MFT Creative Chat - Ribbon!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:
Show us how you store your ribbon.
What are your favorite types of ribbon?
Any tips or tricks on how to use ribbon on stamped creations?

Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team.

I LOVE the monthly Creative Chat feature...mostly because I love seeing how everyone organizes all of their goodies!  This month, it's all about the ribbon!

First up, I have a wall storage system that I got at Michaels awhile back.  The bottom two sections have dowels for ribbon and this is where I keep alot of the ribbon I use all of the time.  Right below the storage system I have three ribbon containers that I got way back when I was an SU! Demo.  These are still chock full of SU! ribbon, which I still sometimes use.

Those four glass jars were a $1.00 spot find in my local Stop & Shop and they are really meant for tea, sugar, etc.  I thought they would look cute with ribbons and plan on going back to get some more before they are gone!

Next up is my Ribbon Carousel!  My hubs got this for me for this past Christmas and this is where I keep my specialty ribbons, most of which are also from The Ribbon Carousel.  This is a fun product and I LOVE to see all the spools of yummy ribbon lined up.  It spins like a dream and I keep this right next to my stamp desk for easy access.

Now, I will admit, I have LOTS more ribbon...the bulk of which is in a drawer and is SUCH a huge mess, there is NO way I would allow a photograph.  I hope to one day get them all on spoons on additional Ribbon Carousels...hey, a girl can dream right?  I know I NEED another to store all the new, DELISH ribbon now available HERE at MFT.  Yay!

When I was going through my stash I found some yummy lace ribbon and was inspired to create a card!  I pulled out the recently released Pure Innocence Purrfect and got to work!  She is stamped and colored with Copic Markers, and I paper pieced her dress with the same papers I've used on the card, This & That Graceful from Echo Park Papers.  The card base and accents were cut with Hot Fudge Cardstock.  Did you see MFT is now carrying their cardstock again?  This is my FAVORITE cardstock ever!  SO excited!

Do you spy the panel under the crochet ribbon?  It was cut with the Jumbo Ric Rac Die-Namics, which I find myself reaching for quite a bit these days.  It's such a great width and I love to layer it with other dies or ribbons.  I also added some twine on top of the crochet ribbon (let's not even discuss my twine ok?  I REALLY need to organize it...I have SO much!).  I also added a border with the Open Scallop Border Die-Namics, and the flower was created with the Pretty Posies Die-NamicsAs I usually do, I added a paper button in the center cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics.  Here is a closeup:

For the inside, I added more of the same patterned papers (aren't they yummy?) and stamped a sentiment from Pure Innocence Purrfect, "You Are Purrfect".  Lots of stitching on both the front and inside finish this one off.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
