70!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!!

Here is a card I created for my Aunt, who will be celebrating her 70th Birthday this September.  She is a pretty trendy chic, so I thought that this darling a la mode in Cheers from My Favorite Things would be perfect for her card!

I started with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC346.  It was perfect for this image!  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut out the panel and then drew a frame around the edge with a Copic Multliner.

Her dress was paper pieced with one of the patterns I used on my card, which are all from A Happy Heart, part of the Six by Six Collection from My Minds Eye.  I think I am IN LOVE...which is a good thing since every single one of their new pads are either in my stamp room or on their way to my stamp room.  It's a sickness {shakes head}.

On either side of the polka dot panel I added a border using the Open Bracket Border Die layered over the Solid Bracket Border Die.  I love to use these together for a finished look.  I added tons of machine stitching as well as three brads in the top corner.  To add some extra pop to her bubbly, I add some shimmer with a Sakura Gel Pen, and then gave the entire glass, including the stem, a coat of Glossy Accents.

Here is a closeup of my "70" panel.  I cut the circles with both the circles from the 1st Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics and the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics.  I LOVE how these layer perfectly.  I cut the 70 out with the By The Numbers Die-Namics and then stamped the zebra pattern from By The Numbers onto them with Memento Tuxedo Black.  SO fun no?

For the inside, I could not bear to not use the scraps of this delish new paper, so I layered them together and stitched them up.  I then added a sentiment from The a la modes in Cheers, "Time for the big girl bubbles" onto panels cut with the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
