MFTeasers: Day Three!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  Today is the 3rd day of MFTeasers for the newest release from My Favorite Things which is available on Tuesday, August 2 after the release party!  Today is always a favorite day of MFTeasers...it's Pure Innocence Day!

I am SUPER excited about this month's Pure Innocence sets...two of them, Pure Innocence Karate Boy and Pure Innocence Girl (I have a project with her coming up on Tuesday), were concepted by yours truly, and I am just in LOVE with them!  My oldest, Meredith, takes Tae Kwon Do, and I plan on using these sets ALOT!

For my first card today, I am sharing Pure Innocence Karate Boy!  Isn't he SO cute?  I LOVE how he is mid-kick!  I colored him with Copic Markers and then "fussy" cut him out and popped him up with Jody Boosters.  The patterned paper is Dots & Stripes from Echo Park Papers, and I used both the Metropolitan Collection and the Candy Shoppe Collection.

I used the AWESOME Say What? Die-Namics for the word bubble and stamped "Pow Pow" in that.  I used the sentiment, "Have a kickin' birthday" and cut it out with one of the banners from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  Tons of stars cut with the Stacking Stars Die-Namics add some pop, as well as anchoring the sentiment flag.  The card base is the delish Orange Fizz cardstock...yum!

On the inside, I added some more patterned paper, stamped this cutie again in Pumpkin Pie, and added "Pow Pow" again!  So fun!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

For my second card, I used the GORGEOUS new Pure Innocence Sunflower Girl.  I colored her with Copic Markers and then cut the panel out with Oval Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is Sunshine Broadcast from Sassafras.  The sentiment, "Make Today A Beautiful Day" was stamped and then cut out with the new Bracket Tab Die-Namics (this is a must have imho) and I added some delish ribbon from my pal Corinna's store.  Some stitching and brads finish her off!

The inside features some more patterned paper, as well as another sentiment from this darling set, "A Cloudy Day Is No Match For A Sunny Disposition".  Love that.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!  Today is the 2nd day of MFTeasers for the latest release from My Favorite Things!  Today, the a la modes are up to bat!

There are two GORGEOUS new a la modes being released on Tuesday, August 2, The a la modes in I Spy and The a la modes in Bundle of Baby!  Today, I decided to work with The a la modes in Bundle of Baby as we have friends that just had a little boy and I really need to get them a card pronto.

I stamped her, colored her with Copic Markers and the "fussy" cut her out.  I popped her up with Jody Boosters onto a panel cut with a new Die-Namics set that we are sharing on Monday, which I embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I added the sentiment, "Congratulations", also from this new a la mode set, and cut it out with the new Bracket Tab Die-Namics (oooh...love!).

All of the patterned paper is Odds & Ends from Cosmo Cricket, and I used one of the patterns to create the flower along with the AWESOME Retro Rolled Flower Die-Namics.  This flower is SO fun and has already become a favorite in my stamp room!  Before attaching it to my card, I added a flourish cut with the Fancy Flourish Die-Namics, which I also love, and I added a button/twine combo to the center of the flower.  A bit of crocheted lace trim, and tons of sewing, complete the front.

For the inside, some more patterned paper appears, as well as the silhouette of this new little sweetie along with another sentiment, "He's Here!".  SO super cute no?

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!  Today is Day 1 of MFTeasers for My Favorite Things!!!  Can I get a WOOT WOOT???

OMG...I am SO super excited about this release (which, of course, I am every single month)...and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the set we are sharing with you today...the fabulous (and totally essential imho) By The Numbers Die-Namics and Stamp Set!  SWOOOOOOOOOON!!

Sigh...number Die-Namics....AMAZING no?  I seriously needed these in my stamping arsenal.  I started out with this week's MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC30 for the layout.  I stamped "Look Who's Turning" in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Sour Apple Cardstock, and I then I stamped the polka dot stamp from this set in Brocade Blue ink onto a piece of Blueberry Sky Cardstock and then cut it out with the By The Numbers Die-Namics.  I popped the number six up on Jody Boosters onto a circle panel that I embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

The scallops were cut from patterned paper, Beach Bum from Fancy Pants, using the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics and wrapped some Lemon Drop Baker's Twine around the panel.  I added some stars cut with the Stacking Stars Die-Namics and added tons of machine stitching and some silver pearls.  The card base is the DELISH Wild Cherry Cardstock.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, a plain panel for a handwritten message, and then, using the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics, created a panel for the "It's Your Day" sentiment, also from By The Numbers.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

There She Goes Previews: Zoo-pendous!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

Did you make your way here by way of my dear friend Jessie's Blog (love her!)?  If so, perfect!  If not, please head on over to the There She Goes Blog to start this hop at the beginning!
Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice. She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!

OK...seriously, this card was SO much fun to create!  I started by stamping this ADORABLE giraffe (omg...isn't he SO cute?), colored him with Copic Markers and then cut him out.  I created the cloud background and then die cut the tree with the Teardrop Tree Die-Namics.  I LOVE how perfectly sized this is and how it works with my sweet little giraffe.  I also die cut some grass with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-Namics and then built up my scene.

The sentiment, "Wild About You" was cut with the File Tab Die-Namics and then attached to the side of my focal panel.  The panel on which I built my scene is the only layer...I simply attached it to a card base of Kraft cardstock.  A simple bit of Cappuccino Baker's Twine finishes this off.  This is one of those cards I am not sure I could part with!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.  Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  The next stop on this wild hop is at the fabulous Karen Giron's Blog (love her too!).

You're So Tweet!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!
It's week 30 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fabulous sketch for you this week...take a gander at MFTWSC30!

For my card, I decided to ink up the SUPER cute Pure Innocence You're So Tweet from My Favorite Things.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with some of the same papers I've used on the rest of the card, It's The Little Things from Fancy Pants Designs.  I then cut her out and popped her up onto a circle element that I embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

I created the three rows of scallops with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics and the flower was created with the Pretty Posies Die-namics and I added a wood button to the center threaded with a bit of Charcoal Baker's Twine.  TONS of stitching (which I am SO not crazy about...hate when that happens) and some DELISH new ribbon from my friend Corinna's store, The Ribbon Carousel, complete the front.

For the inside, I added some more of the same patterned paper, more stitching (blech) and the sentiment, "You're So Tweet" is stamped on and layered with both the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics and the larger circle is from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC30 for a chance to win this weeks prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, August 2 to play along.  Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.

Have A Slammin' Birthday!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!!

Here is a card I created using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from a few weeks ago, SSSC125!  I hadn't yet inked up this ADORABLE new stamp from Taylored Expressions, Moka Justin, and I thought this sketch would be perfect with him!

In case you were wondering, the answer is yes!  Moka Justin was inspired by none other than the "Biebs" himself...Justin Bieber!  I LOVE his stylin' ensemble!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I then fussy cut him out (I am really into cutting out my images lately) and popped him up with Foam Tape onto a panel of patterned paper.  All of the papers are Lime Twist Out Of The Blue from My Minds Eye.

The grey circle panel was run through my Big Shot with the Stars Impression Plate for a bit of texture (love that!) and I created a little sentiment flag for the sentiment, "Have a slammin' Birthday" and anchored it with some stars cut with the Seeing Stars Die.  A few silver pearls on the circle panel, and one by the stars, complete the embellies.

I did add a border with the Small Scallop Border Die in between the patterns, but you can't see it all that well.  I also stitched all of the panels on my sewing machine.

Here are the Taylored Dies I used on my card today:

Happiness Always!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!

I was asked by some of my office mates to create a card for one of their co-workers who moved to California and is getting married this week.  The bride (and I'm sure the groom...although I've never met him) is a SUPER cool chick and she is all about the goth & skulls look!

As soon as they asked me to create a card for the happy couple, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do!  I headed on over to Tiddly Inks and purchased this awesome Happy Couple Digi Stamp (along with a few others just for me!) and printed them out onto Neenah Classic Crest White (this is my preferred paper when using digis).

I colored them with Copic Markers and then cut them out with Rectangle Nestabilities.  I gave the veil and her tiara a coating of Crystal Glitter.  The patterned paper is from SU! and I cannot, for the life of me, remember the name (I've been out of the SU! scene for so long now...it's all a blur), and it is PERFECT for this couple!  The layout is this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC342.  I added tons of machine stitching, and the sentiment, "Happiness Always" is from Happy Thoughts from My Favorite Things.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I started by stamping this ADORABLE cake eating Cuppie from Sweet Celebration in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and cut him out with Square Nestabilities.  He is colored with Copic Markers and the panel is layered onto a panel cut with Scallop Square Nestabilities.

All of the patterned paper is from Paisley Parade from KI Memories, and the border was created with the Medium Scallop Border Die.   I created a little flag for the sentiment, "You Take The Cake" and anchored it to me card with a flower I created using the Friendship Blooms Die.  I then added a button on top of the flower for a fun accent.  All of the elements are popped up with Foam Tape for added dimension.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

My ♥ Belongs To MFT!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

Today the MFT Designers are showing their team spirit with an award ribbon made using My Heart Belongs To...  This is an amazing companion set to our First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, that is available exclusively during the CHA Supershow.

Since not all of you are attending, we are excited to offer you the opportunity to earn our CHA-exclusive stamp set, My Heart Belongs To... for FREE!

Here are the details:
From July 19th, 10pm EST through July 24th, or as long as supplies last.
With an order of $50 or greater, we will include the CHA-exclusive stamp set, My Heart Belongs To..., with your order.
My Heart Belongs To... is available to the first 500 orders over $50 during the promotional period.
Your order must require shipping (digital-only orders will not qualify).

I know you won't be surprised when I tell you how much fun I had making this!  My Heart Belongs To... is a MUST have set...especially if you ♥ MFT like I do!
I started out some Black Licorice Cardstock and cut it with the 3/8 Rosette Die-Namics for the base of my ribbon.   I then added two panels cut with the scallop die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics out of Bubblegum Cardstock and I cut a slit between each scallop.  Before attaching them together for more "poofiness", I stamped both panels in Pretty In Pink ink using the "MFT" stamp from My Heart Belongs To...
The next layer, cut from Whip Cream Cardstock (omg...have you tried this cardstock...delish!), was cut with the circle from the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics.  The final circle, cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, was cut from Fossil Cardstock and I stamped the frame in Whisper White Craft ink.  I then stamped " My...belongs to MFT" in Versamark and embossed it with black embossing powder.  For the ♥, I cut My Favorite Felt in Strawberry Ice Cream using the Notched Tag Die-Namics and then attached it to my sentiment panel along with a little crystal.  Three crystals underneath the sentiment finish off that panel.
For the ribbons, I cut them using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics again, and cut them from Bubblegum and Fossil cardstock.  On the Bubblegum panels, I again stamped "MFT" in Pretty In Pink, and on the Fossil panels, I stamped MFT in Versamark and embossed them with black embossing powder.  I added a crystal between each "MFT" on the ribbons as well.  The entire thing was finished off with a pin backing.  SO fun!!
Being I am not at CHA this summer (sob!), I wonder who is rockin' my ribbon!  Can't wait to see those CHA pics on Facebook!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to the July Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Sending You Sunshine and the wonderful Sankari has created a fabulous sketch for us to use (optionally) and I just LOVE it!

Oh!  This card was SO fun to create!  Now, you'll notice that I don't have any "sunshine", per se, on my card...but these little bees, and their beehive, I think, just scream sunshine and fun!

I started by stamping the beehive from Garden Party Critters in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers.  I cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and then added some "sprigs" of grass with Copic Markers as well.  The patterned paper, which could not be more perfect with these images, is Country Drive from Echo Park Papers.  The Kraft and yellow panels of cardstock were run through my Big Shot with the AMAZING Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate...doesn't it look like a honeycomb?  LOVE that!!!  (Not sure what sandwich to use with your Taylored Dies and Impression Plates?  Click HERE).

The borders were cut from Choice Snow White Cardstock using the Small Scallop Border Die.  I stamped three bees, again in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored them with Copic Markers, cut them out and then popped them up on Foam Tape over different parts of the hive.  Tons of machine stitching, black gingham ribbon and bow (created with The Bow Easy) and Black Brads finish this one off.  The sentiment, "Don't Worry Bee Happy" is also from Garden Party Critters.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:
