MFT November Creative Challenge!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the November MFT Creative Challenge, and this month, the MFT Design Team is creating projects that warm the heart!  What a fun challenge!

It's been quite some time since I've used a WTG set, so I pulled out the darling Who's That Girl Gets Cozy With Cocoa and got to work!  I created both a card and a treat bag for cocoa!

I followed Jen's Deconstructed Sketch, DS128, for the layout.  I stamped WTG onto X Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored the image with Copic Markers.  I cut out the panel with Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics, and then layered it with a Chocolate Brown panel cut with the Pierced Circle STAX Die-Namics.

Using the new Striped Backgrounds set (love), I stamped the Kraft panel using Kraft Ink with the larger striped background. I used both the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics and Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-Namics, to cut the Bubblegum flag and the Smooth White flag.  I stamped "Cold Hands, Warm Hearts" in Chocolate Brown Ink onto the Smooth White flag panel, and anchored it to the card using a Red Hot Button tied with Hemp Cord.

I pulled out the fantastic Western Backgrounds stamp set and stamped the Red Hot panel using Red Hot Ink.  I super love the look of that!

On the inside, I added another Red Hot panel stamped with Western Backgrounds, and stamped another sentiment from Who's That Girl Gets Cozy With Cocoa using Chocolate Brown Ink.

Here are the MFT products I've used on my card:

I created a little treat bag to go along with my card!  Of course, it's the perfect size to hold a packet or two of hot cocoa!  I used the Paper Bag Treat Bag Die-Namics and cut two panels from Kraft Cardstock.  I used the smaller striped background from the new Striped Backgrounds, and stamped the front with Kraft Ink.

I stamped the mug of cocoa from Who's That Girl Gets Cozy With Cocoa onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers.  I cut out the panel with Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and then added a Chocolate Brown panel behind it cut with the Pierced Circle STAX Die-Namics.

I cut a Bubblegum panel with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-Namics, and stamped, "Sending Cocoa Cuddles" in Chocolate Brown Ink.  I added another Red Hot Button tied with Hemp Cord.

Here are the MFT products I've used on my bag:

  7. I come to your blog every day to see what you have created. You are an artist when it comes to making cards. I love your style of card making!! Today's cards are perfect for the nasty weather we are receiving here -- school buses were cancelled this morning. A cup of hot chocolate would be perfect!!
