Sketches and Candy!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday! This post MAY go a little long (just a warning!!), but there is BLOG CANDY at the end!!! WOO HOO!!!

I have been invited to be a Sweet Shop Sugar Baby! I am SOOOO excited to join this AWESOME sketch team!! Each Saturday there is a new sketch and you can even win!! Check out these FABULOUS stampers I get to play along with!!

Korin Sutherland
Nicole Anderson
Bev Gerard
Holly Brown
Barb Guinan
Ann Clack

Although I don't "officially" start until next Saturday, I did play along with today's sketch, SSS23!! My card is also for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC199, The Pajama Squid! This site is SUPER inspiring, and as soon as I saw this Mushroom Bib, I knew what I wanted to do!

I was quite inspired by all the mushrooms on the inspiration piece, and so I pulled out some yummy new Cosmo Cricket, EarthLove!! All the patterned paper on my card is from this collection! The colors differ from the inspiration piece, but they are still mushrooms!!

For my focal image, I stamped this ADORABLE mushrooms (which I masked to put one in front of the other) from Fairy Good Day by There She Goes. The mushrooms and butterfly were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. I opted to leave off a sentiment as I am not sure what I am going to use this card for as of yet.

Notice there is no piercing on my card! I am OBSESSED (seriously!!) with SEWING on my cards!! I have a few projects in the works that I can't show yet (wink!) and almost ALL of them are sewn! I have to say...I resisted this for SO long, but I am glad I finally gave it a try! I just love the texture it lends to a card!

Tonight is the There She Goes Release Party in the There She Goes Forum right HERE (you just have to register first!) I will be there along with the other Trendsetters chatting and partying it up! I hope you can stop by and say hi!! We would LOVE to have you and ONE lucky participent is going to win the ENTIRE RELEASE! Yikes!

But, I have used some of the sketch challenges in swap cards as I love to layer. I never feel anything I make would be worthy of sharing though. Awesome candy - lots of fun stuff I have never tried. Thanks for sharing your talent.

I really love Sketch challenges because they help me when my mojo is low - it'a amazing how they seem to inspire me and spark my creativity!! And Sketches teach me how to lay out a card too and how to balance the different elements (I'm a bit of a newbie with my cardmaking and I'm on a steep learning curve!!)
