Praying God Sends Sunshine! {CTD330}

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Joan has challenged us to use the combination of light green, green, orange and white!

Print

I was SUPER inspired by this week’s inspiration picture (you can see that below), and so I decided to stencil my background to try and emulate the look of the tiles.  I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics and then placed the Herringbone Bricks Stencil on top.  I used several inks to achieve this look.  I used In The Buff Premium Dye Ink, Peach Bellini Premium Dye Ink and Coral Crush Premium Dye Ink for the orange areas, Spearmint Premium Dye Ink, Limeade Premium Dye Ink and Limelight Premium Dye Ink for the light green areas, and finally, Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink and Jellybean Green Premium Dye Ink for the darker green areas.  I have to say, I super love how it came out!  I removed the stencil and carefully went over every inked area with a Clear Wink of Stella Marker to give it some shine.

Print

I cut a panel of Natural Card Stock using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, and stamped the sentiment, “I’m praying God sends sunshine your way soon” from LJD Cheerful Blessings using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  I used the Upsy Daisy Die-namics to create the flowers and leaves.  The flowers were cut from Smooth White Card Stock and the leaves from Gumdrop Green Card Stock.  I added rhinestones to both the center of the flowers and alongside the sentiment panel.  I added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock to the main panel using Blueprints 2 Die-namics for a clean, finished look.

Print

On the inside, I cut a panel of Peach Bellini Prestige Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and I stamped “Cheer Up, He is with you”, also from LJD Cheerful Blessings, using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  I stamped a trio of hearts from LJD Cheerful Blessings using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I added a mat of Smooth WHite Card Stock cut with Blueprints 2 DIe-namics.
