The Wonder of Christmas!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday again!!

As promised, I am back with my card for today's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT)!

Have you ever had an idea for a card floating around in your head that you just NEEDED to create? That's what happened to me with this card!!

Do you see those sweet felt mittens on my card? I created them using the oven mitt die from the new Kitchen Accessories Die from Taylored Expressions! Each time I looked at the die I thought it would be SO cute to use them in a different context, and they make the perfect winter mittens!!!

The red pearls on the bottom of my card, green and red cardstock, as well as the Choice Buttercream I used the layer and the delish Tinsel & Twig from The Girls Paperie, are all from the Tinsel & Twig Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions.

I stamped one of the snowflakes from Winter Wonderland, also from Taylored Expressions, in Versamark onto the green panel, and the sentiment, "May your joys be as many as the snowflakes that fall. May your heart know the Wonder of Christmas" was stamped onto Kraft cardstock and I layered it and rounded the edges with the Corner Chomper.

I cut out my mittens using the Kitchen Accessories Die and red felt and added some Baker's Twine to connect them. I layered the mittens on a circle cut from some of the Tinsel & Twig patterned paper which I layered on top of red cardstock cut with the new (and awesome) Lacey Circles Nestabilities. I added a strip of lace trim to separate the patterned paper and green cardstock.

Once again, please check out my fab SFYTT sisters to see what they have created with today's sketch!!
