MFT May Creative Challenge!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the May MFT Creative Challenge!  The MFT Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.  This month, April Showers Bring May Flowers!  Look forward to an assortment of flower filled creations from today's participating designers.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have a project to share with you today!

I have two cards to share with you today, and my first card is for my God-Daughter who is graduating High School this year (how in the world did that happen so fast?).  I love how this came out and I think she will as well.

I started by cutting two Smooth White circles using the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics.

Using Razzle Berry Ink and Berrylicious Ink, I stamped "Graduate" and then stamped "Way To Go" in Black Licorice Ink.  Both of these stamps are from Gift Card Greetings II!

I used the gorgeous Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-Namics to create the flowers, and cut them all from Razzle Berry Cardstock.  I added a Factory Green panel cut with the Leaf Filled Flourish Die-Namics underneath the flowers.  I also added a border of Steel Grey Cardstock using the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics.

On the inside, I used the numbers from Vanity License Plate and stamped 2013 in Razzle Berry Ink.  All of the patterned papers are Cambridge Court from My Minds Eye.

Here are the MFT goodies I've used on my card:

My next card has a bit of a softer feel to it.  I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch, MOJO294.  I started by cutting Hot Fudge Cardstock using the Designer Labels 2 STAX Die-Namics and I stamped one of the sentiments from the awesome Triple Scoop set, Chalkboard Greetings, in Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder.

Here is a closeup.  I really need to get some new white embossing powder...can anyone recommend a brand?  All of the patterned papers are Hipster from Basic Grey.

I HAD to use my most favorite flower Die-Namics ever...the Pretty Posies Die-Namics.  I cut the flower from Whip Cream Felt and topped it off with a Hot Fudge Button tied with Hemp Cord.  I added a border of Hot Fudge using the new Dotted Scallop Border Trio Die-Namics.

On the inside, I added more patterned paper and stamped a sentiment from Life's Direction, in Hot Fudge Ink!

Here are the MFT goodies I've used on my card:
