Taylored Expressions August Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!  Welcome to the Taylored Expressions August Blast From The Past Blog Hop!!

This month, our theme is "Collectors Anonymous", and as soon as I saw that this was the theme, I had an idea of what I wanted to create.  I started with the FABULOUS sketch that our FABULOUS Sankari designed for the hop.  It's a good one!!

When I think of stamping, I immediately think of collecting.  I am sure I am not alone when I say that part of the fun of our hobby is the actual collecting, or purchasing, of stamps and supplies.  I seriously have SO much paper that if I were to make 100 cards a day for the next 20 years I still wouldn't be able to use it all...but that doesn't stop me from getting more!

So for my card today, I went with a "shopping aka collecting" theme!  I started with some wonderful Authentique papers, Blissful.  I love these trendy color combos!  Using the Shopping Bag and Labels Die, I cut out and created the little shopping bag.  I used the same dies to create the label on my bag, and the frame is from It's In The Bag

I stamped TE, because, of course, Taylored Expressions is one of my most favorite places to shop, using the You're My Type Lower Alphabet.  The "tissue paper" was stamped again with a stamp from It's In The Bag, and I stamped it onto a piece of patterned paper, cut it out, shaded it with a Copic Marker, and then added it to the bag.

The sentiment, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is from Moka and I stamped it onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and then cut it into a little flag.  I added three punched circles and then added three yellow rhinestones on top, and I also added tons of machine stitching.  The border between the patterns was cut with the Small Scallop Border Die.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
