Brrr....

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Today is my last Tuesday as the November Guest Muse for Mercy and her Tuesday Sketch Challenges! I have had an absolute BLAST and cannot thank Miss Mercy enough for this honor!!

For today's sketch, MTSC102, I used this ADORABLE Pure Innocence Snow Angel from My Favorite Things. I just LOVE her (or I guess it could be a him!!).

I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her coat and hat using the same pattern that I used on the card, Mitten Weather from Cosmo Cricket!

After coloring the image, I added some SU! Crystal Iris Chunky Glitter to both snowballs and the ground! I have had this glitter forever and I thought it would be sweet on this card!!

I embossed the Kraft panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and sewed all the layers on my sewing machine. The Plum Pudding bow was created using The Bow Easy.

I chose to use the "Brrr" sentiment and I cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities and layered it on Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. A few of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles under the sentiment finish this off!!

Please head on over and check out what Mercy and her Muses have created with this rockin' sketch right here:

Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG83, which is brought to us by our FABULOUS Trendie, the amazing Christine Okken!!

Christine's challenge is to create a card for kids! I thought that the awesome new set, Penguin Pals, would be PERFECT to create a Christmas card for a child!

To start, I followed our fearless leader Jessica's AWESOME post on the TSG Blog HERE, where she shows you all of the different ways this darling penguin can "carry" some of the other stamps in the set! AWESOME idea and it was hard to choose which stamp to use!

I first made a mask of my penguin by stamping him on a post it note and cutting him out. I then stamped him again in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and then put the mask over him. I then stamped the present, so that it looks like he is holding it, pulled off the mask a viola!

I colored this cutie with Copic Markers and added some Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter to the ground. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and for each snowflake falling over the image, I added one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles! It's SO super sparkly in real life!

The patterned paper is from Snow Day by Crate Paper, and I embossed the Pure Poppy panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The scalloped border was created with the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Border Die, and I added more of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to that as well. I finished this one off with a Ripe Avocado bow that I created with the Bow Easy!

We would LOVE for you to play along in today's challenge! To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card for a child then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 6). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG83 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Don't you LOVE how Jessica provided that blog post on masking? Well, head on over to the BRAND NEW TSP Tips & Tricks Blog! There is a tip/trick sheet for TSG stamps...all you have to do is click on the name of the set and you will see a Tips & Tricks sheet specifically for those stamps!! AWESOME!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Warm Wishes!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a little card I made using the super SWEET Winter Dana and Penny Puddle Jumper Digi from Lori Boyd! I LOVE her expression and cute little hairdo!

I printed her out onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her, and Penny, with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities which I layered over Jumbo Rectangle Nestabilities. I sponged VERY lightly around the focal panel with Soft Sky ink to define the image a bit, and then sewed the edge with my sewing machine.

All of the patterned paper is from Mitten Weather by Cosmo Cricket, and I kept the layout simple to showcase sweet Dana. I sewed all of the edges, and I used different stitching on the panels for some more interest. The border was created with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Border Die.

I cut out two of the snowflakes using the Die-Namics Let It Snowflake Die and layered, then attached them with a purple brad. On the top snowflake, I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles. The sentiment, "Warm Wishes", is from A Scarf For Three from My Favorite Things, and after stamping it, I cut it out using the Sentiment Flag Die from Lil' Inker.

To finish this card off, I added a Plum Pudding Bow that I created with the Bow Easy, and added lots of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the border, as well as the Jumbo Rectangle Nestabilities panel. SO fun!

I will be adding this cutie to My Etsy Store if anyone is interested!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Sending You Snow Kisses!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

You may have noticed that I am formatting my posts a bit differently, with all pictures and text centered on the screen. I am not sure if I am loving the way it looks, but I am sick of fighting with Blogger trying to get my text next to my pictures the way I want. SO frustrating!

Anywho, here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT!!! I have to admit, this one gave me a hard time (smile!)...I think the three elements on the bottom really threw me off!

For my card today, I used the ADORABLE Pure Innocence Snow Angel, and I stamped this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities which I layered over Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

The Kraft background was embossed with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder and all the patterned paper is from Snow Day by Crate Paper. The snowball and the snowflakes on the bottom, which were die cut using the Die-Namics Let It Snowflake Die, all got a coat of Crystal Stickles. I added a brad in the center of each snowflake and the border on the vertical panel was created using the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die.

Please check out what my SFYTT sisters have created with this sketch stamps, right here!
and Stephanie Muzzulin, our Fab November Designer of the Month!

Black Friday @ Taylored Expressions!!

Hi everyone! Happy Black Friday!

Are you one of those crazy shoppers that hit the stores in the wee hours of the morning? I saw a commercial that Kohls opens at 3:00 am! That is SO not for me!!

I am more of a sit in my jammies, drink a big cup of coffee and shop online kinda gal, and Taylored Expressions is making that pretty easy today!! I have TONS to tell you today about some FAB deals to be had at Taylored Expressions...here we go!!

The sale starts at 12:00 PMCST Wednesday and lasts through 12:01 am CST Tuesday! There are SO many goodies on special, including the Animals In Love stamps, which I am using today!

My card features the adorable Scotties In Love a la carte and I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I used last week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, TESC134 for my layout, but since I used a circle instead of an oval, it changed the layout up a bit. I cut out the scotties and embossed them with Circle Nestabilities which I then layered using Lacey Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment, "my soulmate" is from Animal Love Sentiments and I created a little tab for it.

The patterned paper is all from Life Is Good by Echo Park Papers and I rounded all of the corners using the Corner Chomper. I also sewed each layer and the back panel was embossed using the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Three brads in the top corner finish this one off!

You can find all of the Taylored Expressions Black Friday Deals right HERE, and here are just some of the fantastic deals to be had!

There She Goes Previews: Day Three!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday and Happy Thanksgiving!! Today is the final day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!
Today, the Trendsetters have the pleasure of showing you peeks of a GORGEOUS, vintage and classic Christmas set, Seasons Greetings! Oh...how I ADORE this set!

For my card today, I wanted an elegant look, so I pulled out some more Tinsel & Twig Patterned Paper from The Girls Paperie (LOVE this paper!). I stamped Santa in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities and framed it with Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. While the cardstock was still in the die, I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe and then, using a Copic Multi-Liner, traced around the inside edge to make a frame.

All of the layers were sewn on my sewing machine and I created the border using Die-Namics Open Scallop Border Die from MFT and I added pearls to each scallop, as well as three on the focal panel. A simple satin bow that I created with the Bow Easy was the finishing touch on this vintage Santa.

Would you like a chance to win Seasons Greetings? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Seasons Greetings posts and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Seasons Greetings post! One lucky winner will win both of these sets! Good luck!

The next stop on this hop is at the super fabulous Julie Lacey's Blog!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! The stamps sets that we have previewed for the past three days will be released on Saturday night! Hope to see you at the party on the There She Goes Forum!

There She Goes Previews: Day Two!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Today is the second day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today, the Trendsetters are sharing peeks of an AMAZING new set, my personal favorite from this release, called Penguin Pals! This set was designed by the newest artist in the There She Goes line-up, Di Carubia! This set contains a total of 16 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I had SO much fun making this card! The penguins in this set are utterly ADORABLE!! I started by stamping this Santa penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I then cut it out and embossed the image using Circle Nestabilities which I layered over Lacey Circles Nestabilities. The brim of his hat, his pompom and the ground under his feet all have a bit of Crystal Fine Martha Stewart Glitter for some bling!

The patterned paper is all from Cottage Christmas by Imaginesce and I embossed the green panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I snuck the sentiment in under the horizontal panel, and it reads "Hope Santa brings you a warm and wonderful Christmas. I added a bow of Pure Poppy Polka Dot ribbon and some white brads in opposite corners to finish it off!

Would you like a chance to win Penguin Pals? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Penguin Pals posts and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Penguin Pals post! One lucky winner will win both of these sets! Good luck!

There She Goes Preview: Day One!

Please scroll down just a smidge for my Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge Card! Thanks!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! Today is the first day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today the Trendsetters are sharing peeks of not one, but TWO fabulous new sets that will be available on Saturday, Wrapped in Joy and Just For You! Like all There She Goes stamps, I had a blast working with these two new sets!

First up is Wrapped In Joy! This set was designed by the SUPER talented Torico and includes a total of 16 stamps and will sell for $15.00. This set has DARLING little girls and you can easily use this for an everyday Birthday card, like I have here, or for a holiday card! I love when sets are versatile like that!

I stamped this sweetie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her dress with one of the patterns I used on my card, Paper Girl from The Girls Paperie. I stamped the sentiment, "Wish Big", directly onto the polka dot paper and sewed each layer on my sewing machine.

A simply Raspberry Fizz bow that I created with the Bow Easy, and four hot pink brads, one in each corner, finish this one off!

For my project using Just For You, I decided to create a tag for a bag of cookies! This was SO easy to make and I think I will make a whole bunch of these for Meredith's class this Christmas!

I started by stamping the main frame four times, twice in Pure Poppy, once in Kraft and once in Buttercream and then simply cut out the pieces and arranged them the way I wanted them. There are so many options for what you can put in the center panel, as well as the sentiment panel, but since I am in a holiday mood, I went with the sweet Gingerbread Man and the "Happy Holidays" sentiment!

This set was also designed by the amazing Torico and it includes 15 stamps and will sell for $15.00!!

Would you like a chance to win both Wrapped In Love and Just For You? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Wrapped In Joy/Just For You posts and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Wrapped In Joy/Just For You post! One lucky winner will win both of these sets! Good luck!

The next stop on this hop is at the super fabulous Julie Lacey's Blog!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I hope to see you back here tomorrow for peek at another set being released on Saturday (and it's ADORABLE!!!) as well as another chance to win!!

Cold Hands...Warm Heart!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for today's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC101! OH! I LOVE this sketch and had SO much fun!!

For my card, I started by stamping this GORGEOUS new Emma Celebrates The Season from My Favorite Things in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I think she is my favorite Emma so far...and I have them all (a bit obsessed no?).

I added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to her hat, hand warmer and the tops of her boots!! SO sparkly and fluffy (grin!) in real life!!!

All of the patterned paper is from Tinsel & Twig by The Girls Paperie, and I matted all the layers in Choice Buttercream and Black to make it all pop.

I added Black Brads from American Crafts to the two thin horizontal panels, and the sentiment, "Cold Hands Warm Heart" was stamped directly onto the patterned paper. It's really hard to see that in the photo though!!

Please head on over and check out what Mercy and her Muses have created with this rockin' sketch right here:

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

My sweet new friend Tracy Clemente and I recently swapped some images, and she sent me this ADORABLE Winter Ella Puddle Jumper designed by Lori Boyd (I LOVE her stuff!) and I couldn't wait to color her!!

Tracy stamped her for me in Memento Tuxedo Black on Papertrey White and I colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel using Rectangle Nestabilities.

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC94 for the layout, but I used a rectangle instead of a circle. I hope Karen can forgive me!!

The Kraft background was embossed using the Snowflakes Embossing Folder and the patterned paper, all from Everybody Loves Christmas by Echo Park Papers, as well as the background panel, were all sewn on my sewing machine.

The ribbon, Pure Poppy by Papertrey, was formed into a bow using the Bow Easy, and I attached a Vintage Button, also from Papertrey, on top using some Baker's Twine! This cutie was a blast to color...I think I need to get me some of these stamps!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be adding this cutie to my Etsy Store if anyone is interested!!

Oh...before I go...tomorrow night sneak peeks begin for the newest release from There She Goes and you don't want to miss a bit of it! Jessica has outdone herself again and we have four GORGEOUS new sets to show off! Hope to see you back here for that!

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String...

these are a few of my favorite things!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!

Here is my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, My Favorite Things! The challenge was to create a project inspired by the song My Favorite Things from the Sound of Music! What a fun challenge!!

My card is based on these lyrics from the song:

"Brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things"

I pulled out the DARLING Pure Innocence Presents For You from My Favorite Things and stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers, making sure to color the packages so they look like brown paper! I cut out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities and very lightly sponged the edges with Memento Desert Sand.

The patterned paper is Paper Girl from The Girls Paperie, and the layout is last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC306, although I used an oval instead of a circle. The Kraft horizontal panel was embossed with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder and I sewed each layer on my sewing machine. I used a mix of stitches a la Jody Morrow (love her!). The border was created with the Die-Namics Faux Crochet Border Die, and I also created the snowflakes with the Die-Namics Let It Snowflake Die, and I cut it from both cardstock and acetate. I attached it with a white brad!

A bow of Sweet Blush, created with the Bow Easy, as well as pink brads in opposite corners finish this one off. I stamped the sentiment, "Especially For You", also from Presents For You, was stamped directly onto the patterned paper.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be adding this cutie to My Etsy Store today if anyone is interested!!

November Blast From The Past Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

Welcome to the November Blast From The Past Blog Hop @ Taylored Expressions!!!!

This month's blog hop is all about being thankful, and it was the perfect opportunity to use this ADORABLE turkey eating Cuppie, which I think I have only used once (maybe) before!

For my card, I stamped this cute Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 3 from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored the entire image with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the image with Circles Nestabilities and layered it using the new Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

All of the patterned paper is from Toil and Trouble from The Girls Paperie, and I used the gingham pattern to paper piece Cuppie's "liner". I stamped the sentiment, "Happy Thanksgiving", from A Year of Sweet Sentiments, directly onto the patterned paper.

I created the border using the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die and I stamped the Pumpkin Pie Panel with one of the patterns from Miniature Motifs in Pumpkin Pie Ink. This stamp goes SO well with the paper! I chose to NOT sew on this card...I was afraid it would look too busy! The bow was created using the Bow Easy and I added some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, attached to the glue with Embellie Gellie, to finish this one off!

Please hop around and check out the thankful creations from the rest of the participants here!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Count Those Points!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!!

Here is a little decorated composition book that I created for...well, me!!! LOL!!

After having Avery, I realized that I had best get myself back to Weight Watchers if I have even the smallest bit of hope to fit back into some of my clothes before I have to go back to work!

As soon as I saw this ADORABLE Pure Innocence Making A List from the last My Favorite Things release, I knew she would be perfect for what I had in mind!!

I wanted a little book to keep in my bag so I can keep track of all my points. I thought she looked like she was perhaps keeping track of her points too...giggle!!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and embossed her with Oval Nestabilities. Her dress was paper pieced with one of the patterns I used on my book, which are all from Snow Day from Crate Paper!

I added a border with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Border Die, and using the Banner Day Alphabet, I spelled out "Points" on the bottom of my book! A yummy ribbon created with the Bow Easy is the only adornment on this one!!

This was SO super fun, not to mention easy, to make. Let's hope eating the correct amount of points is as painless! Wish me luck!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Whimsical Birthday Wishes for Nancy!!

PLEASE CLICK HERE OR SCROLL DOWN FOR MY MTSC100 POST! THANKS!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Today, a bunch of us girls have gotten together to wish our sweet friend Nancy a VERY Whimsical Birthday!!! Nancy is the AMAZING illustrator for the Whimsical Wishes Line at Taylored Expressions, and she is as sweet as she is talented!!!

For my card today, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from Sunday, SSSC93! I pulled out my beloved Make A Wish set from Taylored Expressions, which was illustrated by Nancy, and got to work!!

I stamped the cake and cake plate in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I added some Starfire Glitter with my Quickie Glue Pen to the star candles and the green bubbles on the bottom of the cake.

I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and layered it over a piece of Spring Moss cardstock cut with Big Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities. The Plum Pudding layer was embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and all the patterned paper is from Pixie-Licous from Cosmo Cricket. I sewed each layer on my sewing machine and stamped the sentiment, "Happy Birthday" onto the polka dot pattern. The sentiment actually reads "Happy Birthday to you" but I just inked up part of it so it would fit on my panel.

A Plum Pudding bow created with the Bow Easy, and some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles (and yes, I used the Embellie Gellie to get em' on!) finish this one off!!

Nancy, I hope you have a Birthday that is as FABULOUS as you! Happy Birthday girl!!

The next stop on this Whimsical Birthday Hop is at my AWESOME friend (and Dirty Girl!!) Jackie's Blog!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Make A Wish from Taylored Expressions

I have tons of new goodies from My Favorite Things that have been begging for some ink, and today's sketch totally screams "Pure Innocence" right???

I started with Pure Innocence Lil' Pumpkin (which looks to be out of stock @ the moment) and stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card. I colored her, and her enormous pumpkin, with Copic Markers.

Her dress was paper pieced with one of the patterns I used on my card, which are all from Snow Day by Crate Paper.

I stamped the "Happy Fall" sentiment directly onto the horizontal panel. I added a twill bow that I created with the Bow Easy, and the border is Kraft cardstock cut using the new Die-Namics Faux Crochet Die (LOVE this die!!). Three Baby Braddies finish this one off!!

Please head on over and check out what Mercy and her Muses have created with this rockin' sketch right here:

Congratulations X 3!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG81, which is a fab sketch brought to us by Holly!!!

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew just what I wanted to do!! Our friends recently had triplets (I know...can you flippin' imagine???), and my husband has been after me to make a card to send to them. This sketch was the perfect layout!!!

I started by stamping the darling onesie from Bit of Stardust from There She Goes three times in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Kraft cardstock and then twice on some Pretty In Pink SU! DSP I had, and once one Bashful Blue DSP. Obviously, they had two girls and a boy!!

I then paper pieced each onesie, and before I adhered the patterned paper, I sponged the edges very lightly with Memento Desert Sand for a bit of definition. Using my Copic Multi-Liner, I wrote their names under each onesie. The sentiment, "Congratulations", also from Bit of Stardust, was stamped on a bit of cardstock that I adhered like a little tag under the focal panel.

I used more Pretty In Pink and Bashful Blue DSP for the panels of the sketch, and the Kraft background was embossed using the Polka Dots Embossing Folder (which, if you haven't noticed, is the only one I reach for these days!). I added two Pretty In Pink and one Bashful Blue brads to the bottom corner in the same color order as the onesies, and the bow was created with the Bow Easy!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the provided sketch then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Let It Snow!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Here is a card I created using yesterday's sketch at The Sweet Stop, SSS82!!

I have been feeling very Christmas-y now that Halloween has past, and it seems that I want to make holiday/winter cards all the time!!!

For my card today, I used this sweet snowman Cuppie from the Home Sweet Home set from Taylored Expressions! Isn't he so cute? LOVE him!!

I stamped Cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I paper pieced his Cuppie "liner" with one of the same patterns that I used on my card, which are both from Everybody Loves Christmas from Echo Park Papers. I cut him out and embossed him with Circle Nestabilities which I then layered onto cardstock cut with Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

The sentiment, "Let It Snow", also from Home Sweet Home, was cut out and embossed using the smallest tag from the Tags Trio by Spellbinders and I tucked it under the bow that I created using The Bow Easy.

I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles both to the sentiment tag as well as to the polka dot panel on the card. I adhered them to glue using the Embellie Gellie...love this stuff!!! The background was embossed using the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and I sewed each layer with my sewing machine. All of the panels are popped up on Foam Tape for dimension.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be adding this cutie to my Etsy Store if anyone is interested!!

Have A Jolly Holiday!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT), which is sponsored by Sparkle Creations!!

I already have a few of Sparkle's stamps in my collection, and I was so excited to be able to add one more! My card today features the darling Holiday Emily and she was SO much fun to color!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I added some Smooch Illuminate to the bell to make it shimmer, and the berries in her hair, the white parts of her dress and shoes and her big green bow all received a coat of Crystal Fine Martha Stewart Glitter. She is SUPER sparkly in real life!!!

The patterned paper is all from Cottage Christmas from Imaginesce, and I sewed all the panels on my sewing machine. I added two white brads on the bottom left hand corner...I think brads just may be my most favorite embellishment!!

The sentiment, "Have a Jolly Holiday" is from the brand new Emma Celebrates the Season from My Favorite Things and I thought it was perfect with this image. I cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities and layered it onto Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

Please check out what my SFYTT sisters have created with this sketch, and Sparkle Creations stamps, right here!

What's Cooking?

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Here is a card I created for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, "Cooking Up Some Love", which was to create a project with a cooking, kitchen, food etc type theme!!

I was SO excited to be able to ink up one of the newest a la modes, What's Cooking from My Favorite Things! I LOVE the entire line of a la modes...I wish I was that skinny!!

I stamped this sweetie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. All the patterned paper on my card is Paper Girl from The Girls Paperie, and I paper pieced the mixing bowl and part of her apron with the same patterns.

The layout is pretty much last week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS81, although I flipped it and moved the sentiment panel.

I sewed each layer on my sewing machine, and created the border with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Border Die. I think this may be my go-to Die-Namic...it always looks good on a card! I added three black brads (they were actually some Brocade Blue Brads that I colored with a black marker...I do that alot...it's a great way to use up all of the random colored brads in my stash!) and decided against adding a ribbon.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I will be adding this cutie to my Etsy Store if anyone is interested!!

Bon Voyage!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!

I was commisioned to make a card for someone that will be going on a cruise, and there is no cuter image and sentiment than from the Pure Innocence Are We There Yet set from My Favorite Things!!

I started by stamping this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and embossed her using Oval Nestabilities, and I sponged the edges with Soft Sky ink to define it a bit.

The paper is all from On Holiday from The Girls Paperie, which I found at Live To Scrapbook (which I found via Jody Morrow...she is quite an enabler!) and I have to say, their prices are awesome and the shipping was super fast too!

I used the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die to create the two rows of scallops and all the layers were sewn on my sewing machine. The sentiment, "Bon Voyage" was cut out and tucked under a Soft Sky bow that I created with the Bow Easy. I added three pink brads (with white circles underneath them) to the top right corner and called it done!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is a card I created for this week's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG80! The challenge was brought to us by the Trendsetter of the Week, the amazing Angela, and her challenge is to create a scene!!

There She Goes stamps really lend themselves to scene making, but I kept my scene really simple! I started by stamping the snowman and puppy from the newly released (and totally ADORABLE) Snowy Days and then masked it. I stamped the largest tree from Penguin Love three times behind the snowman and puppy, thus, creating a sweet winter scene!

I colored the entire scene with Copic Markers and then cut it out and embossed it using Square Nestabilities. I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to certain parts of the trees, the snowman and the "ground" for some sparkle. I love these Stickles because they aren't super shiny when it dries and it really has a cool look!

The layout is last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC305. The patterned paper is all from Everybody Loves Christmas by Echo Park Papers and I sewed each layer on my sewing machine. The Classic Red panel was stamped repeatedly with one of the snowflakes from Snowy Days using Real Red Ink.

The border was created with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die and the sentiment, which is normally horizontal, was stamped so that the words stacked on top of each other (does that even make any sense?) and then cut and embossed with Circle Nestabilities and layered with Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. I sponged the edges of the sentiment panel, as well as the focal panel, with Soft Sky ink.

A bow of red grosgrain, created with the Bow Easy, and some white brads in the top left corner finish this card off! This was SO fun to make!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the provided sketch then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (11-15-10). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

You're My Cup Of Tea!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC99!!! Gosh...it felt SO good to stamp! My little Avery hasn't really let me stamp for the past few days!!

Mercy has created yet another AWESOME sketch, and like all of her sketches, I had a blast with this!!

For my card, I used the newly released From The Heart and From The Heart Funnies from Taylored Expressions! From The Heart has SO many cute images, it was hard to choose which one I wanted to use! I finally decided on this darling tea kettle, and the sentiment, "You're My Cup Of Tea", from From The Heart Funnies, was a no brainer!!

I cut out a piece of Classic Red using the newly released (and SUPER fun) From The Heart Frame Die, also from Taylored Expressions. I then, using Circle Nestabilities, cut out the next layers. I stamped the sentiment ring that states "a special brew just for you" onto Herbal Garden Light in Memento Tuxedo Black and added two red Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, and of course, I attached them with the help of the Embellie Gellie!

The tea kettle was stamped onto Choice Buttercream and cut out with Circle Nestabilities. I colored it with Copic Markers and sponged the edges lightly with Memento Cantaloupe.

The patterned paper is all from Seaside by October Afternoon (YUM!) and I sewed all the layers using my sewing machine. I added a border of Classic Red using my much beloved Scalloped Eyelet Border Die to one edge.

I created a little flag for my sentiment and attached it to my card, anchoring it with a piece of Classic Red cardstock cut with the tea kettle die from the Kitchen Accessories Dies from Taylored Expressions (these are so adorable!).

I layered a Cream Jenni Bowlin Vintage Button on top and of course, I added a bow of Baker's Twine (just LOVE this stuff!). Another two red Twinkles in the top right corner finish this one off!! All of the elements on my card are popped up using Foam Tape.

Please head on over and check out what Mercy and her Muses have created with this rockin' sketch right here:
