July MFT Hits & Highlights!

It’s time for the July MFT Hits & Highlights Feature, and this month, the MFT Design Team is sharing projects featuring sun, sand and water! How fun is that?

I created a beach scene using the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics and the darling Polynesian Paradise! LOVE! I began by cutting out this cutie, along with the pineapple and flower, from No-Line Coloring Card using the Polynesian Paradise Die-namics, and then stamped them with Polynesian Paradise using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and put them aside.

For the background, I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics and I sponged on Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink, Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Ink. The sand and surf were cut from Kraft Card Stock and Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock using the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics, and I used the dies to cut the palm tree from Chocolate Brown Prestige Card Stock and Gumdrop Green Card Stock. The sun was cut using the same dies from Daffodil Prestige Card Stock, and the clouds were cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Puffy Clouds Die-namics. I arranged all of the elements onto the card and popped them up using Foam Tape. I stamped the sentiment using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.
