Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!
I am still without power here on Long Island, but I was just able to jump online and I realized that my MFT Wednesday Sketch post never posted!
Here is the card I created for this week's sketch, MFTWSC96. I put lots of Die-Namics to work and in fact, there is no stamping at all on the front of my card!
All of the patterned paper is the new Soleil from Basic Grey. I think these colors and patterns are so fun, and almost a bit Valentine-y, so I went with an I love you theme. I used the Banner Day Die-Namics to create my little banner, and I used Sweet Tooth Cardstock for the card base and layers. I also used Steel Grey Cardstock...love this new Grey!
Using the By The Letters Die-Namics I cut out "i" and "u" and then I cut the heart from the Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics out of Razzleberry Felt. I added a Grapesicle Button to the heart tied with some Pink Sorbet Twine, which I also used for the banner.
I used Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics behind the "i" and "u" as well as for the circle element on the top of the sketch. The border was cut with the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics and I added three silver brads to the top and bottom to balance things out.
Here is a closeup of the banner:
On the inside I added more patterned paper, another border cut with the Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics and some more Pink Sorbet Twine. The sentiment is from More Essential Sentiments (love this set!).
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
Here is this week's sketch:
We'd love for you to play along! You can get all the details on our SCS forum HERE.
Thanks SO much for stopping by, and for those of you who left comments here on my blog and on Facebook inquiring if we were ok, THANK YOU! It means SO much! Thankfully, the worst we are suffering is no power (or heat...brrr!), and there are alot of fallen trees, but my beloved Long Island really took a beating and it is heartbreaking to see the devastation so many are suffering, including a dear friend of mine whose home was damaged quite badly by the storm surge.
Thank you again :) Once I have full internet up and running I will be by to comment!
