When Someone You Love Becomes A Memory...

Hi everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

It's week 38 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fabulous sketch for you this week...meet MFTWSC38

I needed to make a sympathy card.  I am not going to lie...it totally sucks that I needed this card.  I wanted to keep this rather simple, so I pulled out the beautiful Cleary Sentimental About Sympathy set.  It has gorgeous sentiments and the sentiment I chose to use, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" was exactly what I wanted to say.

All of the patterned paper is A Beautiful Life from My Minds Eye, and I cut Fossil Cardstock with the First Class Friend Die-Namics and used the center portion of the large die for the focal panel for my sentiment.  I cut out a heart using the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics out of some of the same patterned paper, and adorned it quite simply with a button cut from Cork using the Button Quartet Die-Namics tied with a bit of twine.  I used a piece of crocheted lace as the horizontal panel and added some zig zag machine stitching.

On the inside, I kept it super simple again with some more patterned paper, and a simple sentiment panel which reads "You Are In My Thoughts".

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC38 for a chance to win this weeks prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, September 27 to play along.  Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.

Thanks SO much for stopping by.  Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers working with this sketch today.

  11. Even more amazing, they reported that they didn't want breakfast the next morning and their appetite during lunchtime was nearly nonexistent. Hoodia plants thrive in high temperatures and, if you own a green house, you can harvest the hoodia seeds in about four years and reap the benefits of your harvest on e-bay! According to apg ii, the asclepiadaceae is a former plant family now treated as a asclepiadoideae in the apocynaceae bruyns 2000. People who have purchased the product and are counting on it to help them in their wieght loss efforts should know that there is an optimal dosage to take.
