MFT May Vault Release!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

The MFT Vault is opening, and I am SO excited about the goodies coming your way!! Today I created a card for my daughter who is graduating middle school. I feel SO sad for all the graduates this year, the whole world is upside down! Middle school is certainly not as big of a deal as high school, but I sure am sad nonetheless!! This little cute makes me feel better, though!!

This card was SUPER fun to create, and aside from the mat and the sentiment panel, it is a one layer card! I started with a panel of No-Line Coloring Card Stock, and I laid the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil on top (the center rectangle). I then stamped the apples, pencils and rulers from Class Act using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. Once I stamped them, I simply traced around the rectangle stencil panel to create the frame. I sponged the edges lightly with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink for some depth.

I removed the stencil panel and then stamped this little cutie in the open rectangle space. I colored her, and the images in my border, first with Copic Markers and then with Polychromos Colored Pencils. LOVE. The sentiment, "YOU DID IT" was stamped onto a strip of Smooth White Card Stock, trimmed down and then attached to the card with foam tape. I finished off the card with a trio of enamel dots.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head over to the MFT Blog to check out what the rest of the team have created!!

  1. Jodi I like your card! So fun and bright! Any one would be overjoyed to receive it!!! Especially now since so many parents are homeschooling and trying to deal with Covid--this card will brighten a day and let them know they are doing great, and now done! ;) Cheers and crafty hugs!
