Hey, Birthday Girl! {WSC374}
Thanks, You Have a Heart of Gold {CTD482}
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Barbara has challenged us to use pink, gray and kraft! SO gorgeous!
I had SO much fun creating this card! I began with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I sponged on Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink, Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink (this is one of my favorite of the new colors)! I then used the Framework Stencil and spread on Texture Paste with a Palette Knife. I carefully removed the stencil and let the Texture Paste dry overnight. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it came out!
I really wanted the background to take center stage on my card, so I kept the rest of the elements soft. I cut a panel of Translucent Vellum using the Circle STAX 2 Die-namics, trimmed off one side, and then added it to the card. I cut “Thanks” four times from Smooth White Card Stock using the Twice The Thanks Die-namics, and then layered them together and added them on top of the vellum circle. I then cut a panel of Cement Gray Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and stamped “YOU HAVE A HEART OF GOLD” from Kind Thanks using Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the sentiment using White Detail Embossing Powder, and then finished off the card with a trio of white enamel dots.

I Simply Adore You! {CC88}
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
It’s time for a new MFT Color Challenge! This week, we have a GORGEOUS combination of Tickled Pink, Wild Cherry, Summer Splash and Black Licorice! YUM!!
I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 1 Die-namics, and I then cut it again using the Full of Heart Die-namics, which I ADORE. I then used the Full of Heart Die-namics to cut Wild Cherry Card Stock, Tickled Pink Prestige Card Stock, Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock and Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock. I then inset the hearts into the Smooth White Card Stock frame, creating a pattern.
I cut a heart from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the Stitched Heart STAX Die-namics, and then cut a sentiment panel from Smooth White Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I stamped “I SIMPLY ADORE YOU” from From The Heart using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I finished off the card with a trio of rhinestones.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head over to the MFT Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the team has created with these colors, and to play along! There is a $50 Gift Certificate up for grabs!
Happy Clucking Birthday!
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
I am so excited to share a card with you today using some AWESOME new products from Technique Tuesday!! I have used three different new stamp sets and matching dies to create my card! I’ve used Chicken Family, Chicken Family Dies, Cheeky Chicken, Cheeky Chicken Dies, Funny Farm and Funny Farm Dies! So fun!
This card was SO much fun to create! I started by cutting panels of aqua and green card stock for the background for the “sky” and the “grass”. I cut the barn and fence from X-Press It Blending Card using the Funny Farm Dies and stamped them using Funny Farm. The running chicken (which I think is SO cute) was cut using the Cheeky Chicken Dies and stamped with Cheeky Chicken, and finally the other chicken and her baby chick were cut using the Chicken Family Dies and then stamped with Chicken Family.
I colored all of the images with Copic Markers, and then began assembling the scene. I trimmed a bit of the fence so that I could use part of the fence on either side of the barn. I popped the barn, chickens and chick up with Foam Tape for some dimension. The sentiment, “HAPPY CLUCKING BIRTHDAY” (hahahahaha) was stamped onto a panel of white card stock, trimmed down and then attached to the card with more Foam Tape.
The sweet folks at Technique Tuesday have graciously offered one of my followers a stamp set and matching die from their AMAZING Animal House category!!!!! How AWESOME is that?? Here’s what to do!

When It’s Dark, Look For The Stars! {WSC373}
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It’s time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge, and this week, we are up to WSC373! I LOVE this sketch!
For my card, I began with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I sponged on Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I then coated the entire panel using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and spritzed the panel with water. Once it was dry, I placed the Star Celebration Stencil on top and then added a coat of multi-medium. I carefully removed the stencil and then let the panel dry overnight. When the panel was dry, I spritzed the panel with shimmer spray. LOVE.
I cut a panel of Translucent Vellum using the Stitched Star STAX Die-namics. I then cut “Stars” from Smooth White Card Stock four times using the Shining Stars Die-namics. I added the die-cut on top of the vellum star, and then cut a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I stamped “WHEN IT’S DARK, LOOK FOR THE” from Written In The Stars using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment with White Detail Embossing Powder. I finished off the card with a trio of enamel dots.

You Get Better With Age! {CTD481}
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Amy Rysavy has challenged us to use light purple, dark purple, off white and brown! I wasn’t so sure about these colors, but I really LOVE them together!
I began by cutting a panel of Whip Cream Card Stock using the Split Chevron Cover Up Die-namics, and I added a mat of Whip Cream Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 1 Die-namics. I then used the Split Chevron Cover Up Die-namics again to cut Eggplant Prestige Card Stock, Wild Wisteria Prestige Card Stock and Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock, and then inset them into the Whip Cream Card Stock frame.
I used the You Trio to cut a panel of Silver Sparkle Card Stock, and also three panels of Whip Cream Card Stock, and then layered them together, with the Silver Sparkle Card Stock “you” on top. I added it to the card, and then cut a panel of Wild Wisteria Prestige Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and stamped “GET BETTER WITH AGE” from All About You using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder. I finished off the card with a trio of rhinestones.

Stitched With Love–St. Patrick’s Day!
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!
Today, the MFT Design Team is sharing some St. Patrick’s Day inspiration using our FABULOUS Cross Stitch Tag Die-namics! I have to admit, after creating this trio of tags, I am completely and utterly OBSESSED with stitching! SO.MUCH.FUN!
Here are the three tags I have created! I used the Cross-Stitch St. Patrick’s Patterns, and you can find the PDF right on the MFT Blog today!
For each tag, I began with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Cross Stitch Tag Die-namics, and I then used embroidery thread to stitch each pattern.
The tops of the tags were all cut using Field Day Prestige Card Stock, one of my favorite green shades, and Pineapple Prestige Card Stock.
I used black and white Baker’s Twine on each tag, and I opted to NOT add any sentiments, just letting the stitched designs take center stage!

February MFT Birthday Project!
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
It’s time for the February MFT Birthday Project, and this month, we are focusing on balloons! SO fun!!
I had an absolute BLAST creating this card! I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I added a mat of patterned paper from the Black & White Stripes Paper Pack cut using he A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics.
I used the Big Balloons Stencil, and sponged on Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink. I LOVE that due to the nature of Distress Oxide Inks, you can see the colors through one another, just like a balloon! Swoon! I stamped “make a wish” from Handwritten Happiness using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I added “tails” to some of the balloons cut from Grout Gray Prestige Card Stock using the Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head over to the MFT Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the team has created this month! Come play along, there is a $50 MFT Gift Certificate up for grabs!
MFT & Chibilights!
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
Today and tomorrow, the MFT Design Team is sharing projects with you using some FABULOUS Chibitronics projects! These are SO fun to work with, and when your card lights up…SWOON!
For my card, I worked with the Chibi Lights Starter Kit and the Tropical LED Chibi Circuit Stickers Mega Pack! SO Fun! I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I cut it again using the Stars In The Sky Vertical Die-namics. I sponged the panel using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink, Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink. I spritzed the panel with water and watched the magic happen. I cut a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics and then again with the Snow Drifts Die-namics.
I cut the house and ice rink from X-Press It Blending Card using the You Make My Heart Spin Die-namics, and then stamped them using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink using You Make My Heart Spin. I cut the window out so that a Chibi Light could light up the house, and then added a window frame cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Home Sweet Home Die-namics. The trees, heart and kitty from X-Press It Blending Card using the You Make My Heart Melt Die-namics, and then stamped them with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink using You Make My Heart Melt. I colored all of the images with Copic Markers, and added “snow” to the house using Fresh Snowfall Nuvo Glitter.
I arranged all of the elements onto the card, and used a separate piece of Smooth White Card Stock, cut with the A2 Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I used this panel to plan out the circuitry, and I used the super fun Tropical LED Chibi Circuit Stickers Mega Pack for the lights. I used the orange for the light in the house, and pink for the sky to show through the stars! So pretty!!! I used Foam Tape to attach this panel to my scene, and attached it so well, that when I press the cat, the lights stay on for a few seconds, which was super handy for photography purposes! Aren’t the lights SO pretty? I LOVE!
