Need To Venti?

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!!

I have a quick little CAS card to share with you today!  I have a friend...and this friend is the first person I go to when I need to vent...and vice versa, so I HAD to create this little card to send to her!

Can you even stand the cuteness of these little coffee cups?  The stamps I used on this little number are from Paper Smooches...the new Hot Concoctions stamp set.  I have a little obsession with Paper Smooches stamps and when I saw this set in their last release I KNEW it had to come live at my house.  When the name of your blog is "Stamping a Latte", you tend to gravitate towards coffee stamp sets (wink).

I started with a card base of Choice Snow White cardstock and rounded the bottom corners with my Corner Chomper.  I stamped the four cups in Memento Tuxedo Black and then added the hearts to the "sleeves".  The sentiment was stamped under the last cup...LOVE this sentiment, "Need to venti?"  hehe.

I colored the cups with Copic Markers and then added some simple Charcoal Baker's Twine.  Easy peasy!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  Going to head out with the fam for some Fall fun!  Enjoy your day!

I'm Flippin' Out!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!!

You may have noticed a CAS card (or two) appearing on my blog in recent weeks.  I have been trying to stretch my design muscles and I am having so much fun!  Personally, it is more difficult for me to make a CAS card than to make a card with lots of layers.  I have to stop myself from going overboard.

Today I have a card that I created using the Clean & Simple Fall To Layout 152.  Somehow, up until writing this post, I missed the whole "tall skinny card" part of this challenge.  Sigh.  Oh well, I still had fun!

For my card, I started with the brand new (and totally adorable) Get Your Thong On from There She Goes.  I pulled out my handy dandy Grid Acrylic Block and lined up three different pairs of flip flops.  I inked them and stamped them all at once...it's an easy way to ensure you are getting an aligned image.

I colored all three pairs with Copic Markers and on the center pair, I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center of the flower.  I used the brand new Bracket Tab Die-Namics for the shaped panel underneath the focal panel, and I cut it twice, both out of Razzleberry Cardstock.  I then just tucked them underneath my focal panel.

I stamped the sentiment, "I'm Flippin' Out" (which totally cracks me up) and then added three more of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles underneath it.  Easy peasy!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

There She Goes Previews: Zoo-pendous!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

Did you make your way here by way of my dear friend Jessie's Blog (love her!)?  If so, perfect!  If not, please head on over to the There She Goes Blog to start this hop at the beginning!
Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice. She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!

OK...seriously, this card was SO much fun to create!  I started by stamping this ADORABLE giraffe (omg...isn't he SO cute?), colored him with Copic Markers and then cut him out.  I created the cloud background and then die cut the tree with the Teardrop Tree Die-Namics.  I LOVE how perfectly sized this is and how it works with my sweet little giraffe.  I also die cut some grass with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-Namics and then built up my scene.

The sentiment, "Wild About You" was cut with the File Tab Die-Namics and then attached to the side of my focal panel.  The panel on which I built my scene is the only layer...I simply attached it to a card base of Kraft cardstock.  A simple bit of Cappuccino Baker's Twine finishes this off.  This is one of those cards I am not sure I could part with!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.  Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  The next stop on this wild hop is at the fabulous Karen Giron's Blog (love her too!).

May Your Day Be Filled With Sweetness!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!!

You may have seen me mention that I have been really loving the CAS look lately.  I have added some fun CAS blogs to my Google Reader, and one of my favorites is the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog.  For my card today, I used the fun sketch, FTL148.  This is also for the CAS-Friday Challenge, CFC11, Sweets and Treats...to use a sweet or treat on your card!

This was a fun card to make!  I started with the DARLING Buckets of Love (currently being restocked) set from There She Goes and stamped the pail and sweets in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  I then fussy cut the image out.

I cut the three circles from Bubblegum, Sour Apple and Berrylicious cardstock, all from My Favorite Things, with Circle Nestabilities and then layered them onto my Choice Snow White panel. I added some Black Gingham Ribbon, along with a bow created with the Bow Easy and then popped up my image with Jody Boosters on top of the circles.

The sentiment, "May your day be filled with sweetness" was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I added three pink pearls underneath.  Easy peasy!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hot Stuff!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!

I have been quietly amassing quite a stash of Paper Smooches stamps (LOVE them), but haven't had time to get them inky!  I sat down for a bit of quiet time this weekend and created this quick, CAS card!

CAS is not a style I claim to be proficient at, however, I really do love the look of CAS and like to push myself to create cards using a different style than my normal of lots of layers and patterned paper.

I used the Fall To Layout 145 from the Clean & Simple Blog for my layout, and I also used a few different Paper Smooches sets.  I thought it would be fun to make one of the televisions from Boob Tubes into a convection oven!  The pie from FOLKal Points was the perfect addition to my improvised "oven" and the sentiment, "Hot Stuff" is from Vegtastic!

The "oven" was colored with Copic Markers, and I used Fine Linen for my card base, and for the three color blocked panels I used Smokey Shadow, Dark Chocolate and Kraft.  The only embellishments are Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the buttons on my "oven" and a simple bow of Baker's Twine.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I have a set of three cards to share with you today using some of the new goodies from Taylored Expressions

I am just IN LOVE with the new Green Acres set...I think that the images and sentiments are ADORABLE and hysterical, and I wanted to create a set of Clean & Simple cards using them!  These were seriously SO fun (and simple!) to create!   This set was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and includes a whopping 24 stamps!!

For all three, I started with Kraft cardstock which I embossed with the Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate.  The Embossing Pad Kit gives a great impression when paired with Impression Plates and Taylored Dies!   I rounded the bottom corners on all three with the Corner Chomper.  LOVE.  All of the images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed all the focal panels with Rectangle Nestabilities and added Baker's Twine to each as well.

This first card is my personal favorite of the set. I LOVE this tractor (it reminds me of the ones in Cars) and I paired it with the "Oh Crop" sentiment.  Wouldn't this be perfect for an "I'm sorry" card, or even a "whoops" card if someone hurts themselves?

For the second card, I went with the pile of hay (how cute!) and the awesome "Hay There" sentiment.  Love the mix of fonts on this one!

For my last card, I just had to ink up this cute little pig!  I also stamped his nose twice and popped it up on Foam Tape.  The sentiment, "Hogs & Kisses", totally cracks me up!

Here is the Impression Plate I've used on my set of cards today:

Please head on over to the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see what they have whipped up for you today!

A Wee Bit of Heaven!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!

I have a Clean and Simple card to share with you today!  I am loving all the baby-goodness from this past Taylored Expressions release, and I pulled out the darling Welcome Little One set for my card today.

Welcome Little One is the current charitable set in the TE Giving Tree Program.  From May through July, 2011, Taylored Expressions will donate $7 from the sale of each Welcome Little One set to Bethany Christian Services.  Pretty amazing right?

I started with a card base of Choice Snow White Cardstock (this cardstock, along with Choice Buttercream) are my go-to neutrals.  LOVE the smoothness for Copic coloring too!) and rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper Tool.  I chose four of the solid images from Welcome Little One and then stamped them in a square using Memento Angel Pink, Memento New Sprout, Memento Summer Sky, and Memento Cantaloupe.

I LOVE the sentiment, also from Welcome Little One "A wee bit of heaven came from above.  A handful of happiness, a heart full of love" and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black to the left of the blocked images.  A simple lemon silk ribbon tied in a big bow finishes this one off.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Little Love Notes!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

I received my order from Paper Smooches last week and this past weekend, while hanging out with my SIL Kelly, I cranked these cuties out. I only purchased this one set, Falling For You, and now I am kicking myself for not getting all three of Kim's offerings...sigh.

They all share the same layout, and you are probably as shocked as I that I went with such a CAS look. It's something I find myself leaning to a bit more these days...it's fun to do something different!

On all three I colored the images with Copic Markers and cut out and embossed them with Circle Nestabilities. All three cards have a strip of patterned paper (and look...no layers!), all from Little Boy from Echo Park Papers.

I LOVE how the sentiments are stamped half on the patterned paper and half on the Kraft base. Makes me happy.

I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in each top left corner and rounded the bottom corners with my Corner Chomper.

These were SO fun to make...off to Paper Smooches to pick up those other sets!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Stamps: Falling For You from Paper Smooches
Paper: Kraft (PTI), X Press It Blending Card & Little Boy (Echo Park Papers)

You're Amazing!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

I was SO excited when I saw that Heather P. has created her own color challenge, Totally Hues. I LOVE Heather's work and her color combos, so I knew I wanted to create a card with this, her first challenge!!

I have to tell you...although this card is TOTALLY CAS (a design I struggle with), I LOVE how this came out. LOVE.THIS.CARD.

I started with yesterday's sketch on SCS, SC319, and being I had the colors ready to go, the card came together quickly.

I stamped the FAB sentiment, "You're Amazing" from the Sentimental set from There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the Harvest Gold Panel (this set, and of course, Sentimental Thank You, are MUST haves...and are only $7.00 each!) . The other two panels were embossed...the Hawaiian Shores panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Simply Chartreuse panel with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

I pulled in some Hibiscus Burst but cutting a piece with the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die, and I stamped the sentiment again, this time in Pixie Pink, over the heart. I really like the effect of that. I added a button cut from Hawaiian Shores cardstock with the Die-Namics Button Quartet and tied a bow with some Baker's Twine. A few of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles along one side of the heart complete the design.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Sentimental from There She Goes

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Pixie Pink (SU!)
