’s MFT Creative Challenge is all about using our incredible line of Background Stamps, and to have them as the main canvas of our designs!  I LOVE using Background Stamps, and I use them on just about every single card I create!

I’ve used one of my favorite backgrounds for my card today, and it certainly takes center stage…the Houndstooth Background (you totally thought I was going to say the Diagonal Stripes Background didn’t you?)!

I LOVE this background!  It packs a lot of punch!  I stamped the Houndstooth Background using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock, which I then cut using Blueprints 1 Die-namics.

The flowers were created with the Gerbera Daisy Die-namics, and the leaves using the Royal Leaves Die-namics.  I cut the flowers using Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock, Orange Fizz Card Stock, Daffodil Prestige Card Stock, Chocolate Brown Card Stock and Limelight Prestige Card Stock, and sponged them using Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink, Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink, Daffodil Premium Dye Ink, Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink and Limelight Premium Dye Ink.  After arranging the flowers, and popping them up with Jody Boosters, I stamped the sentiment, “Thinking Of You” from LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I added a trio of rhinestones to finish it off.
