Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Welcome to the MFT June Creative Challenge! This month, the team is getting inky…Hybrid style!
I have two cards to share with you today! My first card uses our awesome new Hybrid Ink with a stencil!
I’ve just used one color of Hybrid Ink on my card…Razzle Berry Hybrid Ink! One of the things I love so much about our new Hybrid Inks is that you can build the color up! I started with a a panel of Smooth White Card Stock and cut it with the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then placed the Petal Circles Stencil on top and taped it down. I started sponging on the Razzle Berry Hybrid Ink, adding more and more layers of color towards the bottom. When I was done, I took the stencil off and was left with an ombre look! LOVE!
Using Black Licorice Card Stock, I cut out “hello” using the Happy Hellos Die-namics. I added it to my stenciled panel and then added some pops of color with a trio of enamel dots.
I used Smooth White Card Stock for all of my layers, and there are lots of them! The main stitched panel was cut with the Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and I used Blueprints 2 Die-namics for the mat.
On the inside, I added two more panels cut with the Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 2 Die-namics and I added more stenciling. I then stamped “bless you for all that you do” using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink from Cheerful Blessings!
My second card uses the new Hybrid ink in the way I use it most…yep, you guessed it…to stamp my images that I color with Copic Markers! YAY! I LOVE how crisp it stamps and it NEVER bleeds! LOVE LOVE LOVE! It’s the only ink I use now for when I am coloring with my Copics! My card uses the current Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, MOJO351!
I’ve used the adorable Pure Innocence It’s A Sign for my card, and I stamped her with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto a X-Press It Blending Card panel and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out the panel using the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics.
I cut the main Natural Card Stock panel and Pink Lemonade Card Stock panel using Blueprints 14 Die-namics, and I stamped the Pink Lemonade Card Stock panel using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink with the new Gingham Background. The Grapesicle Card Stock panel was cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. I added two Banana Split Card Stock panels cut with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics, and a sweet little flower, also cut from Pink Lemonade Card Stock and stamped with the Gingham Background. I added a Sweet Tooth Button tied with Hemp Cord.
On the inside, I added more panels cut with Blueprints 14 Die-namics and matted with Blueprints 3 Die-namics. I stamped the Pink Lemonade Card Stock panel again with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and the Gingham Background. I stamped a sentiment, “I’m thankful for you” in Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to the MFT Blog for a listing of all the designers participating in today’s Creative Challenge!

OOooo, its amazing! Love the color & shape.
ReplyDeleteAmazing, as always! LOVE the ombre look of your first card! And, of course, your coloring is fantastic! Super cute, both!
ReplyDeleteThese are both fantastic, Jodi-girl! Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful fade throught the stencil. I really thought you used several different colors. Love your copic coloring too! I hope that you will add email subscribing option to your blog soon, but FeedBurner has quit working for everyone using it, I believe that is who Blogger/Google blogs use. Ask Kim @ MFT who she uses, I'm still getting her MFT posts.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards Jodi. Love the shading on the first one. Very elegant... and the candy dots look great. Fabulous coloring on the sweet image! Thanks for linking your car up at The Color Throwdown.
ReplyDeleteJody, these are both great! I love the first background! And the second, well you know how I love my PI's.
