Sweet 16!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!

My Goddaughter is turning 16 (can't even believe that!) at the end of this month so I sat down nice and early (SO not typical of me) to create her card.

I am LOVING the new Sassy & Sweet set from My Favorite Things, and I knew I wanted to use it to create her Birthday card. I was SO inspired (as always) by the wonderful Jody Morrow and how she added a bit of "oomph" to the leopard pattern from this set (you can see her post HERE). LOVE that idea and couldn't wait to try it myself.

I also used a new embossing folder, Animal Prints from Sizzix, that I picked up on a recent trip to a stamp store with my pals Karen & Ann. I was SO excited about these and I bought them specifically to go with this stamp set. I see that Jody also used this on her card...how awesome is she (must be something about the name...lol!)?

I used last week's sketch from The Sweet Stop for my layout, SSS98 and went with a very "leopard" color combo of Black, Kraft, Chocolate and Cream.

For the focal panel, I've used the AWESOME Die-Namics Sweet Stack Dies. I LOVE these SO much! When inking up the sentiment, I only inked up "sweet" and then, using the Banner Day Alphabet, added in the 16. Some rhinestone flourishes add a bit of bling!

I've finished off the inside as well, with a similar look, but this time, I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from More Essential Sentiments. LOVE this set...it really is SO essential!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
