Prettie Peeks...Day 3!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!! I have another Prettie Peek for you today!!! Check out Canadian Sophia!! How FABULOUS is she!!!!! I totally LOVE her!!!

Canadian Sophia is being released tomorrow, May 1, at the Stampin In Your Jammies party!! She is being released along with Lady Liberty Sophia that I showed you yesterday, along with a BRAND new line of stamps from a BRAND new artist!! That's all I can say right now, but tomorrow morning you will be able to see what I am talking about!!! LOL!!!

This card is actually based on last week's Ways To Use it Challenge, WT215, which was to use White cardstock! I LOVE to use White Cardstock, even though I hardly ever do! I thought it would be PERFECT to really showcase Canadian Sophia!!!

Canadian Sophia was colored with Copic Markers, and I pierced all around her panel. I kept the card very simple and very white, so I ran the back panel through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. My sentiment was cut out with the Ribbon Tags Trio from Spellbinders, and I finished it off with some Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, and added two circles of Riding Hood Red which I topped off with Whisper White brads!!!

This card is on it's way to our Prettie Mama Christie...as she is a Canadian girl!!!

There She Goes...Happy Day!!!

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN A BIT FOR MY PRETTIE WEDNESDAY POST!! THANKS!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!! Welcome to day three of the There She Goes Sneak Peek blog hop!!! Today we are featuring my absolute FAVORITE set of the entire release, Happy Day!!!

If you came here from my pal Joanne's blog, that is awesome! If not, please head on over to Jessica's blog to start the hop from the beginning!!!

OK...so I LOVE this set...like, LOVE this set!!! I have been wanting a set like this FOREVER so I was elated when I saw this fabulous set!!!

I kept my layout super simple, as I really wanted to showcase this beautiful tree!! I stamped the tree in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers (this tree is UBER fun to color!!). I then stamped one of the birds from this set, colored him with Copic Markers, cut him out and popped him up on the tree. I then stamped a row of notes that my little birdie is singing!!

The sentiment, "You Make My Heart Sing", just makes me smile!! I stamped it and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and then layered it with Chocolate Chip cardstock punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. I added two ribbon tabs of Valet Ribbon Originals onto my sentiment panel.

I added TONS of piercing and called it done!! I am super happy with this card, and I know this set is going to get TONS of use!!!

Make sure you head on over to the super fabu Julie's blog for the next stop on the hop!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Prettie Wednesday!!!

Woo Hoo!! Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday! Prettie Peeks have begun!!!

Two weeks ago, Danielle challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card that was NOT a
standard A2 size...now that is my kind of challenge!! (Thanks Danielle!!!). My card is a 5X5 square...easy peasy!!!

OK...check out this Prettie Peek!! Can you even STAND the fabulousness of Lady Liberty??? She is being released on May 1 at the Stampin In Your Jammies Party, and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!!

I colored Sophia with Copic Markers, and I cut her out with my brand new Curved Rectangles from Spellbinders!!!

The DSP on my card is from Rockabilly, and I created a four square layout in order to really showcase Lady Liberty!!!

I added two Night Of Navy brads in each corner, and in the last corner I punched out my sentiment with my 1 1/4, 1 3/8 and 1 1/2 Circle Punches and added two loops of White Grosgrain Ribbon.

I LOVE this new Sophia...and she isn't even the only Sophia being released at the party!! OMG! I cannot wait for you all to see!!!

Prettie Tuesday!!

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY THERE SHE GOES PEEK FOR TODAY!!!**

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!! As you may know, every Tuesday I share a Prettie creation with you, and today I am showing you a card I made with Make A Splash Sophia, the newest Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties!!!

Now, I KNOW that I say this all of the time, but I LOVE this Sophia!! Each and every one makes me smile, and this one is no exception!!!

My layout is from Danielle's Prettie Weekly Challenge from last week, PWC48!! I LOVE this sketch that Danielle has created...and I plan on using it over and over!!!

Make A Splash Sophia was colored with Copic Markers, and I cut her out with Circle Nestabilities. I based all of the colors that I used on the DSP I used, Sweet Slumber (at least I think that is what it's called...I do not have my SU! catty near me right now!! LOL!!).

I added four Ruby Red Brads around the edges of my square, and I finished off my card with two Baja Breeze Corduroy Buttons (LOVE those!!!).

I do have some uber important Prettie news for you right here:

ABC...it's easy as 123...

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!! Welcome to Day #2 of the There She Goes sneak peeks!!! If you came here by way of the wonderful Joanne, perfect! If not, please start the blog hop at Jessica's blog so you don't miss any of the fabulousness!!!

The set the Trendsetters are peaking today is called A-Z and 123, and it is a set of 70 stamps...yes, 70 stamps!!! Totally AWESOME!!!!

My stamp collection was lacking a fabulous alphabet set, so I am thrilled about this new set!!! I knew I wanted to make a set of cards with my daughter's monogram, and so I made a set of 3X3 Note Cards (just one is pictured here) as well as a box to store them in (I used this tutorial on SCS and it was SUPER easy!!!).

I wanted a crisp clean look, so I went with a combination of White and Purely Pomegranate!! I am super happy with how this came out, and it was VERY easy to do!! There She Goes is also releasing grid line acrylic blocks!!! Wow! What a difference they make! I whipped this up in no time at all!!!

For my 3X3 cards, I started by first stamping the monogram minus the C in the middle. After I stamped the m, the circle and the j, I went back and stamped the C in Purely Pomgranate. I LOVE the look of this!!! I then ran the card through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and added a bow of Purely Pomgranate Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. I added a bottom row of Purely Pomegranate that I punched with my Scallop Edge Punch.

The box that houses my cards is quite deep, so I was able to make 10 cards to put in the box! Super cute, super easy and I think this would make a sweet gift!!!

Make sure to head on over to the uber-fabu Julie Lacey for the next stop on the hop!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Love me some bling!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! I was in a stampin sort of mood tonight, although I am fading fast (lol!!), and I made this card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC65!!!

Lately, I have really been liking the look of white space, so I embraced the white space for my background on this card. I did run it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for some texture.

Ever since I got the Branching Out set by Taylored Expressions, I have wanted to color in the tree...up til now I had just paper pieced it! The tree top and the bird were both stamped on Choice Snow White in Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored with Copic Markers.

All of the cardstock, patterned paper (I used a piece for the trunk of the tree, which is also one of the sketch panels...and yes, I am feeling VERY saucy about that!!!) and embellishments on this card are from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients!!! Did you know that Taylored Expressions now has a Key Ingredients Subscription? You can sign up for either a three (3) month subscription OR a six (6) month subscription!! If you are like me, and love everything to match, then the Key Ingredients are MADE for you!!! I love EVERYTHING about them, and you get SO much of all the papers and embellishments...you can make TONS of cards!!!

For my horizontal panel, I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients and using my paper snips, created the "grass". I stamped the sentiment directly onto my Choice Snow White background and finished off my card with some KaiserCraft Rhinestones (also part of the Mother's Day Key Ingredients...SCORE!!) on both the tree swirls and the two sides of my card.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!! Sneak Peeks for the new Taylored Expressions release start on Sunday, May 3! I am SO excited!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Branching Out by Taylored Expressions
Paper: Choice Snow White and cardstock and patterned paper from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients

Accessories: Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Copic Markers, Ribbon and Rhinestones from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients and Dimensionals

There She Goes Peeks Begin!!!

Woo Hoo!! Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! Welcome to Day One of the There She Goes peeks!!! If you came here by way of the awesome Joanne's blog, perfect! If not, you can start the hop at the beginning over at Jessica's blog!!

I am SO excited about this release (well, OK...I am SO excited about all of them!!!) and I cannot WAIT for you all to see the new sets coming your way!!!

Here is a peek of a FABULOUS new set called She's A Lady!! How SASSY is she??? LOVE her!!!

I stamped my lady in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and colored her with Copic Markers. I added a fashionable purse to her hand and of course, she had to have tons of shopping bags also!!! I added piercing all around my lady panel.

The DSP is Georgia Peach, which I am now nearing the end of (Oh no!! Why oh why did I not buy more of that!!!), and I could think of no other stamp more deserving of my favorite DSP than She's A Lady!! I used two different patterns and my middle panel has some more piercing and Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon!!

I stamped my sentiment and then punched it out with my Small Oval Punch, and then layered that with my Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch. I added a touch more piercing to that too!!!

I finished off my card by adding some Diamond Stickles to her skirt, purse and part of her hat...what can I say...she likes bling!! LOL!!!

Make sure to head on over to my girl Julie's blog for another peek of this awesome set!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I am a Stamping Slacker!!!

LOL!! Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!! I haven't posted to my blog since Wednesday! WOWSA! I cannot even believe that!! I have been stamping, but I can't show you any of that stuff yet (but OH BOY...I really want too!!!), and I have also been busy at work (yuck!) and every weekend we have had birthday parties...I am exhausted!! LOL!! Not to mention, I had a FABULOUS dream about Jon Bon Jovi the other night, and I keep going to bed early to see if I can re-capture my dream...giggle!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS116, which honors Kathy aka Wattle!!! Woo Hoo! I was SUPER excited when I checked SCS tonight and saw that today Kathy is being honored! I just had to play along!!

I chose to case Kathy's Thankful Blooms card, which I realized was a Verve Sketch after I completed my card. I LOVE her colors and the stamps she used on her card!!

For my card, I also used all Verve, but I used different sets. The flowers are from Miracles Blossom, and they were stamped three times, colored with Copics, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center of each flower...I love that pop of bling!!!

I stamped just part of the sentiment from Meditations (the entire sentiment is "You're In My Thoughts and Prayers), and I cut it out with my brand new Spellbinders Shapeabilities, Ribbon Tags Trio, that I got from the Taylored Expressions Store!! Taylor has tons of the new Spellbinders!!!

The DSP on my card is Urban Oasis, and I used some of my Baja Breeze ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals. The panel of Baja Breeze behind my DSP was run through the Cuttlebug with the Harlequin Texturz Background from SU!/Sizzix, and I then highlighted it with my Baja Breeze ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Check back a little later for the start of the There She Goes Sneak Peeks, and Paper Pretties Peeks start on Wednesday!!!

Belated Birthdays...

Am I the only cardmaker out there that simply CANNOT send out a Birthday card on time? I really hope not :)

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday still! Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC225! What a SUPER fun layout this week!!!
For my card, I used my all time favorite DSP from SU!, Georgia Peach and a SUPER fun set from There She Goes, Slow and Steady! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this snail, and I love to color him (or her???).
I stamped the snail in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White and then masked him and stamped the grass behind him. I then colored all the images with my Copic Markers in the same colors as the Georgia Peach DSP.
I pierced all around the four pieces of the So Saffron pattern of Georgia Peach DSP. I added two Earth Elements Brads to the bottom panel.
I used the Happy Belated Birthday, also from Slow and Steady, for my sentiment...chances are I will need this card (and probably already do! LOL!!).
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Prettie Wednesday!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Wednesday!!!

Two weeks ago, Jana challenged the Prettie girls to make a card using a new technique...YIKES!!!

I had NO idea what I wanted to do, so I headed on over to SCS and checked out the Monday, Try a New Technique threads. Jackpot!! I chose to try my hand at a Ribbon Frame, something that I had not done before. This was TLC212.

I used Howdy Girlfriend for my card (LOVE her!!) and colored her with Copic Markers. I then used my slot punch in each of the four corners, and wove some Chocolate Chip polka dot ribbon from Valet Ribbon Originals to create my ribbon frame!!

I used Bella Rose DSP on my card, and I created the two borders with the Fleur De Lis punch by EK Success (thanks Jacks!!!). I split my sentiment and stamped Howdy on the top and Girlfriend on the bottom! I finished off my card with four White Brads by American Crafts.

You can see what techniques the rest of the Pretties tried right here:

I Don't Do Mornings!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Prettie Tuesday!!

If there was ever a saying that was "me", it would be "I don't do mornings!". I am NOT a fan of getting up in the morning...if I was left alone, I would probably sleep until noon every day!!!

For my card today, I used Bunny Slippers Sophia, and I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I colored her with Copic Markers, and I stamped the sentiment right next to her, after I framed her in an oval Nestie. Did you know that Paper Pretties know carries Copic Markers? Well, they do and they are 20% off retail!! SO cool!!

The sketch is Jen's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT, from Saturday...LOVE this fun layout!! The paper is Sweet Slumber from SU!, which I got from my super pal Jackie Pedro!!!

I added just a touch of piercing, silver brads and I colored some Art Flowers from Hero Arts with Copic Markers to match. LOVE that you can do that!!!

Thanks so much for looking and have a Prettie day!!!

Feels good to stamp!!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!! I had SUCH a crazy weekend, and it feels so good to get back into my stamp room and make something!!

Here is my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge from Friday, TECC64!! I used a few different Taylored Expressions sets for my card. My main cuppie image is from A Year Of Sweets 2, the clouds are from Branching Out Coordinates, and the sentiment is from Fresh Flowers!!

I stamped my cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I then stamped my clouds and colored the entire scene with Copic Markers. I added Diamond Stickles to the clouds for a bit of sparkle.

All of the cardstock, ribbon and patterned paper on this card are from the March Key Ingredients. The sentiment was cut out with Circle Nestabilities, and I added some Tiny Twinkles to the corner to spice it up!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

A Whole Lotta Challenges!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!! I have been MIA the past few days! Work and real life have been kicking my butt, and I have been going to bed before 9:00...that is SO not normal for me!!!

Since I haven't stamped in two days (the horrors!!), this card is a combination of quite a few challenges!! It is for Tuesday's Color Challenge, CC214, Bordering Saffron Pirouette, Wednesday's Sketch Challenge, SC224, Yesterday's Ways To Use It Challenge, WT214 Framed, and today's Limited Supply Challenge, LSC216, I "wheely" like stamping!! Whew!!

So, for my card, I started with Cupcake Mix & Match by There She Goes. I stamped my cake and cake stand onto Choice White Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black (I stamped the cake twice). I ran the entire panel through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I then took my second cake and colored it with Copic Markers, cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals.

My Bordering Blue and So Saffron panels were also run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Folder, as was my sentiment panel, which is Label 1 from Lots of Tags by SU!/Sizzix.

I created a frame (hence, WT214) with my paper piercing tool and template all around my focal panel. To comply with today's Limited Supply Challenge, I used the Whimsical Blossoms Wheel (although I couldn't find the handle so I had to just roll it along the paper...giggle!!) with Pretty In Pink ink onto my Pink Pirouette Panel, and I only used one image (the cake), one sentiment (Happy Birthday from Cupcake Mix & Match by There She Goes) and for my one embellishment, I used brads!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Cupcake Mix & Match by There She Goes & Whimsical Blossoms Wheel by SU!
Paper: So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Bordering Blue, Chocolate Chip & Choice White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Pretty In Pink Wheel Ink Cartridge

I used Trim the Tree Sophia for my card, and I stamped the envelope from Sealed With A Kiss, colored the heart, cut it out and handed it to Sophia (lol!!)...she is presenting her birthday card to Jana!!! Sophia was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I also gave her orange dress a coat of Candelight Shimmerz. Did you know that Copic Markers and Shimmerz are now available in the Prettie Boutique? Well, they sure are...and they are 20% off retail!! Make sure you head on over and stock up!!! I know I am going to!!

All of my panels were run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Folder, and I added two silver brads by American Crafts to each panel. Just Because!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!

Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC175, as well as for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC63!!

I was so inspired by this Floral Collage Wall Print from the Grandin Road site!! I LOVE the colors of the flowers, so that is what I tried to re-create!!

For my card, I used this GORGEOUS bunch of flowers from the newly released Fresh Flowers set by Taylored Expressions. I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock (my absolute FAVORITE paper to color with my Copics!). I colored all the flowers with my Copic Markers, and added some highlights to certain spots with my white gel pen. In real life, this image really POPS!!!

I added piercing all around my image, and for the sentiment, I used "Just Because" from the Branching Out set from Taylored Expressions. I punched it with my 1 3/8 Inch Circle Punch and layered it with black punched from 1 1/2 Inch Circle Punch. I then made 7 ribbon loops of sheer polka dot ribbon from Michaels, and arranged them behind the circle to make it pop!

Both my Real Red and Cool Caribbean panels were run through the Cuttlebug with the Harlequin Texturz Background from SU!

I finished off my card with three black Tiny Twinkles in two opposite corners. I love the little sparkle these add to a card! There is a special going on right now at Taylored Expressions with the Tiny Twinkles! You can click right HERE to check it out...it's an awesome deal!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

LSC...you ain't kiddin!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!! I am off work today...WOO HOO!!!

Here is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, LSC215, Triple Play!! Holy cow...this is one tough challenge (at least for me!!!)

Wendy issued the following challenge, and to be honest, I am not sure I followed all of the rules ;)

First, your creation must have THREE layers (I cheated a little here and have decided to allow y’all three layers on TOP of the card base). This is harder than it sounds, as we are all SOOO good at matting things (and be sure to count those patterned papers as a layer, too, if ya use 'em!)!

Second, you are required to use three colors . . . no more, no less (though you ARE allowed to use either white, vanilla, black or chocolate as a neutral in addition to the three colors you choose . . . please make sure that your neutral is one of the colors listed!). This is also very tricky for those of us who LOVE color!

Third, your card needs to have three elements, or focal points. For example, that could be three separate panels with an image stamped on each one; or a stamped image, a sentiment and an embellishment is another way you could interpret it (which is what I did for my sample) . . . it is really a triple combo of whatever you choose, but you are limited to only three (in keeping with our “triple play” theme).

OK...so, to be honest, when I read the VERY FIRST sentence...three layers, I immediately said "Nope...can't do this one" (grin). I LOVE layers...I really LOVE layers...almost as much as piercing! But then, I decided to put on my big girl panties (grin) and go for it!! To keep my card to the limited amount of layers, I did NO matting...what I did instead was I used the chisel edge of my Copic Marker and ran it around the edge of all my pieces of dp and cs...instead matting!!

Three colors...easy there, I used pink, yellow and chocolate, and my neutral is white!!

Embellishments, I used ribbons, brads and shimmerz...piercing is like glue for me, it's a necessity, not an embellishment (giggle!!).

I started my card by stamping three cupcakes from Cupcake Mix & Match (SUCH an awesome set! There are SO many possibilities with this set...it's one of my favs!!) by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock. I then colored my cupcakes and liners with Copic Markers, and the frosting on all three cupcakes has two coats of Candelight Shimmerz each.

I added three Chestnut Brads from American Crafts, one under each cupcake for balance, and I used my slot punch to create the hole for my double ribbon of Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain and Regal Rose Grosgrain.

The DSP is my FAVORITE DSP EVER...Georgia Peach...which is almost a fond memory....I am running VERY low....I may have to hit Ebay to find some more (Oh...the horrors!!!).

Thanks SO much for looking!!! Happy Friday!!

Happy Birthday Nani!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC223!!

I made this card for my grandmother, who we call Nani. She is turning 90 on Easter Sunday (and...she still drives, LOVES to shop - brand names only...she is a firecracker!!). I wanted to make her a card that she would love, and I think I hit the mark with this one!!

For my card, I used the FABULOUS, newly released Fresh Flowers set from Taylored Expressions!! I stamped my vase and then stamped the flowers, which are out of the box, onto Choice White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the water in the vase and the flowers and leaves with Copic Markers. I added two coats of Candelight Shimmerz to the flowers and I coated the water in the vase with Glossy Accents!!

All the papers are from Walk In The Park DSP, and I made my center panel a touch smaller to accomodate my Baja Breeze Corduroy Buttons!!!

I created the border of Basic Grey with my BRAND NEW Fleur De Lis Punch by EK Success, which my UBER fabulouso pal Jackie Pedro found for me in California and shipped it all the way to me in New York!! THANKS JACKS!!! You are the BOMB!!!

Notice...there is NO piercing on my card, but I did create a frame around my focal panel (well, around three sides of it...I didn't want to interfere with the vase), as I just CANNOT leave something with too much white space!!!

I stamped the sentiment, also from Fresh Flowers, directly onto my DSP, and I finished off my card with some White Satin Ribbon!!

I hope Nani loves her Birthday card!!! Happy Birthday Nani Rose!!!

Prettie Sketchy Wednesday!!

Hi Prettie People!! Happy Wednesday!!

Two weeks ago, the FABULOUS Jules challenged the Prettie Girls with a super awesome sketch, my very favorite type of challenge!!!

For my card, I used Right On Par, a newly released set from Paper Pretties! I ADORE this set...SO perfect for alot of the men in my family!!!

Luke is colored with Copic Markers, and all the papers on this are from Urban Oasis!!

I added the scallop borders using my Scallop Edge Punch, and I used two of my beloved and much hoarded Neutrals brads from SU!

I pierced around Luke as well as the sentiment and didn't add any ribbon, as I wanted to keep the masculine feel of my card!!!

You can see what the other Pretties have done with this ROCKIN' sketch right here!!!

Make A Splash!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!!

As it's Tuesday, I have another Prettie creation to share with you!!! Feast your eyes on the newest Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties, Make A Splash! How CAAAA-UTE is she??? I LOVE her!!

My daughter sat with me while I made this card (she is three), and kept asking me what "she" was doing...she thinks SHE is Sophia! Too cute!!!

For my card, I colored Make A Splash Sophia with my Copic Markers, which, by the way, you can now get in the Prettie Boutique for 20% off retail (SOOOO cool!!). I then added some Glossy Accents to all the splashes of water, and it's super cool in real life.

The DSP is Walk In The Park by SU! as is the White Satin Ribbon. I finally used some of my Flower Brads from SU! too!!!

Sophia is framed in Circle Nestabilities, and I did NOT pierce ANYTHING on this card!! LOL!!

If you NEED Make A Splash Sophia (and of course you do!!), head on over to Paper Pretties and sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club!! You get the latest and greatest Stamp of the Month sent each month automatically, and before the SOTM is released to the public!!!

A Good Egg!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for today's Color Challenge on SCS, CC213, Bashful Saffron Cocoa!! This is a super sweet color combo, and I knew just what I wanted to do!!

This card is for my nephew's first Easter, so I pulled out A Good Egg from SU! (LOVE this set!!). I stamped the chick onto Whisper White with Basic Black ink and watercolored him with So Saffron Ink and an Aquapainter. I paper pieced his shell with some Bashful Blue paper from Delicate Dots DSP.

I also used Delicate Dots DSP on the entire card, and for my center panel, I added two strips of Close to Cocoa that I punched with my Scallop Edge Punch.

I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White and punched it with my Large Oval Punch. I framed it with Close to Cocoa that I punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.

I finished off my card with some piercing a double ribbon of White Satin and Blue Gingham.

This card is SUO!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

It's Release Day!!! WOO HOO!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!! Today is the day! Release day at Taylored Expressions! I am SO excited for you all the see the new sets in their entirety, PLUS all of the exciting new products available at Taylored Expressions (can you say nesties?????).

For my card today, I used Fresh Flowers, which I just LOVE! This set is SUPER versatile, perfect for Mother's Day as well as Birthday Cards, Thank You cards...it's a must-have, in my opinion!!

I stamped my image onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored the vase and flowers (how GORGEOUS are these flowers? LOVE them!), with my Copic Markers.

ALL of the cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments on my card are from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients, also being released today! I LOVE the Key Ingredients. It is SO nice to be able to sit down and create, and in ONE place, have all the cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments that actually GO together!! You can even join the Key Ingredients Subscription, and choose either a 3 month or 6 month subscription and receive a new Key Ingredients kit each and every month!!

I did NOT pierce on this card (I know...crazy right??), but I still just could not leave my image alone (clearly I have issues!!), so using a ruler and my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, I created a frame around my image. I also added two Chocolate Chip lines on my vertical panel. I added a border of Choice Buttercream to my vertical panel which I punched with my Eyelet Border Punch, and I stamped my sentiment onto the patterned paper, which is Crate Paper Blue Hill Collection, and punched it with my Circle Punches. I finished off my card with some bling, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, which are INCLUDED in the Mother's Day Key Ingredients!!!

Today, I also have a sample of the Scalloped Purse favors for you! These are SOOOOOO much fun!!

For mine, I once again used Fresh Flowers! I chose one of the flower stamps in this set (and there are tons!), and I stamped it in Versamark ink all over the purse BEFORE I assembled it.

I then stamped the same flower in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock twice, colored it with my Copic Markers, cut one out and popped it up!

For the purse, I chose to use the Happy Birthday sentiment, and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black. I added TONS of bling two different ribbons, both from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients, and that's it! SO super simple and so much fun too!!!

These Scalloped Purses come pre-scored, so they go together SUPER fast!! I love that I can use this to present a birthday gift now...perhaps a pretty piece of jewelry for my mom or my daughter's Godmother.

The Write Stuff!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS113, which honors the totally AWESOME Julie aka Just Write Designs!! I am such a fan of Julie's and it was SO much fun choosing a card of hers to case!!

I decided to case her TY For The Birds That Swing card!! Here is what I did!!

I LOVED the scene she created, so I used my Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates sets from Taylored Expressions to create my branches and swinging bird!! Before I stamped my images, I created my cloud background with a cloud template from CC Designs. I used Soft Sky ink to create the clouds. I then stamped my branches, swing and bird in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Choice Bright White Cardstock. I stamped the bird twice, and he is cut up and popped up on dimensionals! I used Copic Markers to color all the images on my card!!

I kept Julie's layout with the one main focal panel, but I added some layers. I also added ribbon loops, paper piercing and used DSP (Rockabilly).

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Make sure to check back a little bit later for another Taylored Expressions card!!

Enjoy!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!! Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC174, French Bull!! This company has SUCH cool stuff...I really had to STOP myself from placing an order ;)

I was SUPER inspired by this Tapestry Porcelain Mug (which, thankfully for my wallet, is out of stock!). For my card, I pulled out my Let's Get Together set from There She Goes, which is PERFECT for the mug (love when that happens!!).

I reverse-masked my mug and then stamped three different flowers from Flowers of Happiness from There She Goes. I then colored my mug with Copic Markers and added some Tiny Twinkles to the center of each flower.

I framed my super flowery mug with Circle Nestabilities, and I used Pink Flamingo DSP from SU! I added a super fun border with the Dotted Wave punch from EK Success and finished off my card with piercing and some yummy White Satin Ribbon from SU!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Are you a Downtown Diva?

Well, I sure am ;)
(well, at least I like to think I am!! LOL!)

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!! Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks of the Taylored Expressions Release!! Tomorrow is the big day and you will be able to get your hands on Fresh Flowers, the set you saw yesterday (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE), and this AWESOME new set, Downtown Diva (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!).

OK...seriously, these cuppies just get more and more fabulous with each release, and DIVA cuppies...NO WAY!! LOVE them!!!

For my card, I stamped the row of shops (how cooooool are they!!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock (my ALL time favorite cardstock to use my Copics on!!), and colored the entire scene with my Copic Markers. I must admit, I had WAY too much fun coloring this!!! I then stamped my little diva cuppie, also in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice White Cardstock, colored her with Copics (did you see that flower in her hair??? LOVE that!!), and punched her out with my 1 1/4 Circle Punch! I paper pieced her cuppie *liner* with the same DSP I used on the rest of my card, Sweet Slumber by SU! I then layered her with another circle and a Scallop Circle that I punched with my Crop-A-Dile to get the holes.

The sentiment, "People who say money can't buy happiness, don't know where to shop!" was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto the DSP! How FUN is this sentiment (and SO true...ask any stamper, we know that money buys stamp happiness right???)

I finished off my card with TONS of piercing (what can I say...I just LIKE to!!), and a double ribbon of So Saffron and Riding Hood Red!!

Are you ready? (Yes, I'm ready)

To fall in love....and I already have, with the new stamps from Taylored Expressions that is!!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! Woo Hoo!!! I LOVE Fridays, and this one is especially FABULOUS!!! Welcome to day 1 of sneak peeks from the newest Taylored Expressions release!!!! I am SO excited about this release...talk about AWESOME!!!!

For my card today, I am showing you a peek of a FABULOUS new set, Fresh Flowers!!! Oh! The joy! This set is a DELIGHT for Mother's Day and for just about any other occasion as well!!

I stamped my window, shutters and window boxes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock, and colored all of my images with Copic Markers. After I colored my image, I had a bit of a brainstorm, so using my craft knife, I cut three sides of each window so it would open up!! FUN!!!

Here is a view of my card with the windows *open*!!

For the inside of the windows, I stamped the windows again, colored them with Copics, cut them out and just adhered them to the opposite side. That way, you see a window whether the panels are open or closed!!

I knew I wanted a *view* once the windows were opened, so I used the same patterned paper from the base of my card, which is Crate Paper Blue Hill Collection. I created a frame on my *wall* and the picture inside is of a lovely flower, which is one of the GORGEOUS images in this set!! I also stamped the vase and flower, also part of this set, colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them up!! I really LOVE how this came out (and that hardly ever happens to me!!!)

ALL of the cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments on my card are from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients!!! This kit, like all of the Key Ingredients Kits, is CHOCK full of total FABULOUSNESS!!! The beautiful patterned paper from the Blue Hill Collection by Crate Paper, GORGEOUS Prism cardstock that coordinates BEAUTIFULLY with the patterned paper, Choice Buttercream Cardstock, an assortment of shimmery flowers, 5 yards of ribbon AND Kaisercraft Clear Rhinestones!!! SCORE!!! The Key Ingredients are one of my favorite things in the Taylored Expressions Store (OK...I LOVE it all, but seriously...). We all know that I LOVE things that match...and that is the GENIUS behind the Key Ingredients! EVERYTHING coordinates so beautifully...it makes creating a joy in my opinion!!!

For my sentiment, I stamped it onto Island Mist Light Cardstock and punched it out with my 1 1/4 Inch Circle Punch. I then layered it with Suede Brown Medium Cardstock punched from my 1 3/8 Inch Circle Punch. I then put it on the corner of my layout, and cut it so it matched my border perfectly. I jazzed it up a bit with some of the Kaisercraft Clear Rhinestones, which I then also placed on the opposite corner for some interest. I used my Scallop Edge Punch to spice up my band across the card. I added some piercing, GORGEOUS ribbon and called it done!!!

This card was SOOOOO much fun to make, and I can't wait to give it to my Mom to thank her for all she does for me!! I have a feeling she is going to love it!!!

You can see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with this AWESOME new set right here!!! Make sure to stop by tomorrow for another peek of ANOTHER fabulous new set, along with info on some AMAZING new products that will be available at Taylored Expressions!!! OK...there is ONE thing I can tell you all...are you ready??? Taylored Expressions is now carrying FLOWER SOFT!! It's SUPER fun and easy to work with, you get SUCH beautiful results, AND, it's all the rage!!! Cool right???
