MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to Day 1 of MFTeasers!  WOOT!!!

I am SO excited about this month's release...it's SUPER fabulous, as usual, plus, it's the debut of Lisa Johnson's first stamp set with My Favorite Things!!  YAY!!

I have two cards to share with you today, and first up is the AMAZING new Lisa Johnson Designs Circus Spectacular Stamp Set and Circus Spectacular Die-Namics!  I had SO much fun with this set and Die-Namics!!!

I started by cutting two circles using the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics out of Kraft and Whip Cream Cardstock for the base of my circus elements.  I then cut out the circus train car and elephant with the new Circus Spectacular Die-Namics.  The train car was stamped in Red Currant Fresh Ink and the elephant in Slate Fresh Ink.  I super duper love how they came out!  I arranged them on the circles and stamped the sentiment on top.

All of the patterned paper is Yours Truly from Glitz Design.

I created the scallop border out of more patterned paper (I thought the stripes were very circus-tent like), using the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics.  I added a bow using Lemondrop Grosgrain Ribbon and I also added lots of silver brads.

On the inside I added more patterned paper, another sentiment, as well as another circus car and a ticket, cut with the new Ticket Strip Die-Namics (love).

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

My next card features the newest set in the Who's That Girl lineup...Who's That Girl Gets Down To Business!  Isn't she fun???   I started with my sweet friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC164 for the layout and all of the patterned papers are Clippings from Basic Grey.  I stamped WTG and colored her with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her business suit (love) with the same paper I used on the background of my card.  I used Black Licorice Cardstock for the card base.

The tag was created with the Tag You're It Die-Namics and I added an eyelet along with some Black Licorice Grosgrain Ribbon.  The sentiment is just part of one of the sentiments in this set, "Congratulations" and I stamped it onto a panel of Whip Cream Cardstock cut with the Sentiment Strips Die-Namics and tucked it under the focal panel.

I used the new, and gorgeous, Layered Rose Die-Namics to create the flower, and I cut it from patterned paper.  I added leaves that I cut from Jellybean Cardstock using the Royal Leaves Die-Namics.  I added a rhinestone in the center of the flower.

Using a Spica Glitter Pen I gave her tank underneath her suit a bit of shine and texture.  I also added rhinestones for the "buttons" on her suit.

On the inside I added more patterned paper along with another sentiment from this fun new set, "Goodbye College, Hello Life".

Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:
