MFT Creative Challenge - No Patterned Paper!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Tuesday!

It's time for another MFT Design Team Creative Challenge!  The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.  This month we were challenged to create a card or project with no patterned paper!  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today!!

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I was a bit scared when I saw this month's challenge!  If you come by my blog often you'll probably notice that I have a slight (hehe) obsession with patterned paper.  However, this card was SUPER fun and pretty easy to create!

I am in LOVE with the new sets from Lisa Johnson Designs for MFT, and on this card I've used both Primitive Pumpkins and Distressed Diamonds.  Using the Distressed Diamonds, I created the pattern on my horizontal panel of Orange Fizz Cardstock, pretty much creating my own patterned paper!

The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC167.  For the Kraft panels, I added texture by embossing them with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.  I sponged all of the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added some crazy stitching all the way around.

For the focal panel I cut two circles, one from Kraft and the other from Whip Cream, using the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics.  I then cut out the pumpkins from Whip Cream cardstock using the Primitive Pumpkins Die-Namics and then stamped the pumpkins.  I added a border using the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics and the flag from the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics.

I cut a tag using the Notched Tag Die-Namics that I stamped with Primitive Pumpkins, and the ghost was cut using the Halloween Charms Die-Namics.  I tied them to the card using some DELISH new Hemp Cord (LOVE this stuff!).

On the inside I stamped a sentiment and some stars from Primitive Pumpkins and added more stitching.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
