April MFT Release Countdown: Day Four!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!

We are counting down to the FABULOUS April MFT Release!  All of the amazing new products will be released on Tuesday, April 4th at 9PM EST right HERE in the MFT Boutique!

Today I have a card to share with you using the newest from the INCREDIBLE Birdie Brown, the DARLING new Up In The Air and Up In The Air Die-namics!  LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE!

I just LOVE these hot air balloons!  I cut them from X-Press It Blending Card using the Up In The Air DIe-namics, and then stamped them using the new Up In The Air set using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and added some highlights with a White Gel Pen.

The background was cut from Ranger Watercolor Paper using Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and then watercolored the “sky” and “grass” using Distress Inks.  I stamped “You’re Growing UP, UP, UP” from Up In The Air using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder.  I then popped the hot air balloons up with Foam Tape

  1. This is such a great card Jodi for a "tween". I find pre-teen girl and boy cards a challenge but this is perfect!

  3. Very nice card! I agree with Theresa above, perfect for the Tween group of kids, I will say that my 7 year old great niece would squeal with delight if I made this for her.

  5. Love the balloons on the watercolor background. I like how you shaded the big balloon, it makes it look curved instead of flat.
