First Day Of School {CTD304}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

I am SO excited to be a Guest Designer this month for The Color Throwdown!  Today is my first week, and we are up to CTD304!  All of the Color Throwdown girls have gotten together behind the scenes to surprise Lori Tecler and wish her good luck as she returns to the classroom to teach Kindergarten this year!

CTD304 First Day

For my card for Lori, I’ve used the darling á la modes An Apple For Teacher, and I stamped her onto X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I colored her with Copic Markers and then fussy cut her out.  Cutting her out REALLY made me appreciate the new Pure Innocence Die-namics!  SO.MUCH.EASIER.

I popped her up with Jody Boosters onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the 3X4 Notebook Paper Die-namics, which I stamped with LLD Head Of The Class using Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.  The main Grout Gray Card Stock panel was cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and stamped with the Linen Background using Grout Gray Premium Dye Ink.  I added a panel of Red Hot Card Stock cut with the Vertical Stitched Strips Die-namics to the left side.  The sentiment, “First Day Of School” from LLD Head Of The Class was stamped onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink .  I anchored it to the card with a star cut from Blueprints 16 Die-namics cut from Blu Raspberry Card Stock.  I added a bow of Hemp Cord behind the star.

On the inside, I again used Blueprints 13 Die-namics to cut the Grout Gray Card Stock panel, and I stamped “School Days” from LLD School Days using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  The Smooth White Card Stock mat was cut with Blueprints 2 Die-namics. I added another Red Hot Card Stock panel, and stamped it with Red Hot Premium Dye Ink using the Linen Background
