Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
I am SO excited about today's post! I've created my project for this months MFT Creative Challenge, Die-Namics Home Decor! Now...you all know I am not too much of an alter-er, but I had SO much fun with this!!
I found this simple oval wood frame at my local Michaels recently and thought it would be perfect to showcase one of the sentiments from one of my MFT sets! I chose to work with the BEAUTIFUL WTG My How You've Grown set, and make this a little gifty for my Mom.I am SO excited about today's post! I've created my project for this months MFT Creative Challenge, Die-Namics Home Decor! Now...you all know I am not too much of an alter-er, but I had SO much fun with this!!
The focus of my frame is the beautiful sentiment, "Just when a Mother thinks her work is done, she becomes a Grandmother", and I stamped it and then cut it out and layered it with the Die-Namics Layered Label Die. The patterned paper inside the frame is Babies to Brides from Graphic 45 and I painted the frame with some acrylic paint to match. I added a heart and button combo using the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die and the Die-Namics Button Quartet. A bit of twine is tied around the button.
I LOVE the detail on the frame, which is really the entire project! I created three felt roses using the Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die (LOVE this die!) and tons of felt leaves using the leaves from the new Die-Namics Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die. I attached the flowers to the frame with a hot glue gun and then tucked in some rhinestone swirls for a bit of bling. After the bling was on, I then went back and attached the leaves, again with a hot glue gun.
I really LOVE how this came out...and I have a feeling that my Mom will love it too!
Here are the Die-Namics that I've used on my project today:
Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers that have participated in the challenge today! I can't WAIT to see what they have all done with their Die-Namics!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
