MFT October Release Countdown: Day Four!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!

It’s day four of the MFT October Release Countdown!  All of the amazing new products will be available on Tuesday, October 5th at 10PM right HERE in the MFT Boutique!

Today I have a card to share with you that was created with quite a few new products!  I’ve used Fireplace Die-namics, Winter Wonderland, Winter Wonderland Die-namics and the Candy Stripes Background Builder!  I am not even exaggerating when I tell you that this is my favorite card that I have created in a really long time!  I just LOVE it!

For my little scene, I started with the background, and I stamped a panel of Sweet Tooth Card Stock with the Candy Stripes Background Builder.  This product is SO amazing and inventive.  It is a large background stamp and a smaller clear set.  The large background stamp stamps the solid lines, which I’ve used Cherry Crisp Premium Dye Ink for here, and the smaller clear set stamps the small trio of lines, which I also stamped with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink.  I used my MISTI to line these up perfectly, and I know I’ll be reaching for these time and time again.  LOVE my some stripes!

I stamped a panel of Natural Card Stock using Kraft Premium Dye Ink and the Western Backgrounds set.  The wood panel was perfect for the floor of my scene.  I trimmed down panels of Sweet Tooth Card Stock for the molding separating the “wallpaper” and “wood floor”.  Once I had the background set, which were all cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics, I added a mat of Sweet Tooth Card Stock cut with Blueprints 2 Die-namics for a perfect mat.

The fireplace was SO fun to create using the Fireplace Die-namics.  The main fireplace was cut from Chocolate Brown Card Stock and I lightly stamped all of the panels with Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink.  I used Brick Red Card Stock for the fireplace opening, and I sponged it with Brick Red Premium Dye Ink for a weathered, burnt look.  The log holder was cut from Black Licorice Card Stock, and the log from Chocolate Brown Card Stock, which I sponged with Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink.  I cut the flames from Daffodil Prestige Card Stock and Orange Fizz Card Stock, and sponged them both with Daffodil Premium Dye Ink and Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink respectively.  I coated them both with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker for lots of shimmer and shine.

The stockings were cut from Cherry Crisp Prestige Card Stock using the Fireplace Die-namics, and I sponged them all with Cherry Crisp Premium Dye Ink for definition.  The cuffs were cut from Sweet Tooth Card Stock using the Fireplace Die-namics.

I thought it would be fun to put a wintery scene on top of the fireplace mantle.  When I decorate my home for Christmas, putting up my Christmas Village is one of the things I enjoy the most, and I thought it was perfect to top off the fireplace.  I cut all of the images from X-Press It Blending Card using the Winter Wonderland Die-namics, and stamped them using Winter Wonderland with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I colored them all with Copic Markers, and I added some “snow” to the gingerbread house and the snowman using Clear Chunky Glitter.  I then arranged them on the mantle and attached them with Jody Boosters.
