Flower Silhouettes Card Kit: Day One!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

It's time to reveal the FABULOUS new card kit from MFT...the Flower Silhouettes Card Kit! It is SO beautiful! The new Flower Silhouettes set is SO pretty, and the coordinating Flower Silhouettes Die-namics make creating these flowers a breeze! I am also completely crushing on the new Simply Thanks Die-namics, which is the new Free With $60! LOVE!

This card was SO fun to create! I began with the flowers, and cut them from the included Smooth White Card Stock using the Flower Silhouettes Die-namics. I stamped them using Flower Silhouettes using Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink, Lavender Fields Premium Dye Ink, Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink, Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink and Pineapple Premium Dye Ink. I LOVE them!!

I cut a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using the A2 Stitched Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics, and I sponged on Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink using a blending brush. I added a strip of patterned paper from the Black & White Stripes Paper Pack, also cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I aranged the flowers and added then to the card. I cut "thanks", cut from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock, six times, layered each layer together, and then added them to the card. I stamped "(A LOT)", which is part of a sentiment from More Essential Sentiments, using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.

April Birthday Project Challenge!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

It's time for the April Birthday Project Challenge! This month, we are creating projects that feature drinks! It can be coffee, wine, margaritas, you name it!

Of course, I HAD to make a card with an alcoholic beverage! I LOVE this sweet penguin from Penguins In Paradise, and I sure could go for one of what he is having right now!! I cut him from No-Line Coloring Card Stock using the Penguins in Paradise Die-namics and stamped him with Penguins in Paradise using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. The pineapple and flower were also cut from No-Line Coloring Card Stock using the Polynesian Paradise Die-namics, and I stamped them using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink with Polynesian Paradise. I colored all three images with Copic Markers, and added shimmer to his cocktail using a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker.

The main panel of Smooth White Card Stock was cut using the A2 Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and I sponged the sky using Distress Oxide Inks. I used the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics to cut the sand from Kraft Card Stock, the ocean from Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock, the clouds from Smooth White Card Stock, and the palm tree from Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock and Jellybean Green Card Stock. I added some shimmer to the trio of coconuts in the tree. I arranged all of the images, popping them up with foam tape. The sentiment panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and I stamped "Sip Sip Hooray!" fro Spirited Sentiments using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.

Love You Sow Much! {WSC433}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge, and I LOVE the sketch we have for you this week!!

I had SOW much fun making this card! I began with the background, and cut two panels of Smooth White Card Stock using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. On one panel, I cut an oval opening using the Oval STAX 2 Die-namics, and then placed that die-cut panel on top of the other panel. Using Distress Oxide Inks, I sponged inside the die-cut oval. I then placed the Mini Staggered Rain Drops Stencil on top, and using Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste, added the sparkly raindrops. I CAREFULLY removed the top die-cut mask layer to reveal my sponged and sparkly oval!

I layered the sponged panel on top of a panel of patterned paper cut from the Party Patterns Paper Pack. I cut this sweet little piggy from No-Line Coloring Card Stock using the Piggy Pebbles Die-namics, and then stamped her using Piggy Pebbles using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored her with Copic Markers and then popped her up with foam tape on top of the sponged oval. I added two sentiment panels, as per the sketch. The top was stamped with "Love You Sow Much", and the bottom was stamped with "Hogs & Kisses", and I added them to the card using foam tape. SOW fun!

Hello, Beautiful! {CTD539}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, Vickie has challenged us to use the combination of yellow, orange and blue! SO pretty!

I was so inspired by the inspiration picture, and I pulled out my alcohol inks! I cut a panel of Yupo Paper using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and then, using yellow, orange and blue Alcohol Inks, created the background. I did wind up with some green where the blue and yellow mixed together.

While the background was drying, I cut Smooth White Card Stock four times using the Bold Beautiful Die-namics. I then adhered them all together, and once the background was dry, added the layered die-cut to the backrgound. The sentiment strip was cut from Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and I stamped "Hello, Beautiful" from Essential Sentiments, using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. LOVE.
