Taylored Expressions Team Studio - September!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

This month's question is:

Within Arm's Reach - What do you keep within arm's reach at your stamp table?  Show us what you have access to without leaving your seat.  What organization methods do you use?  Tell us which ones you love and which ones you'd like to change.

How FUN!  I love to see pictures of other stampers crafty spaces, so I am excited to hop around today!

My stamp room is in the unfinished part of our basement, and here is a view of where I sit.  The counters are from my parent's old kitchen (thanks Mom & Dad), so I sit on a stool (or stand) to stamp.  Right in front of me are my precious Copic Markers.  This are my most used tool for sure.  I stamp on a Scor Pal with the Scor Mat in it, and usually keep a piece of scrap paper or two to stamp on.

I have my daylight lamp nice and handy, and since this is also where I photograph my cards, it's important to have lots of light for both working and for photographing.  You can see my paper trimmer peeking on the right hand side, which is another one of my essentials.  I just finally got an iPhone so it's been everywhere I go.  I had to give it a place on honor in this pic (smile).

Directly to my left is my Vagabond.  When I say that I LOVE my Vagabond, I am not kidding.  I LOVE my Vagabond.  I use it daily and it cuts like a dream.  SO glad I sprung for this!  You'll notice all the black smudges on my counter...I often drop my ink pads and they stain.

To my right I keep two containers full of my Taylored Dies.  I like to have them in easy reach.  I keep them separated by type, for example, I have a drawer for borders, a drawer for flowers, a drawer for Impression Plates, etc.  I wish I had more counter space so that I could keep my dies right next to my Vagabond...perhaps one day when I have a fancy stamp room (grin).

On the cabinet doors right above me I keep some essential info.  I have my list of Fresh Ink colors (and I mark the ones I have), my Moka Color Chart, which I find to be invaluable when coloring, my Copic Chart, and also all of last years SFYTT Sketches, since I often use them again.

Inside this very same cabinet are all my Taylored Expressions stamps, which I keep organized by illustrator.  I love looking at them all lined up in their Binder Boxes (and yes, I am a dork).

I have a few Iris Carts near me when I stamp, and the one right to my left is the one I go into all the time.  Here is a view of what I keep in here...Memento Tuxedo Black, adhesives and Foam Tape, acrylic blocks and my Stampin' Scrub.

  3. I love your space, Jodi! I had to laugh at seeing your nice box of Kleenex though...I keep a roll of toilet paper at my desk. My kids go through my Kleenex at an impressive rate! Thankfully I remembered to move it before I took my pictures!
