Match Made In Heaven!

**Please scroll down a smidge or click HERE for my MFTeaser! Thanks! **

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Here is a super sweet Valentine I created this weekend! I ADORE Cuppie, as you all know, and I hadn't used this darling image from A Year of Sweets from Taylored Expressions in what seems like forever!

I stamped these cuties in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I added some Starfire Glitter to the clouds, Cuppie Cupid's wings and the hearts.

I cut out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities and then sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe to make it pop.

I created the three layers of scallops using the fabulous Medium Scallop Border Die and after I had them adhered, I just "fluffed" them up a bit for more definition. The patterned paper is all from Love Birds by Fancy Pants, and I added a nice big bow that I created using the Bow Easy.

Here is the Taylored Die I've used on my card today:

Do you love Cuppie as much as I do? I would LOVE for you to come and stamp with me at Stamping Around New Hampshire, March 4-5! I will be teaching a class sponsored by Taylored Expressions and would love to meet and stamp with you!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Taylored Expressions peeks start tomorrow...hope to see you back here for them!!

MFTeasers: Day Four!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday! Today is the fourth day of MFTeasers and I am having SO much fun previewing all the new sets and Die-Namics!!

Today, I am sharing with you the SUPER adorable Enjoy Every Moment set! How CUTE is she??? I just LOVE these little gals...super fun to color and paper piece as well!

For my card today, I pulled out some papers from a year of so ago, Delightful from My Minds Eye. I always loved this collection and I thought that the sweet colors and fun patterns would work well with this little cutie.

I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card (I ADORE this paper when coloring with Copics) and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her dress with the polka dot pattern...so sweet. I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged the edges. This panel, and the rest of the card, were sewn on my sewing machine.

I added a sentiment to the front, "You're Too Cute" and cut it out and layered it with Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. The scallops on the bottom were created with the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallops Die. I added a nice big bow and some Bakers Twine, along with some Baby Braddies to finish it off.

I decorated the inside too with a simple panel of patterned paper, another border created with the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallops Die and used another sentiment from the set, "Being each day with a smile".

MFTeasers: Day Three!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! I am CERTAIN you are as excited about today's previews as I am...it's time to show you some of the new Pure Innocence stamp sets being released on Tuesday, February 1, 2011!! WOOT!

I limited myself to two cards for this post...otherwise I feel like you all have to keep scrolling...and scrolling...and scrolling. But don't worry...I have been stamping up a storm and have cards to come with all of the new PI's!

My first card today features the OH SO ADORABLE Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses! Though it's hard to pick a favorite, she may just be my favorite PI from this release (until I get to the next card and say it again! LOL!).

I've used this week's MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC4 again for my layout. I love this sketch and I find that it really lends itself to the sweet PI's. She is colored with Copic Markers and I cut her out (I believe people call that "fussy cutting", although I am not certain) and gave her wings a coat of glitter. I popped her up on foam tape on top of Circle Nestabilities which I layered over Kraft Cardstock cut with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily Die.

I created a little popped up sentiment flag for the sentiment, "Sending Butterfly Kisses" and I added two butterflies cut from the brand new Die-Namics Butterflies Dies, also being released on February 1st!! LOVE them!! The patterned paper is Tickled Pink from MME and I added some stitching and bling.

I used more of the same patterned paper inside the card, stamped this cutie again in Pink Pirouette, and then added another sentiment, "Spread Your Wings and Fly". I added a border with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily Border to be cohesive with the front of the card. LOVE how the patterns match on the dies.

For my second card today, I've used the January SFTYY sketch again. I really LOVE this sketch...and just wait until you see the February sketch...LOVE!

On this card, I've used the DELIGHTFUL Pure Innocence You're So Tweet, and she truly is! I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. The patterned paper is Indie Girl from Sassafrass Lass and I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged the edges.

I added a cluster of flowers and leaves cut with the Die-Namics Flower and Leaf Trio Die and added a silver brad in the center of each flower. To anchor my sentiment to the card, "A little birdie told me", I attached it with a double button cut with the Die-Namics Button Quartet Die and I tied them together with a piece of twine. Two borders cut with the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip were also added.

The inside of the card carries over the sentiment with "You're So Tweet", and I stamped her again in Marina Mist and added some more of the same patterned paper and another border. Stitching on the front and back sews this one up (groan!).

  • The MFT release is on February 1st at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on February 1st at 10 PM EST.

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Today is the second day of Teasers for the AWESOME new My Favorite Things release coming your way on Tuesday, February 1!

I ADORE the set I've used today...meet Flopsey - Smooth Sailing! Isn't he SOOOOOOO super cute? LOVE him!

I had SO much fun making this card, and yes, I am aware that I say that about every card (I can't help it that it's a FUN hobby! LOL!). I started by stamping Flopsey and coloring him with Copic Markers. I then created the waves using the AWESOME new Die-Namics Catch A Wave Die (LOVE) out of patterned paper (Little Boy by Echo Park Papers). Once I had the waves adhered, I cut out and embossed the entire panel with Circle Nestabilities. I did add some sponging for definition.

I added a few clouds cut from MFT Felt using the new Die-Namics Flat Bottom Cloud Die (LOVE) and attached them with Foam Tape. I added a border using my beloved Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip Die and stamped the sentiment, "If you want to know how much I love you..." directly onto the patterned paper.

For the inside of my card, I finished off the sentiment with "count the waves" which I stamped both in Memento Tuxedo Black and also in Memento Bahama Blue that I stamped off once before stamping. I added another border created with the Die-Namics Catch A Wave Die and of course, some stitching inside and out.

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! Welcome to the first day of MFT Teasers! This release is OUT of control fabulous!! I can't even WAIT for you to see all the new stamps and Die-Namics being released!!! Shall we get started?

Today, I have peeks of TWO amazing sets to share with you, The Great Outdoors and Fred Bear Out West!

I was SO inspired by the new Great Outdoors set, not to mention the new Die-Namics that are PERFECT with this set!! I created a SUPER simple little set of cards using only the sentiments in the set and Die-Namics! I created three and they are all 3.5 X 3.5.

Here is a picture of all three of them together...they make me happy!

For the first card, and my personal favorite of all three, I used the sentiment, "Behind the clouds, the sun is still shining" and I used the Die-Namics Sunshine Die and the brand new, and totally FABULOUS Die-Namics Flat Bottom Cloud Die. LOVE.THESE.CLOUDS.

For the second card, I used the beautiful sentiment, "We can't all be stars, but we can all twinkle" and created the stars with the Die-Namics Stacking Stars Die.

For the last card in the grouping, I used the "Go fly a kite" sentiment (LOVE) and the brand new Die-Namics Fly A Kite Die (LOVE), along with the Die-Namics Clouds. Isn't that kite FAB? Totally love it!

The second set I get to share with you today is everyone's favorite bear, Fred! This time, Fred hits the West in Fred Bear Out West. I had ALOT of fun creating this cutie!

I started by stamping, masking and stamping the cactus from this set onto X Press It Blending Card and colored them with Copic Markers. I then added Fred to the mix and colored him with Copic Markers too.

The patterned paper is Crate Paper Restoration and I added a crimped corner to the focal panel ala the fabulous Inge. I added a twine lasso (this was fun!) and created a little Wanted poster for Fred to hold. Some lace, machine stitching and brads finish the front of this one off.

For the inside, I used more of the same patterned paper, and added the SUPER fun sentiment, "You Spin My Spurs". A border created with the Die-Namics Star Border complete this one.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a list of all the designers previewing new sets today!

Happy Birthday Princess Bond!

** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN JUST A SMIDGE, OR CLICK HERE, FOR MY THERE SHE GOES PEEK. THANKS!! **

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!

Today, a whole fabulous big group of stampers have gotten together to wish our super AWESOME friend Wendy Bond a big, Happy Birthday! I {heart} Wendy, and I couldn't wait to make a card to celebrate her special day!

Did you make your way here from my sweet friend Dana's Blog? You know...the one with the funny Canadian accent, eh? LOL! If so, perfect! If not, please head on over to our Birthday Blog Hop Organizer Expert, the amazing Karen's Blog (who is also my sweet friend and also has a funny Canadian accent)!

It's no surprise that my card for Bond features an MFT stamp. Both Bond and I {heart} MFT so that was a no brainer!

I started by stamping the sweet Pure Innocence Birthday Princess in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. Her crown and the candles on her cake were shimmered up with some Crystal Glitter. I cut out and embossed the panel with Oval Nestabilities and added oodles of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles all around the edge.

Her dress was paper pieced with the same papers I've used on the rest of the card, Be Mine by Echo Park Papers. I added a border with my much beloved Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip (I swear, I think I use this on almost every card) and added a fun paper heart/button combo detail using the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die and the Die-Namics Button Quartet Die. I tied a little piece of black bakers twine through the paper button. Love.

I added a nice big black stitched bow, and layered up the sentiment so it was able to fit in the Circle Nestabilities. Hmmm...come to think of it, this PI girl would be more up Bond's alley if she were holding a bottle of wine (Oh Kim.....).

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

The next stop on this Bond Celebrating Birthday Hop is at the super sweet, and so ridiculously talented, Linda Heavens's Blog!

Bond, Wendy Bond, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Birthday that is every bit as fabulous as you are! Have a glass of vino...or two, and celebrate!!! MWAH!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

The first set we are sharing with you today is a DELIGHTFUL set illustrated by the amazing Torico, Day or Night! I had SO much fun making this card...the stamps in this set are AWESOME!

Like I did on my card on Tuesday, I stamped the images (the house, sun and clouds are all separate), masked them and then created the cloud background, this time sponging them with Soft Sky using a cloud template.

I then colored the house. grass and sun with Copic Markers. The patterned paper is, once again, True Blue from My Minds Eye...I am really loving this paper!

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper and then added some stitching, brads and ribbon!

The second set we are sharing with you today is a GORGEOUS new sentiment set featuring the handwriting of our very own Julie Lacey!

I ALWAYS need thank you cards in my stash, and I must tell you, I ADORE the sentiments in this set! I can't wait for you to see them all!

I kept this card SUPER simple and let the sentiment do all the work. The patterned paper is Schoolhouse from October Afternoon and I added a bow and some bling to make it pop!

What Sunflowers Do!

** This is my THIRD post today...please scroll down or click HERE for my There She Goes Peek or HERE for my MFT Sketch card. Thanks! **

Here is a card I created using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge from this past Sunday, SSSC101. This was one of those cards that came out exactly how I pictured it in my head...love that.

There is absolutely NO Copic coloring on this card...hard to believe I know! It was SO fun, and super fast, to make too!

I started by stamping this GORGEOUS quote from Helen Keller, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It' what sunflowers do", from the GORGEOUS Faith & Hope set from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and then cut it out and embossed the panel with Petite Oval Nestabilities. I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo to define it.

Using the Leafy Branch Die, I cut out the leaves and tucked them under the focal panel. I stamped the sunflowers from Friendship Blooms three times in Marigold Morning onto Choice Buttercream and then cut them out using the Friendship Blooms Die. I added some Coffee Bean Sparkly Fluff to the centers with a Quickie Glue Pen. SO easy and it adds such a nice texture.

The patterned paper is from Seaside from October Afternoon and I layered it onto a Kraft base with Foam Tape (all the elements are also popped up with Foam Tape). I added a strip of lace trim and some little pearls to opposite corners and called it done. This is about as CAS as I get :)

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today. For all the details about the amazing Taylored Dies and how they work, please click HERE.
