Taylored Expressions Previews: Day One!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Welcome to the first day of previews for the latest (and totally awesome) Taylored Expressions release!!

On the menu today is a FABULOUS new set called What's Cookin'? I had a blast making this, especially since I used some new Taylored Dies too!!!

For my card today, I used last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC304. I thought it would perfect to showcase this apron image from What's Cookin'?

I started by stamping the apron image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and I also stamped it onto two different patterns of patterned paper, both from Crate Paper Restoration (LOVE this paper pad!).

I used the new Apron & Pocket Die, being released on Thursday with all the new stamps (and other dies!) from Taylored Expressions, to cut out the apron and pocket. So fun!

Before adhering all the paper piecing, I sponged the edges with Memento Potter's Clay for some dimension.

All of the layers were sewn on my sewing machine, and I also sponged each layer of patterned paper with Memento Potter's Clay.

I added a ribbon/bow of Kraft Taffeta and created the bow with the Bow Easy. I stamped the measuring cups from What's Cookin'? and then cut them out using the new Kitchen Accessories Die. I attached them under the bow for a whimsical touch. I finished off the front with two brads from my stash.

I wanted to finish off the inside of my card as well since I didn't really have a place for a sentiment on the front of the card.

I used the same papers and I stamped the whisk in Memento Danube Blue (I stamped it off once before stamping it onto the card) and I stamped the sentiment, "With friends like you, who needs Martha Stewart?" in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Make sure to check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have cooked up with What's Cookin'? today!
