Let It Snow!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I created using yesterday's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS82!!

I have been feeling very Christmas-y now that Halloween has past, and it seems that I want to make holiday/winter cards all the time!!!

For my card today, I used this sweet snowman Cuppie from the Home Sweet Home set from Taylored Expressions! Isn't he so cute? LOVE him!!

I stamped Cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I paper pieced his Cuppie "liner" with one of the same patterns that I used on my card, which are both from Everybody Loves Christmas from Echo Park Papers. I cut him out and embossed him with Circle Nestabilities which I then layered onto cardstock cut with Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

The sentiment, "Let It Snow", also from Home Sweet Home, was cut out and embossed using the smallest tag from the Tags Trio by Spellbinders and I tucked it under the bow that I created using The Bow Easy.

I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles both to the sentiment tag as well as to the polka dot panel on the card. I adhered them to glue using the Embellie Gellie...love this stuff!!! The background was embossed using the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and I sewed each layer with my sewing machine. All of the panels are popped up on Foam Tape for dimension.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be adding this cutie to my Etsy Store if anyone is interested!!

Boo!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is a card I created for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG76, which is brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, Piali!

Piali has challenged one and all to create a card using the following recipe:

- Kraft Card Base (check)
- Black, White and a splash of color (I went with orange - check
- Dry Embossing (I used the Spiderwebs EF and the Polka Dots EF - check)

This was SO much fun to make!! I started with Saturday's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS77! I stamped this ADORABLE ghost from the newly released Hauntingly Delightful set from There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities and layered it over orange cardstock cut from Circle Nestabilities and black cardstock cut from the new Lacey Circles Nestabilities. I used the same layers and Nestabilities for the sentiment, "Boo", also from Hauntingly Delightful. I added a bit of paper piercing around the orange layers on both.

I embossed the white panel with Spiderwebs Embossing Folder, and the orange and kraft panels with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. All of the layers were sewn on my sewing machine and I added some baby braddies to the top left and bottom right corners.

The polka dot patterned paper is from Happy Halloween by Echo Park Papers and I created the double bows of orange grosgrain and black gingham with the Bow Easy. I attached a fun Happy Halloween button to the center of my bows (which I sewed upside down - baby brain!) from my stash.

We would LOVE you to play along! Simply create a card using the above recipe and link your creation to today's TSG76 post on the There She Goes Blog! The challenge is open until the winner is announced on the following Monday (10-18-10). The winner will receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!

By participating in this challenge you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday! We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but they are appreciated!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Today, the Trendsetters get to share a GORGEOUS new set with you designed by the amazing Chris Dark, Autumn Mosaic!

This set is totally gorgeous!!! I started my card using this past Saturday's Sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS74. I colored the tree with Copic Markers and then cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities. I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo to make it pop.

All the patterned paper is from Wanted by Cosmo Cricket, and I sponged all of the edges with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and then embossed each panel, a la Kim, with the Textile Embossing Folder. (Did you see Kim's tutorial on how she does this...I am in LOVE!).

I created a little tag for the sentiment, "Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree" and attached it to my card with some twill ribbon that I created a bow using the Bow Easy and a fun wooden button from my stash. I added too more brads in the top corner, sewed all the edges and called it done!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG54, Polka Dots & Chipboard, brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, the AMAZING Lisa!

I started with Saturday's Sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS65, and I stamped the duck from Polka Dot Pals from There She Goes twice in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I colored the duck with Copic Markers and cut it out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities. I framed it with Island Mist Light cut from Scallop Square Nestabilities. I sponged the edges of the focal panel with Memento Canteloupe.

The patterned paper is all from Fly A Kite by October Afternoon, and the two rows of polka dot scallops (which I ADORE!) are also from Polka Dot Pals! I stamped it twice in Memento Canteloupe onto Choice Buttercream, cut them out and then layered them. I also sewed each panel on my sewing machine.

The sentiment, "dream", also from Polka Dot Pals, was stamped directly onto the patterned paper and I added a bow of Twill Tape that created with the Bow Easy and I attached a fun button/chipboard flower combo to it as well.

We would LOVE you to play along with the challenge too! Create a card using Chipboard and Polka Dots and link your creation on this post HERE. One lucky participant will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store!!

It's a two step challenge, your card must incorporate the color green AND some type of plant (flowers, trees, topiaries, leaves, etc.)...SO fun!

Does This Mean You're A Grownup Now?

Hi everyone!!! Happy Saturday!!!

I had some fun stampy time today, so I decided to FINALLY participate in a challenge over at The Cats Pajamas! I have wanted to for ages so I am excited that I finally played along!!!

This week's challenge is a super fab inspiration pic that you can see on this post. I LOVE the colors in this picture, so I pulled out some yummy papers from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon and got to work!

For my card, I used Smells Like Cake, an AWESOME set that I borrowed from my friend Ann (thanks girl!!). I have a HUGE wish list at The Cats Pajamas, and this set is totally on it!!!

I stamped the penguins in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar Cream and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. The star on top of the cupcake has a coat of Martha Stewart glitter (love that stuff!). I LOVE the sentiment, "Does this mean you're a grownup now?", and I cut it out and embossed it, as well as the focal image, with Circle Nestabilities and sponged both with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo.

I finished off my card with two American Crafts black brads and opted to NOT use any ribbon. The layout is today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS57, and I just added the sentiment panel.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

The Perfect Pair!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Today, my husband and I are celebrating our 9 year Wedding Anniversary! Wow...time flies!! I made this card for him using this past Saturday's Sweet Stop Sketch, SSS55!

For my card, I started by stamping the boxers and panties, both from Hangin' Out by Taylored Expressions, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. Using a Copic Multiliner, I drew in the "clothesline". I then stamped this super sweet bird, also from Hangin' Out. I then created a mask for all three images, and using my Copic Airbrush and a template, created the sky. As you can see...I need TONS of practice with my Airbrush!

I then removed the masks and colored all the images with Copic Markers. All the cardstock and patterned paper is from the new Garden Party Project Pantry by Taylored Expressions. I created the "grass" using paper snips, but you can bet I am picking up this punch from Taylor to use with this set!

I embossed the yellow panel with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and I created the border with the SU! Scallop Border Punch. The sentiment, "we make the perfect pair", also from Hangin' Out, was stamped onto the cardstock BEFORE I embossed it, and I added two red Bits of Bling for some fun!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

My Monkey Man!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge at The Sweet Stop, SSS47!! What a fun sketch!!

I made this card for a friend at work who celebrated her birthday yesterday. I originally asked her if she was an Edward fan or a Jacob fan (she LOVES Twilight just like me!!), and she hesitantly said Edward. I then asked if there was someone that she liked MORE than Edward or Jacob (I know...I just felt the universe shift too), and she finally told me that she is an Emmett fan!!

For my card, I used the limited edition digi that was available a few months ago from The Greeting Farm, and I "think" his name is Jeremy (aka Emmett!). I printed him onto Choice Buttercream and colored him with Copic Markers.

The sentiment, "My Monkey Man" (all of you Twilighters get that!) is from Fictionally Inspired from Artful Inkables. It feels SO good to make a Twilight card...It's been AGES since I pulled out my box of Twilight stamps (yes...I have an entire box full!!).

The papers are a mix of patterns from Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye and I used my new Upper Crust punch by Fiskars for the border. I finished this one off with two Vanilla Brads!!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge at The Sweet Stop, SSS46! What a fun sketch!!

For my card, I used the brand new Hunny Bunnies from There She Goes, which I totally LOVE!!

I stamped the bunny, and then the egg which fits PERFECTLY into bunny's hands, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored the image with Copic Markers. I added some Crystal Transparent Glitter to the end with a Quickie Glue Pen.

All the papers are from my newest obsession...yep, you guessed it, Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye! I used the Apron Lace Punch for my border and the sentiment, "Some bunny loves you", which is also from Hunny Bunnies, is on Small, Large & Scallop Oval Punches. I finished this one off with three of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles and some yummy twill ribbon!!

See Beyond

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch over at The Sweet Stop, SSS45!!!

My card today is a card that I made and am sending to Taylor for the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly Card Drive. The cards that are donated will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care nurses at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD where they use the dragonfly as a symbol of hope for families who have lost a child during delivery or in the early stages of life. Families are given a dragonfly card while they are in the hospital as something to hold on to, cherish, and comfort them after the quiet time spent with their son or daughter. In addition to a card, the parents receive a small ring with a poem, a prayer shawl for the mother (to symbolize God wrapping his loving arms around her), along with baby footprints and baby molds.

You can find all of the details for the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly Card Drive right HERE on Taylor's Blog! You can use ANY dragonfly image, it doesn't matter what stamp company it is from! Won't you consider making a card (or two!) for this cause?

I absolutely LOVE today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, and it was perfect for what I had in mind!!

For my card, I used Discover Your Wings from Taylored Expressions. All the patterned paper is from Ducks In A Row by October Afternoon and I layered each pattern with Choice Buttercream and Spring Willow Medium. I stamped the dragonfly in Memento Cottage Ivy onto Choice Buttercream and cut it out. I then added two coats of Aquamarine Shimmerz and the dragonfly is super shimmery in real life.

I chose the sentiment, "See Beyond", which is also from Discover Your Wings, and I finished off my card with some Artichoke PolyTwill Ribbon and Bling from the TE Store that I colored olive with a Copic Marker.

I don't often finish the inside of my cards, but I find this Helen Keller quote so inspiring and appropriate for the reason for this card. It reads "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart". This is also from the gorgeous Discover Your Wings set!

Thinking Of You!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS42!

I had SO much fun making this card! It was also really simple as I used the largest Scallop Circle Nestabilities to create the card base!

I used the new Origins by Basic Grey as my patterned paper choice (LOVE this line!!) and I stamped "Thinking Of You", from Nature of Friendship by There She Goes onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I then stamped the large leaf, also from Nature of Friendship, three times in Memento Cottage Ivy after stamping off once each time. I cut out my panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged around the edges with Memento Desert Sand.

I created a border with my Apron Lace Punch (love this punch!!) and added three black Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the focal panel. I finished off the card with a yummy Origins Bloomers, also from Basic Grey!

Happiness Grows!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS41!!

For my card, I used the gorgeous Garden of Friends set by There She Goes. I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. The smaller flower was stamped twice, colored and popped up on foam tape. I added a bit of Clear Spica Glitter Pen to the center of each flower.

The patterned paper is Urban Garden by SU! and the cardstock is Old Olive & Night of Navy, also both from SU!

I finished off my card with the sentiment, "In a garden of friends...happiness grows" that I punched out with my Word Window Punch, and a double ribbon of Whisper White Organdy and Old Olive Twill. I added two Neutrals Brads and the Night of Navy panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS40!!

For my card today, I used one of my all time favorite Cuppies! This little sweetie is from Trick or Sweet II from Taylored Expressions, and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

The patterned paper is the yummy Girl Friday Collection from Cosmo Cricket, and the buttons are Papertrey Ink.

I sewed around the main layers with my sewing machine, and the sentiment, "Happy Birthday Cupcake" is from For The Love of Cupcakes, also by Taylored Expressions! My bottom panel is Prism Baby Pink Light and I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder! A bit of embossed sheer ribbon finishes this one off!!

The Peace of God

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS39!! Today's sketch is a Sketch With A Twist! The twist is that you can ONLY use a sentiment on your card! This was fun!!

For my card, I used this GORGEOUS scripture from Faith & Hope by Taylored Expressions. It reads: "The peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ". Isn't that just gorgeous???

I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of patterned paper from Bella Rose and cut it out with Labels 9 Nestabilities. I sponged the edges while the paper was still in the die with Memento Angel Pink.

I used a different pattern from Bella Rose for the main panel of my card, and I dressed up the top and bottom edges with some Intense Pink Prism Cardstock. I created a border using my fab new Apron Lace Punch by Fiskars and I added pearls to the top and bottom panels, as well as on the top and bottom of the scripture. I finished off my card with a double ribbon of Whisper White Organdy and Raspberry Twill.

The Perfect Pair!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS38!!! I had a blast with this one!!

For my card, I wanted to use the new Loads of Fun set from There She Goes and make an Anniversary card!!

I started by stamping the boxers and panties in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and cut it out with Rectangle Nestabilities. I sponged the edges while the cardstock was still in the die. I paper pieced both pairs of undies with the same paper I used on the card, which is from Nook & Pantry by Basic Grey!

I kept the embellies super simple on this one. I sewed around the edge with my sewing machine and added a crocheted flower that my mom made for me. A button in the center finishes it off and I stamped the sentiment, "You two are the perfect pair", also from Loads of Fun, directly onto the patterned paper in Memento Rich Cocoa.

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!

Here is my card for today's Sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS37!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I stamped the mouse twice, colored it with Copics and popped it up on some foam tape.

The papers are from The Boyfriend by Cosmo Cricket, and I added some piercing for some interest! I no longer pierce everything in sight...I guess my style is changing a bit :)

Team Emmett!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch over at The Sweet Shop, SSS30!

For my card today, I thought I would give a shout out to everyone's favorite older {vampire} brother, Emmett!!

I am a HUGE Emmett fan, and I love how FUNNY he is throught the series!! My ALL time favorite Emmett quote is from Breaking Dawn when Bella is now way stronger than he is and challenges him to an arm wrestling match. His reply:

"Awesome. Bring it"

My Emmett is the limited edition "Jeremy" digi stamp from The Greeting Farm, and I printed him out onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. As I do with all my vampires, I added a coat of Candle Light Shimmerz to his skin.
The patterned paper is the retired Apple Cider (I think) from SU!, and I used some Vintage Brads to tie into my fall color theme.
The sentiment, "Team Emmett" is from the Ficitionally Inspired set from Artful Inkables. LOVE this set!

Sweet On You and Team Edward!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop, SSS29!!

For my card, I used this uber adorable image from Whipper Snapper Designs, Haagan-Daz Bear! I saw him at my LSS and had to have him!!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, and I colored him with Copic Markers. I added some Glossy Accents to the "fudge" parts of his ice cream.

The delish patterned paper is Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey, and I used some Prism Cardstock to match, Frosted Teal and Rose Medium.

I stamped the sentiment "Sweet On You" from A Year of Sweet Sentiments by Taylored Expressions and punched it out with circle punches.

Once again, I sewed all the layers with my sewing machine (someone help me!!) and finished this off with a double ribbon of Apple Green Satin and Bubblegum Twill, both from Taylored Expressions!

I had to make another card for this sketch to keep up with my promise to do a card each day that is inspired by the Twilight Series!! May I present to you....Team Edward!

The stamps on my card are all from an AWESOME set of Twilight stamps that I found at my local Barnes & Noble! As soon as I saw them I knew that they had to come home to mama!!!

This image of Edward just makes me sigh...I LOVE the scene in Twilight where he picks Bella up for school for the first time! In fact, when they are entering the school together is my favorite scene of the entire movie!! Can't wait to see what my favorite New Moon scene is going to be!! Less than two weeks to go now!!

My Edward was colored with Copics and then I gave him a coat of Candle Light Shimmerz because I like boys that sparkle :)
