Love Makes The World Go 'Round {and Own Your Story Blog Candy Re-Draw}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  It's week 27 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week...MFTWSC27!

For my card, I flipped the sketch because I REALLY wanted to use this SUPER cute new PI, Pure Innocence PI & The Pinwheel from My Favorite Things!  She is TOTALLY adorable, no?  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  Her shorts and top were paper pieced with the same papers I used on the card, Hip Hip Hooray from My Minds Eye.

The sentiment, "Love Makes The World Go 'Round" was cut out with the banner from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, and I anchored it to my card with a poofy flower cut with the Pretty Posies Die-Namics.  I added a sweet paper button cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics in the center and added a bit of Baker's Twine as well.  Though it's pretty much covered up, I did add a border with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics, and finished off the front with oodles of machine stitching and two red brads.

The inside features some more patterned paper (love this blue stripe pattern) as well as this cutie stamped again in Real Red, with another sentiment, "Happy Summer".

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC27 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, July 12th to play along.

I didn't hear from the original winner of my Own Your Story Stamp Set AND Die-Namics Die winner, so I did a redraw with random.org and....

RACHEL...come on down!  You WIN!  PLEASE email me at jc511 at optonline dot net with your address so I can get this out to you!

Very cute, Jodi. Takes me back (quite) a few years when I was that age and those pinwheels were in every five and dime store. Good times!
