I have two new sets to share with you today...and first up is one of the newest additions to the Moka Collection at Taylored Expressions!  This collection is wildly popular, and today I get to share Moka Taylor with you!  Each set in the Moka Collection comes on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel and they are designed and illustrated by the amazing Nancy McKinney!  This Moka was Taylor's favorite of all the Mokas Nancy designed, so she was named after her!

For my card, I began with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC122.  The patterned paper is Lime Twist Life Of The Party from My Minds Eye.  I stamped Moka Taylor with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored her with Copic Markers and then fussy cut her out.  I layered her on top of a circle panel that I added texture to with the Scallops & Circles Impression Plate, which I also used on the background panel.

For the sentiment, I used the banner detail in the sketch to split the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from this set.  The best part?  The banners are from the Blimps and Banners Dies...I just used the part I needed and cut off the rest!  BONUS!  Due to the size of my focal image and the banners, I had to center Moka Taylor on my card, as opposed to being to one side as the sketch shows.  I did add three Kaisercraft Latte Pearls to the top left corner, so at least I followed that part (grin).  Tons of machine sitching was added, and all the elements are popped up on Foam Tape.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

My second card today features the BEAUTIFUL new Birds of a Feather set!  This is a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel and includes 21 stamps!  This set was llustrated by Nancy McKinney as part of the Whimsical Wishes line, and I LOVE how this set lends itself to cutesy, whimsical, or even elegant cards!  SO super versatile!

For my card, I used more Lime Twist Life of the Party paper from My Minds Eye.  I stamped the branch in Memento New Sprout and then cut it out with the Bird & Branch Die.  I then, using Copic Markers, added the brown to the branch portion.  I cut out TONS of birds using the patterned paper and the Bird & Branch Die, and then simply popped them up here and there in the branches using Foam Tape.

I separated the two patterns of paper with a border created with the Small Scallop Border Die, and added a fun floral embellishment using the Friendship Blooms Die.  Some Baker's Twine and a button finish this one off, along with some machine stitching (of course!).  I love the sentiment, "Happy Bird Day" and I stamped it directly onto the patterned paper!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this card:

Please head on over and visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen and see what they have cooked up today:

Happy Birthday MFT Lady!!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Thursday!

Today is a VERY special day...it's the day that the MFT Design Team is MOBBING our sweet and generous boss, Kim, for her Birthday!  WOOT WOOT!!

Did you make your way here from the wonderful Joanne's Blog?  If so, perfect!  If not, please start this mob at the sweet Arlene's Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Here is the card I created for the WONDERFUL Kim!  I just LOVE the entire Pure Innocence Line at My Favorite Things (and let's be honest...who doesn't?), and I had yet to get this sweetie, Pure Innocence Lather Rinse Repeat, inky (I know...for shame).  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  I cut out the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and drew in a frame with a Copic Multliner.  I paper pieced the bathtub with the same papers I used on my card, Lime Twist Life Of The Party from My Minds Eye, and added TONS of Crystal Stickles to all of the bubbles.

The sentiment, "Baby Yourself" is on Circle Nestabilities layered with Scallop Circle Nestabilities and I added a fun little tag using the Notched Tag Stamp Set and Die-Namics, and cut out the little ducky with My Favorite Felt in Banana.  I thought it was a cute addition to this bathtub scene!!  I added some Blossom Baker's Twine (YUM) and tons of stitching.  You can't really see, but the FABULOUS Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics makes an appearance under the focal panel.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper and stitching, as well as another border with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics.  The sentiment, "Enjoy Your Day" is from More Essential Sentiments (currently being restocked) and I layered it with the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics.  The extra circle layer is from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  LOVE how they layer SO perfectly!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

If you'd like to join the celebration, we'd LOVE you to participate! You can add a card to the Splitcoast Galleries using the keyword "HBMFTLADY" or, if you're a Facebook lovin' girl you can add your project to the MFT Fan Facebook page! Not yet a fan of MFT on Facebook? You can "like" it here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/My-Favorite-Things-Just-Delightful-Clear-Stamps/364057405371 and add your post! Don't have time to stamp? Just stop by the MFT Facebook page and wish the MFT Lady a happy birthday. Let's MOB her on her special day!

HAPPY {early} BIRTHDAY KIM!  I hope you have a WONDERFUL DAY that is as sweet as you are!  HUGS!

The next stop on this Birthday Mob Hop is at the incredibly talented (and super sweet!) Jody's Blog!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

We have TWO amazing new sets to share with you today!  First up is the ADORABLE new Life Is A Circus set!  This is my personal FAVORITE set of this entire amazing release!!!  This is the latest in the darling Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions, and was illustrated by Doug Applegate (he also illustrated the DARLING Green Acres set which I know SO many of you love!).

Life Is A Circus is a full sized set on a 5.75 X 8.5 full color sturdy storage panel and includes a total of 17 stamps!  Like all of the stamps offered from Taylored Expressions, Life Is A Circus is made from deeply etched rubber in a cute shade of pink and comes mounted on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to use with your acrylic blocks!  This set has SO many possibilities!  You can create a fabulous circus scene, or just use the images individually, as I have done here, to create cards for kids and adults alike!
I started with (once again) Jen's June SFYTT for the layout, and all of the patterned paper is Little Boy from Echo Park Papers.  I used the Stars Impression Plate to add texture to the circle panel under my sweet elephant, and created a border with the FABULOUS new Star Border.  The stars anchoring my "Take Time For Fun" sentiment were created with the awesome new Seeing Stars Dies!  This ADORABLE elephant, and his stand, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut.  I just think he is the cutest little elephant!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

Next up today is a GORGEOUS new set illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expressions...In The Clouds!  OMG...this set is SO darling I can't even stand it!  It's a full sized set on a 5.75 X 8.5 full color sturdy storage panel and includes a total of 25 stamps.  I just love the pure whimsy of this set!

There are SO many options with this set, especially when paired with the GORGEOUS new Blimps & Banners Dies!!!  These dies make it SO easy to create a sweet card SUPER fast, and I just love you can mix the blimps and banners...in fact, many sentiments from other TE sets will work wonderfully in these banners...love that!

I started by stamping the blimp and banner onto Choice Snow White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and then cut them out with the appropriate dies and colored them with Copic Markers.  I created a FAB (I think) cloudy border out of felt with the AWESOME new Cloud Border Die!  I even added some more clouds with the Cloud Duo Die under the blimp and banner for extra whimsy.

I created some grassy "hills" with patterned paper from Lime Twist Life Of The Party from My Minds Eye, and added some stitching to anchor it to my card.  A fun border created with the sweet Picket Fence Die completes my scene!  I think this set is perfect for birthday cards, friendship, thank you, thinking of you...sheesh, the possibilities are endless!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

Please head on over and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have created with these sets today!

HB2U!

It's week 26 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  MFTWSC26 is up!

I am just in LOVE with the newest additions to the á la modes at My Favorite Things, and I thought this sketch would be perfect to show off the sweet new á la modes in You Are Unrepeatable!  Isn't she super sweet?

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and cut her out with Circle Nestabilities and then colored her with Copic Markers.  I layered her onto a panel cut with the Open Scallop Doily Die-Namics, which I just LOVE!

All of the patterned paper is UPcycle from Cosmo Cricket and I used the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics (one of my fav!) for the border.  For the sentiment, "HB2U", which is also from the á la modes in You Are Unrepeatable, I cut it out with one of the dies from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics (LOVE!).  Tons of machine stitching finish this one off!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Hot Stuff!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!

I have been quietly amassing quite a stash of Paper Smooches stamps (LOVE them), but haven't had time to get them inky!  I sat down for a bit of quiet time this weekend and created this quick, CAS card!

CAS is not a style I claim to be proficient at, however, I really do love the look of CAS and like to push myself to create cards using a different style than my normal of lots of layers and patterned paper.

I used the Fall To Layout 145 from the Clean & Simple Blog for my layout, and I also used a few different Paper Smooches sets.  I thought it would be fun to make one of the televisions from Boob Tubes into a convection oven!  The pie from FOLKal Points was the perfect addition to my improvised "oven" and the sentiment, "Hot Stuff" is from Vegtastic!

The "oven" was colored with Copic Markers, and I used Fine Linen for my card base, and for the three color blocked panels I used Smokey Shadow, Dark Chocolate and Kraft.  The only embellishments are Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the buttons on my "oven" and a simple bow of Baker's Twine.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Paper:  Fine Linen (PTI), Smokey Shadow (PTI), Dark Chocolate (PTI), Kraft (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE)

For The Happy Couple!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!

A friend from work has recently gotten engaged, and I wanted to create a card for him and his fiancee to commemorate the occassion!

I just ADORE the new Moka line @ Taylored Expressions!  These stamps are SO totally adorable, and are a fabulous value too!

For my card today, I did a bit of masking!  I began by stamping Moka Charlotte in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and I then stamped her again on a post it note and cut her out to create a mask.  I then placed the mask over my stamped image and then stamped Moka Jack next to her.  I pulled off the mask and Viola!  The perfect couple!

These cuties were colored with Copic Markers, and Charlotte's veil and dress got a nice coating of Starfire Glitter.  She is SUPER sparkly in real life!  I cut them out and embossed the panel with Wonky Rectangle Nestabilities (LOVE this shape).  The sentiment, "For The Happy Couple", is from Sweet Bliss, and I cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities.

All of the patterned paper is Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky from My Minds Eye (I think my laptop can type that by itself at this point, I use this paper SO much!) and I added some Kaisercraft Pearl Pearls.   I added a big bow created with seam binding, and tons of stitching.  I popped up the focal panel, as well as the sentiment panel, with Foam Tape for some dimension.

This card was SO super fun to make...I am hoping that my friend and his fiancee like it too!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

You Perk Me Up!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!  I have another card today using the AWESOME June SFYTT and some delightful new rubbah from Stamping Bella, our fabulous sponsor this month!

I just LOVE the line of Little Peeps at Stamping Bella, and I was SO excited to get to work with the Perk Me Up Peeps!  Aren't they SO super cute?  They make my coffee lovin' heart happy for sure!

I started by stamping these cuties in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and I colored them, and part of the cup, with Copic Markers.  I then stamped them again onto Kraft cardstock and cut out the belly band and paper pieced it.  I also paper pieced the actual coffee cup with some of the same papers I used on my card, Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe from Echo Park Papers (the pink and orange) and I also used Dots & Stripes Metropolitan from Echo Park Papers (the green).  YUM!

The  Kraft background panel and the Hot Fudge circle panel were embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, and the sentiment, "You Perk Me Up", which comes with these peeps (bonus!) was cut out and layered on top of cardstock cut from the two banners from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics from MFT.  The border was created with the Open Bracket Border Die-Namics.  I added tons of machine stitching and an orange embellie on either side of the sentiment.

There are still a few days left to get your submission in before the end of the month!  I hope you've been playing along so you have the chance at winning the huge prize package in December!  All the deets for this month's sketch are right HERE on Jen's Blog!!

Thanks SO much for looking!

June TE Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!  I am excited to have a card today for the Taylored ExpressionsJune Blast From The Past Blog Hop!  This month, our theme is Old Glory!

For my card, I used the FABULOUS sketch designed by our very own Sankari.  She always provides us with wonderful sketches!

For my card, I was excited to use some of the delish new Liberty papers from Bo Bunny!  They were just the ticket for this month's challenge!   I started by stamping this SUPER sweet firework lovin' Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 2 in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then, using a Copic Multliner, created the frame around Cuppie, leaving a space.

In the little space, and on the "ends" of all the fireworks, I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, and used a mixture of both Crystal Twinkles and Multicolor Twinkles.  There are lots on my card...but Embellie Gellie made placing them SO easy!

Between my two panels of patterned paper, I added a border with the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die, and the sentiment, "Happy 4th of July", from A Year of Sweet Sentiments, was cut out and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities and I added a frame and Twinkles to that panel as well.   All of the panels are popped up on Foam Tape and a simple bow created with The Bow Easy, and tons of machine stitching, finish this one off!

Here is the Taylored Die I've used on this card:

All of the patterned paper is Stella and Rose Hattie from My Minds Eye (are you impressed that I didn't use Lime Twist?).   I used the FAB Open Scallop Doily Die-Namics for the circle element, and added some Baker's Twine and a star from the Stacking Stars Die-Namics.

MFT WTG VIP Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

I am SO excited to share the July WTG VIP Kit from My Favorite Things with you!  WOOT WOOT!  To ensure you don't miss a single bit of inspiration, please head on over to Kim's Blog to start the hop!

Take a glance at the July WTG VIP Kit:

Pretty fabulous right?  Here is what is included:

Who's that Mermaid? stamp set
Mermaid Sentiments MINI stamp set (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE)
Die-namics Large Rolled Rose die

Oh my word...LOVE this kit and new WTG!!!  For my card, I started with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC121.  It was perfect for what I had in mind for my card tonight.  I stamped this AWESOME WTG Mermaid in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and then created a mask for her.  After I masked her off, I stamped in the coral and sea grass (which I then covered up with my sentiment panel...grrrrr).  I colored the entire image with Copic Markers and then added TONS of shimmer on her ensemble and sea coral.  I stamped the bubbles and then placed pearls on top of them for a fun accent.

All of the patterned paper is Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky from My Minds Eye and I created the waves on the bottom out of the same patterned paper and the Catch A Wave Die-Namics.  I added some glitter to the tops of the waves as well.  I used the Dizzy Doily Die-Namics for the circle element of the sketch, and of course, that was all glittered up as well.  For the sentiment panel, I used the EXCLUSIVE mini set and the sentiment "May your day bubble over with fun".  LOVE that!  I cut it out with one of the banners from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, and, you guessed it, added more glitter to that panel as well.  Some more pearls finish off the front.

For the inside, I stamped the sea grass along the bottom, colored them all with Copic Markers and then added glitter to them.  A sentiment from WTG Mermaid, "Have a fan-flippin'-tastic day" was stamped in the center and I added a pearl to each side.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

The next stop on the hop is at the always inspiring Megan's Blog!  I am certain she will have something fan-flippin'-tastic to share with you!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

MFTeaser: The a la modes in You Are Unrepeatable!

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN JUST A SMIDGE FOR MY THERE SHE GOES PREVIEW.  THANKS!**

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!!  We are right in the middle of previewing the new a la modes from My Favorite Things!!

The SUPER adorable new a la mode up to bat today is the a la modes in You Are Unrepeatable!  LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!!  Can you even stand her little iPod?  Eeeek!  SO cute!

For my card, I started with last week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS112.  I stamped this sassy gal in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  I left her pants white for a change...I really like the look of that.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then drew in a frame with my Copic Multliner.  I left a bit of a space and added in two blue pearls for a bit of pop.

All of the patterned paper is from Lime Twist Out Of The Blue from My Minds Eye and I also used the same papers to create that sweet flower using the Pretty Posies Die-Namics and Button Quartet Die-Namics.  I tied the button with a bit of Baker's Twine.  The sentiment, "HB2U" was stamped and then cut out with the smaller banner from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics
