Prettie {scrapling} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Two weeks ago, Frances challenged the Prettie Girls to make a "scrapling"!! I had NO clue what she was talking about! LOL!!

According to our pal Frances, a "scrapling" is the strip of cardstock left over when you cut a certain size card! Frances challenged us to make a "scrapling" that was 2.5 wide (not counting any layers on top) by 4.25 tall! Fun!!

I had out my Giving Thanks Sophia from making Jackie's birthday card yesterday, so I used her again! She is stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.

Her dress, and the background of my scrapling, is patterned paper from the Berries & Cherries Key Ingredients from TE, as is the cardstock.

I framed Sophia in Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities and added TONS of piercing. I thought this would make a cute bookmark for Meredith to use!!

You can see what the other Pretties have come up with for this challenge right here!!

Happy Prettie Birthday Jacks!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Welcome to a very Twilight Inspired Prettie Birthday Hop for our FAB Prettie Girl, Jackie Pedro! (aka Jacks!)!! WOO HOO!!!

I was in charge of bringing my boyfriend (giggle!!) to the party! I had to DRAG him away from the Voluturi, but Jacks is worth it of course!! LOL!!!

This Prettie Birthday hop started down under at Frances' blog!! If you came here from her blog, perfect! If not, head on over to her blog to start this hop from the beginning!!!!

So Jessie had the idea to do a Red/White/Black combo for Jackie's birthday hop, and for my card, I used Bella Rose DSP...to bring in a bit of "Bella" and of the "Rose"...nifty eh? LOL!!

I used Giving Thanks Sophia for my card, and she is colored with Copic Markers, and her dress is paper pieced with Bella Rose DSP too!!

I wanted to switch up my layout a bit (I feel like all my cards use the same layout!!), and this is what I came up with!

I had my Word Window Punch out to punch out my sentiment, and I thought, hey...why not use some punches as embellies!!!

I added just a touch of piercing and finished off my card with a double ribbon of Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain and Whisper White Organza Ribbon!!

The next stop on this hop is over at the Stamping Sister's Blog...Jackie R!!

In case you get lost along the way, here is a list of the hoppers today!!

Prettie {use that vellum} Wednesday!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, Prettie Girl Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to use vellum! Fun challenge!!

Now, I have TONS of vellum...like, an entire, unopened pack, plus alot more. Now...can I FIND the vellum? Of course not! All I was able to find was literally a 1 inch square of vellum!!! What's a girl to do with a 1 inch square of vellum you ask? Punch it and create a vellum butterfly!!

On my card, I used a newly released set from Paper Pretties, Everyday Picnic! We have SO many vineyards here on Long Island,. so I will be using this set ALOT!

The picnic basked was stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I framed my image with Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities and added some piercing.

This DELISH paper is called Something New from the Everafter Collection from Cosmo Cricket (I cannot stop using this Cosmo Cricket paper!!), and it matches two of the new in colors, Soft Suede and Dusty Durango perfectly!

The sentiment, For You, is part of a sentiment from the Sweets For The Sweet Set from Paper Pretties. I finished off my card with some piercing and some Whisper White Organza Ribbon, and of course, my vellum butterfly which I layered over a Soft Suede butterfly!!

You can see how the other Pretties have incorporated vellum into their cards right here!!

Prettie {Happy Colorful Birthday Danielle!} Wednesday!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!! Not only is today Prettie Wednesday, it is also our fellow Prettie Girl Danielle's Birthday!! WOOT!!

Today, I am the first stop on this very Prettie Birthday Hop for our friend and stamp designer Prettie Girl Danielle!!!

Two weeks ago, the super sassy Jackie Pedro challenged the Pretties to a color challenge of Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and one other color of our choice (I could TOTALLY be making that part up...but I seem to remember that was the challenge...LOL!!), and I chose my FAVORITE color of all time, Regal Rose!! What a surprising combo this is...I really love it!!

For sweet Danielle's card, I started by stamping the super sweeet and newly released Aloha Sophia in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and I colored her with Copic Markers.

I stamped all the background panels with the fun hawaiian flowers from the Aloha Add On Set in Bermuda Bay and Regal Rose onto Bermuda Bay and Regal Rose cardstock. I really love how it came out!!

I framed Sophia with Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities and of course, added some piercing!! I finished off my card by stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment from Bugs & Fishes and punching it out with my Word Window Punch, and of course, I HAD to add some yummy Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon and Regal Rose Grograin Ribbon!!!

The next stop on this Prettie Birthday Hop is over at my pal Jackie R's blog!!! Here is a list of the Birthday Hop order in case you get lost along the way!!!

Prettie {something shiny} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!!

Two weeks ago, Jackie R. challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card with something shiny on it....

For my card, I used Make A Splash Sophia as well as the newly released add on set for Make A Splash, Summer Fun!!!

All the images are stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. Sophia was cut out and popped up on foam tape just over the pool she is about the jump into!!

The pool has a coat of Glossy Accents on it so it is super glossy in real life, hence, something shiny!!

The paper is a yummy pattern called Twist & Shout from Cosmo Cricket!! Sophia is framed in Rectangle Nestabilities and the sentiment, Bikini Babe, is framed in Small, Large & Scallop Oval Punches.

The three buttons were a gift from my pal Danielle Lounds! Thanks girl!! I used Prism cardstock on this card and went with Desert Coral Dark and Candle Glow Light.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

As some of you may know, Paper Pretties released Make A Splash back on June 1. Well, I am SO excited to tell you that Paper Pretties is releasing an add on set that coordinates with Make A Splash, and my card today features an image and sentiment from this new set!!

I stamped this super summery drink image onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. It is framed in both circle punches and Scallop Circle Nesties, and I used my Crop-A-Dile to make the holes in the White Scallop Circle for some interest.

The patterned paper is two different patterns of Lime Rickey from Basic Grey, Tart & Tiny and Hoboken, and Melon Mambo matches this paper so wonderfully!!

I punched out my sentiment, Stay Cool, with my Word Window Punch and added some piercing for interest.

This fun set is just one that is being released on August 1!

Prettie {Favorite Embellie & A Peek} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Two weeks ago, I challenged the Prettie Girls to create a card using their favorite embellishment, and they had to tell us what it is!!

My favorite embellishment are brads! I LOVE them! Small or large, mettalic or colors...I LOVE each and every one of em!!

For my card, I used Make A Splash Sophia from Paper Pretties, as well as a sneek peak of a new set being released on August 1!! It is an add on set for Make A Splash, and the beach ball and sentiment on my card are from this new set! LOVE them!!!!

Sophia and the beach ball are stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I added some White Gel Pen highlights for interest!

All the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon on this card are from the July Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions. This patterned paper, Early Bird from Cosmo Cricket, is my absolute FAVORITE paper ever!!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! As it is Tuesday, I have another Paper Pretties creation to share with you!!

For my card today, I pulled out Bunny Slippers Sophia and got her inky (it's been awhile since she has seen ink!!), and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored her with Copic Markers.

The layout on this is Danielle's Sketch Challenge, PWC62 from last Thursday! Danielle always comes up with the most awesome sketches!!!

I have been on a "use all my patterned paper" kick these days, so on this card, I used some DELISH paper from Cosmo Cricket (I think Cosmo Cricket may be my favorite paper "designer"), and this one is Saturday from the Girl Friday Collection (LOVE this!!).

I used Prism cardstock on this card, and I went with Rose Medium and Frosted Teal! I really LOVE the Prism cardstock...the colors are so yummy!!

I framed Sophia with Oval and Scallop Oval Nesties and added some piercing. I finished off my card with some White Brads by American Crafts, and stamped just part of the sentiment, Feel Better, and punched it with my Word Window Punch. Fun!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! Tuesday around here means another Paper Pretties creation to share with you!!

Lately I have been trying to show a little love to my non-Sophia Paper Pretties stamps, so today I used one of the first Paper Pretties sets I ever bought, Sweets for the Sweet!!

I stamped this SUPER cute image onto Choice Buttercream cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored the image with Copic Markers. I framed my utensils with Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment, "A Mother's Love Has No Measure", is from Made With Love, also from Paper Pretties.

The patterned paper on this card is Delighted by My Minds Eye, and I used Desert Coral Medium and Suede Brown Dark cardstock, both by Prism.

I added tons of piercing, two borders of my Scallop Edge Punch in Suede Dark Brown, and I finished off my card with some dark brown grosgrain ribbon and Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.

On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. Prettie {random} Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, the SUPER talented (she crochets too!) Danielle Lounds challenged the Prettie Girls to quite an interesting challenge! We were to take a random item from our home and somehow incorporate it into my card! Can you see what I did? Probably not...so I will just tell you!!

To start, I wanted to give some love to some of my non-Sophia Paper Pretties stamps (yep...they do exist! We all just love our Sophias so much we tend to use them the most!), and so for my card, I used Look Who's Perky! As I was going with a coffee theme, I chose to use a coffee filter as my random item!!

I ran the coffee filter through the Cuttlebug with three layered flower dies from Provo Craft. I then sponged the edges of each layer VERY lightly with some Taken With Teal ink and then layered them, one on top of the other. I added a vintage button (from the above mentioned, uber fabulous Danielle Lounds) and used it as one of my three circle focal points!!

For my other two circles, I stamped the coffee mugs in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. All of the circles are 1 1/4 Circles layered on 1 3/8 Circles.

I stamped my sentiment, "How Ya Bean", which is also from Look Who's Perky, onto Choice Buttercream again and created a little tab for it. I added tons of piercing, three ribbon loops of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and called it done!!

The patterned paper is Lil' Man by Cosmo Cricket and I used Prism Cardstock in Intense Teal and Blush Red Dark!

You can see how the other Pretties defined "random" right here!!

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday! As you may know, every Tuesday I share a Paper Pretties creation with you, and today I gave Giving Thanks Sophia a bit of love!!

Giving Thanks Sophia is one of my favorite Sophias! She is just SO versatile! I had alot of fun making this card!

I started by stamping Sophia in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

All the patterned paper on this card is from Delighted by My Minds Eye, and I also used a piece of it to paper piece her dress. I used Prism Cardstock in Blush Red Medium and Frosted Teal. I am REALLY loving my Prism paper lately! It is so easy to match colors in non SU! patterned papers!

I added piercing around each and every panel, and a double ribbon of red satin and Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon. I finished off my card with two Vanilla Brads by American Crafts and framed my "Thank You" sentiment, also from Giving Thanks, in Large & Scallop Oval Punches.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Prettie {moving} Wednesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, Jana challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card that "moves"...and we could take that any way we wanted...hmmm...this was TOUGH for me!!!

I hit the Resources section over at SCS, and I decided to make a Spring Card. It certanly moves...so much so that I was unable to take a picture of it unless I held it up! LOL!!

This was VERY easy to make using the tutorial. I used some DELISH new DSP from SU!, Razzleberry Lemonade, and I thought Hola Chica from Paper Pretties would be perfect with it!

I stamped Hola Chica onto Papertrey White in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic Markers. I framed her with a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, which I layered over So Saffron. I really LOVE these colors together!

I finished off my spring card with tons of piercing and a GORGEOUS crocheted flower that my fellow Prettie Girl and friend Danielle Lounds made and sent to me! Isn't it the bomb? LOVE it!!

You can see how the other Pretties moved their cards right here:

Prettie Tuesday!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

As you know, every Tuesday I share a Paper Pretties creation with you, and today I made a card using the newest Stamp Of The Month from Paper Pretties, Story Time Sophia!!

Isn't she SO super cute? I totally love her! Sophia is stamped onto Choice Snow White and colored with Copic Markers. I framed her in Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities, and pierced all around the ovals.

All the patterned paper on my card is Sweet Always DSP from SU! I made sure to order an extra pack of this paper...of course, not realizing that it is NOT retired (duh Jodi!!).

I LOVE making little tags with my sentiments these days, and that is what I did with this sentiment, "You Hold The Story To My Heart". Happy Birthday Charmaine!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!! Welcome to the first stop on the Happy Birthday Charmaine Blog Hop!!

Our fellow Prettie girl, and all around WONDERFUL person, Charmaine, is celebrating her birthday today and all the Prettie's have gotten together to shower her with some birthday love!!!

For my card for Charmaine, I stamped Trim the Tree Sophia by Paper Pretties onto Choice Snow White Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic Markers.

The balloon is from Beary Special Accessories and the sentiment, Birthday Wishes, is from Beary Special, both from Taylored Expressions.

I used two new In Colors for my card, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry, and the patterned paper is Razzleberry Lemonade DSP!!

I finished off my card with two Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbons and some White Brads by American Crafts!!!

The next stop on this Prettie Birthday Hop is over to Jana's Blog!!!

Make sure to stop by Charmaine's blog and leave her some Birthday Love!!

Charmaine, Happy Birthday my friend! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day and may all your Birthday wishes come true!!!

Prettie {masked} Wednesday!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Two weeks ago, the SUPER talented (and SUPER sweet) Charmaine challenged the Prettie Girls (and you! Feel free to play along with us!!), to make a card using masking!! Fun!!

For my card, I used the brand spankin' new Stamp of The Month from Paper Pretties, Story Time Sophia! Isn't she SO super cute? LOVE her!!

Sophia is stamped onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and I used the cloud from Rainy Day Friends, also by Paper Pretties, and masked it around Sophia! Now it looks like she is reading a book outside on a nice day!!

I used a color combo of So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Choice Snow White, and I used some yummy new Bermuda Bay ribbon (LOVE the new polka dot ribbon from SU!). See that SUPER cute flower on my card? Well, my friend and fellow Prettie Girl, Danielle Lounds, made me some, and when I showed them to my Mom, she said she could make some also! I went and picked up some embroidery thread that matches SU! colors and she went to work!! Now, I have TONS of flowers and I just LOVE them!!! Perhaps I should put some in an upcoming blog candy...hmmmm...:)

You can see what the other Prettie's came up with for this challenge right here!
