June MFT Creative Challenge – Go Overboard!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for the June MFT Creative Challenge, and this month, the MFT Design Team are sharing projects with a nautical flavor!  I’ve used the darling Pure Innocence Sailor Girl paired with Go Overboard and the Diagonal Stripes Background (shocking, I know) for my card today!

Print

I started by stamping the sweet Pure Innocence Sailor Girl using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto a panel of X-Press It Blending card and then I cut her out using the new Zig-Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics.  I colored her with Copic Markers and added some highlights to her hat with a white gel pen.

The main panel of Sweet Tooth Card Stock was cut using Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and I added a mat of Sweet Tooth Card Stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics.  I stamped the anchor stamp from Go Overboard using After Midnight Premium Dye Ink, alternating the direction of the anchor.  I cut a panel of Daffodil Prestige Card Stock and stamped it with the Diagonal Stripes Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I wrapped the panel with Hemp Cord and then added a sweet little anchor cut from After Midnight Prestige Card Stock using the Sea Charms Die-namics.  I added a bow of Hemp Cord as well.

On the inside, I cut another two panels of Sweet Tooth Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics and Blueprints 20 Die-namics.  I added another strip of Daffodil Prestige Card Stock stamped with the Diagonal Stripes Background with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  Using Daffodil Premium Dye Ink and After Midnight Premium Dye Ink, I stamped “You Keep Me Anchored” from Go Overboard, with the help of the MISTI.
