Boo!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I made with one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches from a week or so ago, SSSC86. What a fun sketch!!

For my card, I used the newly released Hangin' Out Wicked Wardrobe from Taylored Expressions and started by stamping this sweet ghost in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I very lightly colored him with Copic Markers and then cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities.

All the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and bling on my card are from the AMAZING Fright Night Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions. I LOVE this paper (Happy Halloween by Echo Park Papers!).

I used the sentiment, "Boo", also from Hangin' Out Wicked Wardrobe, and added some googlie eyes to the o's. SO fun! I cut out and embossed the sentiment panel with Oval Nestabilities and layered it over cardstock cut from Scallop Oval Nestabilities.

The bow was created with the Bow Easy (love!) and the bling was SO easy to apply using Embellie Gellie (love!). I added a touch of Starfire Glitter around the outline of the ghost to make him sparkle a bit!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Every Girl Deserves A Fairy Tale!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is a card I made for last Wednesday's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, Make A Scene! I am just getting this one in under the wire...a new challenge will be issued tomorrow!

The second I saw this Make A Scene challenge, I knew I wanted to ink up the new Well Read WTG by My Favorite Things.

I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and then, using a Copic Multiliner, I drew in the wood floor and moulding and colored them with Copic Markers.

I pulled out an older set from MFT, Behind The Scenes, and stamped the floral "wallpaper" in Memento Desert Sand. I paper pieced the couch and pillows in different patterns from Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket and colored WTG with Copic Markers.

In my world, if I am reading a fairy tale, it involves Edward (sigh!), so I made the book that WTG is reading Twilight using my Copic Multiliner!

I kept the rest of my card super simple, and I used more Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket and sewed each pattern with my sewing machine. I added a bow of Cream Cotton Twill ribbon (which I LOVE) that I created with my Bow Easy and then finished off my card with three brown Baby Braddies.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Paper: Choice Buttercream, Suede Brown Dark & Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket

Act of Kindness!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

This is a scheduled post...by the time it goes up I will be on my way to the hospital to have my little girl! I have several posts scheduled for this week, and as soon as I am able to pop in with pictures of my new little one, and of course, her big sister, my sweet MJ, I will be sure to do so!!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG74, which is this GORGEOUS inspiration picture brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, Iwona aka Chupa!

I had SO much fun making this card, even though it's more of a CAS card that I am used to creating! It would have probably taken me less time to create this card if I had used an image that had to be colored...when I make a CAS card I tend to stare at it over and over trying to see if it needs anything else! What can I say...I am a layers...and layers....and layers...and some more layers...kind of gal!

For my card, I was inspired by the colors, patterns and the layout of the inspiration picture. I started by stamping this solid floral image from Act of Kindess by There She Goes in Summer Sun onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and then cut it out and embossed it with Oval Nestabilities.

The patterned paper is So Sophie from My Minds Eye and I like the graphic pattern and how it kind of mimics the pattern in the inspiration photo. I added a border of Suede Brown Dark with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die and added some piercing to the white border as well as around the focal image.

The sentiment, "How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it!", is also from Act of Kindness and I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa onto my main Choice Snow White panel. I finished this one off with three white brads in the top left corner. Now I am not sure if maybe I could have snuck a ribbon on here somewhere...LOL!

We would LOVE for you to play along! Simply create a card or project inspired by this inspiration picture and link your creation to the TSG74 post on the There She Goes Blog! One lucky participant will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! Perfect to use on the FAB new release that was revealed on Saturday!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Time To Celebrate!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT!!! It's another awesome sketch from Jen!!

My focal panel turned out a bit bigger than the sketch called for. I really wanted to ink up this super sweet A La Modes Time To Celebrate from My Favorite Things.

I stamped this sweetie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored her with Copic Markers. I sewed all around the focal panel and added some red Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to each corner. LOVE a bit of sparkle!

The patterned paper is from Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket (which I totally love!), and I gave the edges of each vertical panel some sass using the Die-Namics Notebook Edge.

For the two small horizontal panels in the sketch, I used some delish Cream Cotton Twill, also from My Favorite Things. The sentiment, from A La Modes Time To Celebrate, was stamped so that it fit in the circle, and I then cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and layered it over Scallop Circle Nestabilities cut from Classic Red Cardstock.

Check out what the AMAZING SFYTT sisters have done with this sketch right here!!

Are You A Good Witch...Or A Bad Witch?

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

Here is a card I made using Mercy's AWESOME Tuesday Sketch Challenge from this Tuesday, MTSC92! What an awesome sketch!

For my card, I pulled out one of my favorite sets from Taylored Expressions, Punchy Potions! I LOVE to make Halloween cards and I love all the fun Halloween sets from Taylored Expressions!!

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some shimmer to the spiderwebs of the witch's skirt with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen.

The images in this set were created to match perfectly with Oval Nestabilities, and I cut out and embossed my image with Oval Nestabilities in a flash!

All the patterned paper, cardstock and the ric rac ribbon I used are from the AMAZING Fright Night Project Pantry Kit, also from Taylored Expressions. I sewed all the layers on my sewing machine and added a fun sentiment, "Have A Wildly Wicked Halloween", from the new Hangin' Out Wicked Wardrobe, directly onto the patterned paper.

The scallop border was created with the AWESOME Scalloped Eyelet Border Die from Taylored Expressions and I added three black Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the opposite corners. I attached them with the AMAZING Embellie Gellie...sigh...I am in LOVE!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

There She Goes Previews: Day Three

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

Today is the third day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes! Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today, the Trendsetter's get to share peeks of TWO fabulous new sets, illustrated by the amazing Torico, with you!! These both totally make me smile!!

My first card uses the SUPER delightful new Hauntingly Delightful set, and of course, I HAD to use the vampire!!

This little cutie is colored with Copic Markers and then cut out and embossed with Rectangle Nestabilities which I layered over Circle Nestabilities.

The background is Basic Grey and was embossed with the Spiderwebs Embossing Folder. I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in Black to the circle panel and the patterned paper is the new Echo Park Halloween paper!

I created the bat border with an EK Success punch that I picked up last year, and of course, never made a note of the name!!! The sentiment, "Bite Me" (which totally cracks me up), was punched with the Word Window Punch and I attached it to the card with a red brad. Two ribbon knots complete this card.

The second set we are sharing today is called You're A Hoot, and it is also such a fun set to use!!

For my card, I used last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS for my layout, SC298.

I colored the owl with Copic Markers and then cut him out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities. I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo to make him pop a bit.

All the patterned paper is from Nutmeg by Cosmo Cricket (which I have had FOREVER but am just now actually liking...LOL!). I kept this one pretty simple and somehow managed to NOT sew on my card (which is painful for me...LOL!!).

I did cut out and emboss the sentiment, "Hoo loves ya baby" with the Tags Trio by Spellbinders and sponged that as well to match the focal panel. I attached it to my card with a chocolate bow that I created with my Bow Easy and finished this one off with two baby braddies.

Would you LOVE the chance to win Hauntingly Delightful AND You're A Hoot? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Hauntingly Delightful/You're A Hoot post and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Hauntingly Delightful/You're A Hoot post! One lucky winner will win both sets!! Good luck!

The next stop on this rockin' hop is at the amazing Julie Lacey's Blog!

Today is the second day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today, the Trendsetters get to share a GORGEOUS new set with you designed by the amazing Chris Dark, Autumn Mosaic!

This set is totally gorgeous!!! I started my card using this past Saturday's Sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS74. I colored the tree with Copic Markers and then cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities. I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo to make it pop.

All the patterned paper is from Wanted by Cosmo Cricket, and I sponged all of the edges with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and then embossed each panel, a la Kim, with the Textile Embossing Folder. (Did you see Kim's tutorial on how she does this...I am in LOVE!).

I created a little tag for the sentiment, "Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree" and attached it to my card with some twill ribbon that I created a bow using the Bow Easy and a fun wooden button from my stash. I added too more brads in the top corner, sewed all the edges and called it done!

Would you LOVE a chance to win Autumn Mosaic? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Autumn Mosaic post and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Autumn Mosaic post! For my card, I used the sketch brought to us by our FABULOUS Sankari, and I had SO much fun with it too!!!

I used one of my all time FAVORITE Taylored Expressions sets, Trick or Sweet! I stamped the mummy cuppie (which I have never even inked up before...can you believe!) in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic Markers.

ALL the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon are from the Fright Night Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions. I sewed each pattern on my sewing machine and the border was created with the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die (which I just LOVE!!!). I finished this one off with three purple Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on my focal panel.

Today, the Trendsetter's are sharing a simply Puuuuuuuurfect new set with you, Cattitude!! As the mommy of 4 cats, I can tell you that I will be using this set ALOT!!!

For my card today, I used one of Jen's SFYTT sketches from a few weeks ago, as I had the circle focal panel I wanted to you.

I colored this little cutie with Copic Markers, cut her out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities and then layered it over a Scallop Circle of Orchid Opulence.

Like TONS of my cards these days, I used the new Pixie-Licious by Cosmo Cricket, and the sentiment, "It's All About the Cattitude" became my horizontal panel.

I added some stitching, brads and a fun layered flower and called this one done!!

Would you LOVE to win Cattitude for your very own? Getting that chance is super easy! Believe In Magic!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I made for this past Wednesday's MFT Stamp Club Challenge, Super Star!!!

For my card, I started with Wednesday's sketch from SCS, SC298, but I flipped it so I could use this ADORABLE newly released Pure Innocence Princess from My Favorite Things.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I then added TONS of glitter to her hat and dress and I LOVE how sparkly she is in real life. I cut out and embossed her, after cutting around her hat, with Oval Nestabilities, and then layered her on Orchid Opulance with Oval Nestabilities.

All the patterned paper is from Pixie-Licious from Cosmo Cricket, and I embossed the Certainly Celery panel in the background with the Stars Embossing Folder. To continue on with the "star" theme, I used the new Die-Namics Star Border with some Yo Yo Yellow cardstock and then used just one star to create a wand for my princess. I attached it to the focal panel and drew in the wand with a Copic Multiliner. I added some more glitter to the star and placed one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the center.

I used the Die-Namics Star Border again and created a little corner embellie out of Orchid Opulance cardstock. The sentiment, "Believe In Magic", also from Pure Innocence Princess, was stamped and layered using the Die-Namics Rounded Banner Trio. A few more of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the top left corner finish this one off.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope you have a magical day!!

Happy Birthday To You!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT!!!

For my card, I used the SUPER sweet new Make A Wish set from Taylored Expressions and stamped the cake and cake plate in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock.

I colored the image with Copic Markers and added some glitter to the stars and the "fudge" topping on the cake.

The sentiment, "Happy Birthday To You" is also from Make A Wish, and I simply stamped each word separately so that I could make it fit in the circle. I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities and layered it onto cardstock cut from Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

I embossed the orange panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and all the cardstock and patterned paper on my card are from the Make A Wish Project Pantry Kit, also from Taylored Expressions. I used the brand new Make A Wish Balloon Dies from Taylored Expressions and cut them out with some felt from my stash for a fun accent. I added some bling with Taylor's Tiny Twinkles and I attached them with the AMAZING Embellie Gellie (this stuff ROCKS my world!).

My Card Deets:

The scallops were created with the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and I added tons of bling with Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. I found a fun little sewing notion in my stash that reminds me of a bra strap holder and I threaded it through the bow I created. I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC91 for the layout!

I Come In Peace!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is a card I created with some new MFT goodies that arrived over the weekend! So.much.fun!

For my card today, I used Saturday's Sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS73! I normally shy away from panels that are on an angle, but lately I have been loving the look of them!

I used the RAD A la Modes Groovy Girl from My Favorite Things for my card and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I added some crystal glitter to the peace sign for a bit of sparkle! I have to tell you...I ADORE the A la Modes girls...each one of them (I have all four!) make me smile!

I cut out and embossed the focal panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and added a chocolate Baby Braddie from the new Baby Braddies Neutral Collection in each corner. The patterned paper is from Feeling Groovy by Doodlebug Designs and the Cool Caribbean panel (I must find more of this paper!) was run through the Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I cut out the flowers using the new Die-Namics Perfect Petal Trio out of Cool Caribbean & Intense Orange, and also embossed them with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I added a button from the Scoop o' Buttons Earth Girl Collection in the center of the flower. I created a sentiment flag that I attached under the flower, and I used the "I Come In Peace" sentiment from A la Modes Groovy Girl (LOVE that!).

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope you have a groovy day!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG72, which is a FAB sketch brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, the RIDICULOUSLY talented Kim!

Now, just like all of the TSG Challenges this month, this week's challenge is more than a sketch! It's a challenge with a spin...to make a Birthday card in honor of TSG's upcoming 2nd Birthday!

I had a BLAST with this sketch, and making my card for today! I started by stamping the GORGEOUS flowers from Dream A New Dream, the latest release illustrated by Chris Dark by There She Goes. These images are SO fun to color! I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored them with Copic Markers. I added Coffee Bean Brown Sparkly Fluff in the center of each flower and gave the vase a coat of Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

I cut out and embossed the focal panel with Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo. The sentiment, "Happy Birthday", is from Holiday Tags by There She Goes, and after stamping it, I cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with the same Memento inks that I used on the focal panel.

I pulled out some yummy vanilla gathered ribbon and used that for the two horizontal panels. I also used the same ribbon, and my Bow Easy, to create the bow on the top ribbon. I added two brads and sewed all the layers on my sewing machine. The patterned paper is all from Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket, which I just LOVE because it can be whimsical or elegant!

We would LOVE for you to play along with this awesome challenge (with a spin!). Create a Birthday card using this sketch and make sure to link it back to today's TSG72 post on the There She Goes Blog! One lucky participant in ALL the TSG Challenges this month will win a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! WOOT!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

A Beary Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

Here is a card I made for this week's TCP Tuesday at The Cat's Pajamas! I was SO inspired by the rainbow of colors in the inspiration picture, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the 72 & Sunny papers from We R Memory Keepers!!

For my card, I used one of my favorite sets from The Cat's Pajamas, A Beary Good Year! I LOVE how you can customize PJ for any occassion and holiday...so fun!!

I stamped PJ, the cake, the present and party hat in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them all with Copic Markers. I then cut each one out and placed PJ over a circle cut from Circle Nestabilities out of Intense Orange which I embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I kept the layout fairly simple, and I stamped the sentiment, "Have a Beary Happy Birthday" directly onto the patterned paper. I used the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die from My Favorite Things to create the border and adorned it with some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. My simple red grosgrain bow was created with the Bow Easy.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Ahhh...Lattes

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT, which is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique!!

Today's sketch is SO much fun, and I used the DARLING Lattes For Two digi image from The Stamping Boutique for my card today.

Now, I WISH this is what I look like prego right now, but unfortunately, which just two weeks to go, I am WAY bigger than this Princess Jennifer Latte! I thought this image was perfect for me since you all know how much I LOVE my lattes...can't wait to have a big ole' cup of caffeine!!

All the patterned paper on my card today is from Mitten Weather by Cosmo Cricket, which I think is SUCH a fun collection that is not just for holiday cards.

The sentiment, "There's going to be a latte problems if I don't get my coffee soon", is from the Daily Grind by There She Goes, and it totally cracks me up! I cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and layered it over Scalloped Circle Nestabilities cut from Herbal Garden Medium.

I added three brads to my focal panel, and all of my layers were sewn on my sewing machine. The three vertical strips of polka dot patterned paper were attached with some more funky stitching.

Check out what the AMAZING SFYTT sisters have done with this sketch right here!!

I'm Your Biggest Fan!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!! Ahhh...it feels SO good that it's Friday!!!

Here is a card I created for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, Back To School Blues!! My MFT stamps have been getting lots of love these days!!

For my card, I knew I wanted to use the SUPER darling Pure Innocence Cheerleader from My Favorite Things and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored her with Copic Markers. The pom poms were stamped, colored, cut out and then popped up on Foam Tape.

Once again, I made her hair a bit longer using a Copic Multiliner. I wanted to make her look more like my little one, who is sure to be the recipient of this card.

I used this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC297, for the layout, and I must admit, I hardly EVER use blue on my cards. I am not quite sure why...I like the color blue, but I hardly ever use it in my stampy creations. I made sure to use LOTS of blue on my card, and it was really easy to do using some Report Card patterned paper from October Afternoon.

All of the layers were sewn on my sewing machine, and I am not sure if you can really tell, but my horizontal panel of Nautical Blue Dark was cut out using the Die-Namics Framed Greeting Die. I thought it gave the edge a bit of pop. I added a bow, which I created with the Bow Easy, of vanilla grosgrain for a bit of embellishment.

I stamped the sentiment, "I'm Your Biggest Fan", also from Pure Innocence Cheerleader, and cut it out and attached it to the focal panel. The other three corners of the focal panel each got a Brilliant Blue Brad for some interest.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Have a great Friday!!

I Simply Adore You!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I created using this past Saturday's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS72! I have had some extra stampy time (the calm before the baby storm!) and have been lovin' stamping with some of my MFT goodies!

For my card today, I stamped the totally adorable Pure Innocence Being Cute Is What I Do in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

I paper pieced her shirt with the same patterned paper I used on the rest of my card, Pixie-Licious by Cosmo Cricket. I cut her out and embossed her with Rectangle Nestabilities and added purple Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in each corner.

I stamped the sentiment, "I simply adore you" directly onto the patterned paper and added some more purple Taylor's Tiny Twinkles under the sentiment to make it pop. These went on like a BREEZE using the Embellie Gellie (seriously...who is the GENIUS that invented this???).

I used the fabulous Die-Namics Open Scallop Die cut from Orchid Opulance for my horizontal panel and the flower was cut from more Pixie-Licious using the Die-Namics Flower Trio and Leaf Trio Duo. I cut the leaves using the same Die-Namics and some felt.

I hope to have more MFT creations coming up using goodies from the latest release (I have NO self control when it comes to MFT!).

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Make A Wish!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is a card I made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from this past weekend, SSSC84!

I used TONS of new goodies from Taylored Expressions on my card today and I must admit, I had a blast making this!!

I started by stamping the new Big Bubbles Background in Colorbox Aquamarine. I LOVE background stamps and these Big Bubbles make me happy!!

I then stamped "Make A Wish" from the new Make A Wish set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I used a Clear Spica Glitter Pen to give the star over the "i" a bit of shine.

All the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and baker's twine on my card are from the Make A Wish Project Pantry Kit. I have been using this Project Pantry Kit, along with the Fright Night Project Pantry Kit, like CRAZY! LOVE them both!

To add some interest to my card, I used the new Make A Wish Balloon Dies and some felt from my stash to create the felt balloons! I attached baker's twine to the end of each balloon and added a highlight with White Opal Liquid Pearls. I also used my beloved new Scalloped Eyelet Border Die and cut some felt with it as well for my bottom border! To finish off my card, I added a bow with the red ribbon from the Make A Wish Project Pantry Kit and I used the wonderful Bow Easy to create it!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day!!

This month celebrate's There She Goes 2nd Birthday, and each week's There She Goes Challenge this month is a challenge with a spin!!!

Today's challenge is brought to us by the FABULOUS Julie Lacey, and she has give us an awesome color challenge of Black, Kraft & Teal! The spin is that you have to create a card with these colors AND it must be a Birthday Card!!
The best part? If you participate in all of the There She Goes Challenges in September, you will qualify to win a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store to use on anything you want! WOOT!!

For my card today, I used one of my all time favorite sets from There She Goes, the Sweet Pea mini set! I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.

I think this color combo ROCKS and I wanted to keep a clean feel to my card. I cut out the focal image with Oval Nestabilities and then layered it over a piece of black cardstock also cut with Oval Nestabilities.

The Taken With Teal panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and the Kraft panel was run through with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I used the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die and some black felt to create the border on the bottom, and I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the border as well as the focal panel. The ribbon is a yummy stitched ribbon I picked up a while ago at my LSS and I created the bow with the Bow Easy. The sentiment, "Happy Birthday", also from Sweet Pea, was stamped on Taken With Teal cardstock and then punched out with the Word Window Punch.

We would LOVE you to play along! Create a Birthday Card using this color challenge and make sure to link your creation to today's TSG71 post on the There She Goes Blog!!

You're Such A Smartie!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I created for last Wednesday's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, which is an AWESOME sketch, MFTWSC09012010.

I had SO much fun making this card as I was finally able to ink up the UBER adorable Emma With Her Backpack that was released LAST month from MFT!! I thought I better get her inky before all of the goodies from THIS month's release arrive (grin!).

I LOVE the Pure Innocence Line @ MFT and these Emma sets totally tug at my heart...I think I have them all as they remind me of my little girl.

For my card, I stamped Emma in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her skirt with one of the patterns I used on my card, which are all from Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket. I used the same pattern on the bottom that I cut with the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die, but the other panels kind of cover it up more than I thought.

On the ledger paper, I added three brads from my stash, and all the layers were sewn on my sewing machine. I added some highlights with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen to the flower in her hair and the buttons and zipper on her backpack. I did place my sentiment on the opposite side of the card than the sketch shows, as I didn't want to cover Emma up at all. I used the "You're Such A Smartie" sentiment from Emma With Her Backpack and I plan on giving this to Meredith when school starts.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Wildy Wicked!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT!!!

Have you seen all the previews and new releases from Taylored Expressions that I have been sharing for the past few days? Well, I just can't stop using them, so for my card today I decided to make another Halloween card!!

I used the AWESOME new Hangin' Out Wicked Wardrobe from Taylored Expressions and started by stamping the witch's head and dress in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I stamped the hat separately.

I colored the hat and portions of her dress with Copic Markers, and for the rest of her dress, I paper pieced it with some of the same patterned paper I used on the rest of my card, Happy Halloween from Echo Park Papers! In fact, all of the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and batty brads are from the Fright Night Project Pantry just released from Taylored Expressions! I cut out her hat and attached it on an angle.

Using my glue pen, I added some touches of glitter to her sleeves, the band on her hat and her bodice. I sewed each layer on my sewing machine. I stamped the sentiment, "Have a wildy Wicked Halloween", directly onto my cardstock and then ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

Release Day @ Taylored Expressions!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!! I {heart} Fridays!!!

Today is the big release day at Taylored Expressions, and it is also Taylored Expressions 2nd Birthday! Woo Hoo!

To celebrate, there is ALOT going on in the Taylored Expressions store, so keep on reading for all the deets!!

Today, the Baker's Dozen are sharing projects made with all of the sets we have been peeking for the past three days, and I have two projects using the AMAZING Make A Wish set to share with you!

As I mentioned the other day, Make A Wish is the latest set in the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree Program, and for the months of September, October and November, Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 from the sale of each Make A Wish set a national children's charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions
For my first project today, I created a card using this week's Sketch Challenge from SCS, SC296! ALL of the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon on my card are from the AMAZING Make A Wish Project Pantry Kit!

I decided to make one of the sentiments from Make A Wish, "Wishing you a special day filled with happiness and everything you enjoy!", the focal point of my card. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and cut it out using the previously released Take Note Frame 3 Die from Taylored Expressions. I stamped some of the smaller stamps in this set onto my focal panel to make it pop...I stamped the stars in Colorbox Yellow Ochre, the swirls in Colorbox Aquamarine and the hearts in Colorbox Warm Red.

I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe and added TONS of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles around the edge. I must tell you, I recently purchased the Embellie Gellie from Taylored Expressions, and it made attaching the Taylor's Tiny Twinkles an absolute BREEZE! This is a MUST have tool for sure! I used my beloved Bow Easy to create the bow for my card! Also, I am not sure if you can really see from the picture, but I used the Bubbles Big Background with Colorbox Aquamarine Chalk Ink to stamp the back layer of my card. I love the extra little POP that a background can give a card!
For my second project today, I wanted to create a 3-D item, and I chose to make a 2-5-7-10 Box as a great way to present a little gift, or even some sweet treats! Once again, all of the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, and even the Adirondack Espresso Pearls I used are all from the Make A Wish Project Pantry Kit!

I kept this pretty simple, and created a border for the flap using the AWESOME (can you tell I love it because I have used it on almost ALL of my peeks this week) Scalloped Lace Eyelet Border Die. I added a bit of machine stitching as well.

I stamped the cake from Make A Wish in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some chocolate icing (grin!), with the Adirondack Espresso Pearls to the top two layers of the cake. I created two holes with a hole punch and threaded the ribbon through it to close the box. Super easy and I love how it came out!
Please head on over to the other members of the Baker's Dozen to see all of their creations today! I am sure they will all blow you away!
