The Meadow

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

Here is my card for today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC43. Each week, my sweet friend and fellow Bakers Dozen DT member Karen has this sketch challenge on her blog and I really LOVE her sketches!!!

For my card today, I used three different sets from Taylored Expressions! I was super inspired by my fellow Baker's Dozen DT member Donna! She has the greatest knack for mixing sets to get awesome results!! I also gave my "Bella" cuppie some eyelashes with my Copic Mutliliner, another trick I picked up from Donna!!

My cuppie scene reminds me of when Edward took Bella to his meadow in Twilight! Here is my interpretation with "Edward Cuppie" and "Bella Cuppie"! LOL!!! Now, we all know that they didn't have a picnic basket with them (or a blanket for that matter!), but in my card version, let's just pretend that the basket is full of mountain lion & Harry Clearwater's Famous Fish Fry! (giggle!!!)

This Cuppie image is from A Year of Sweets 2 and I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored the entire scene with my Copic Markers, and my "Edward Cuppie" has a coat of Candle Light Shimmerz again...he is in the direct sunlight after all!

I used two different sentiments on my card, and I LOVE how they are so appropriate for Twilight, and the scene I was inspired by! I used the "I Love You" sentiment from Fresh Flowers, and then, on the bottom panel of my card, I stamped "in sunshine and in shade", which is part of a sentiment from Branching Out (The entire sentiment actually reads, "We are friends forever in sunshine and in shade" and I just didn't ink up the first part). This is really so true as Bella loves Edward despite the fact that he is a vampire...sigh.

I used all Prism Cardstock on my card, specifically Rose Medium & Frosted Teal, and the patterned paper is my favorite Cosmo Cricket, Early Bird!! The Frosted Teal panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, and I used my Scallop Rectangle Nesties for my main panel and Circle and Scallop Circle Nesties for my "I Love You" panel!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying all my Twilight Series references!!!
