Another Birthday? Piece of Cake! {CTD394}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Amy has challenged us to use pink, blue and red (I went with hot pink…shhhh!)!

Print

For my card today, I’ve used the darling Piece of Cake set, and I stamped the cake onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using Cotton Candy Premium Dye Ink and Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.  The candles were stamped using Blue Yonder Premium Dye Ink and the flames in Daffodil Premium Dye Ink.  I cut out the panel using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.

The background was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Jumbo Dot Cover Up Die-namics, and I cut it again from Blue Yonder Prestige Card Stock, Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock and Cotton Candy Card Stock.  I then inset the colored circles into the “frame” I cut.  LOVE.  I added a strip of patterned paper from the Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack (one of my favorites).  I popped up the circle panel and then added the sentiment panel, cut from Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 2 Die-namics and stamped using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
